Aly interview at RTV

Postby kajo 2000 » Fri Aug 22, 2003 2:07 am

There is another new Aly interview at RTV (German TV?). As before, the automatic translator was only partially helpful so I was wondering if I could impose upon our German-speaking Kittens again?

I would be really grateful if one of you could please translate this (fairly short) interview into English. If you click on the RTV link above, it will take you directly to the page it's on (Aly's interview is underneath one with Jason Biggs).

Thanks in advance.

I'll do it now unless someone else is already at it. :eyebrow

Edit: Well, Lindy may be asleep alread so this time I beat her to it, but she can check up on me to make sure I am not making anything up. :p

It's short and sweet. :)

===================================

Alyson Hannigan (30)* was doing McDonald commercials at age 4, but she became famous through BtVS and the American Pie movie.

Alyson, part three is about getting married. Shortly before filming started you got an engagement ring from your ex-colleague Alexis Denisof.

That's right. That was during the Christmas holidays. The most romantic day of my life.

When will the wedding take place?

Hopefully this year. But a wedding doesn't organize itself. I'd prefer it if I would not have to plan anything at all.

If you would not have been a success as an actress, what would you have become?

Probably a dolphin trainer at Seaworld.

What possible mistakes have you made in your career?

I need to try stop doing things that I am not totally and completely behind. Things that one does in order to do others a favour. That is simply pointless.

Do you promise to better yourself in the future?

(laughs)Sure, from now on I will only do what I want!

Thanks Kajo and DrG!

I wonder what Aly is referring to here. It would be a favor to ME for her to appear again in one of their productions but possibly it refers to something she did that she didn't like before BTVS. Aly's AP3 interviews have been extraorinarily consistent: excited about her wedding and wanting to move on and do something different. I hope she gets a chance to do a sitcom or anything else she wants outside of ME.

I suspect she's probably referring to "Beyond the city limits" (aka "Rip it off"). I seem to recall she said she was less than happy about it.

Thanks Kajo, but it only took a few minutes and you are the one who is always bringing all the goodies here, so thank you. :)

As for that doing favours comment, I believe she means Beyond City Limits. I don't think she is referring to that show, she was under contract for that one, working on it wasn't really a favour.

Anyway, if she is hoping to get married this year she better hurry up hee, maybe she just does not want to give away a definite date. The people I know that have gotten married (their numbers are increasing steadily as I sit here aging) had the date set at least a year in advance.
