Be still my beating heart and other parts of me as well.
Talk about wanting to own an item which Aly has touched and breathed on and has absorbed her sweet essence.
Alas with Amber's handcuffs, Aly's bra is too rich for my bank account.

What I don't get is why is Alyson's name mispelled. There's no L in the Aly; I'm a little skeptical of this one.

Another thing about it that seems dodgy is that the description on the Aly bra seems not to have been read over. That or this guy as some serious sentence structure issues. He keeps repeating words in the same sentence where it just doesn't make any sense to do so.

Also on the Aly bra, the reason he gives for selling it is that he spent too much money on charmed props. But on another of his items, a buffy cross, he says that he's trying to raise funds for a sick aunt in Australia who has cancer...
Incidently, I have this sock that I found on my floor, I think it was once worn by shakespere cos it has an S on it in ink. I need to sell it because my son's nephew's uncle is dying of somereallyfakeillnessthatisobviouslyfaketoallitis...

Check this out on E-Bay

Postby Kendahl897 » Wed Jul 18, 2007 10:17 am

Its a custom W/T figure made by Sasha from the episode of FAMILY and its for sale on E-Bay. Would you believe the bidding is already at almost $700

Holy cow! That's a rediculous amount for action figures, even if it is custom. It is nicely done, but I would never drop that kind of cash on it.

That custom "Family" Willow/Tara two pack is exquisitely detailed and worth every pound someone is going to fork over but it's too rich for my blood.

I agree. I also wouldn't call them action figures because they're so fragile. The two are are almost a porcelain figurine.

What the artist does is harvest parts from action figures. Willow and Taras' faces, Anya's legs, Tara bodies, etc . Then she pieces them together, etc, sculpts clay on top, molds them, repaints the clothing and etc. Here's an article I found describing the process:

http://www.fwooshnet.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=627080

I've got a few extra W/T figures lying around. I've thought about giving it a try. But something easy. Perhaps the scene from Seeing Red where they are lying in bed together trying to decipher the trios blueprints. W/T 's heads. some nude bodies, a VCR case for the bed, sculpting clay for the sheets and pillows, throw in a few accessories. It might work.LOL

Not knocking the figures at all. It is very detailed and nicely done. Sasha is very good at what she does. I am very familiar with her work and have been following it for over a year. She's one of the best customizers out there. It is very well done and captures the scene perfectly, but it's way too much money for it IMO. But to each his/her own...

Kendahl897- If you're gonna give it a go, you should check out a customizer under the name "willowswarlock" over on the Buffy Custom Figures board. He did a custom of W/T from Seeing Red where they were in bed. It might give you a bit of inspiration for how to go about it. :)
If you do give it a go, be sure to show it. I'd be interested in seeing it.

I saw`that. He does nice work. I was thinking perhaps that scene where they're in bed, but looking at the ancient texts. I pretty much have it figured out, except I need two 6'' nude female figures...LOL

W/T Merchandise

Postby magicdanw » Sun Nov 18, 2007 8:26 pm

With holidays coming up, my parents have been waiting for me to drop hints as to what gifts I might be interested in. Certainly I'd enjoy some Buffy-themed gifts (possibly action figures), and particularly ones concerning our two favorite girls! Does anyone have any recommended sites to shop on for W/T and general Buffy merchandise, that I could forward on to my parents? Thanks! :pinky

Well, E-Bay is a good place to start. They have figures, watches, mousepads, etc. Just type in Willow/Tara. Also, Joy Argento has some great W/T prints on her website. Other than that, perhaps try typing W/T merchandise onto Google.

I have to second Joy Argento's website since I am the proud owner of all of her beautiful Willow and Tara prints and her technique is exquisite.

I third Joy Argento--her work is exquisite! Parrish Relics made me a custom Willow necklace and this-land dot net made me custom Willow and Tara plush dolls even though they usually do Firefly:) Peggy Li Creations also made jewels for the show that Willow and Tara wore and if you go on Etsy, Greenwoman Crafts makes peacock feather necklaces like Tara wore in "Family."Hope that helps!

Thanks! For me, holidays means Hanukkah, so it's already past. But I already told my mom about Joy Argento, and she gave me a lovely illustration of Willow and Tara, among other Buffy-related gifts. :)

I have loads of Buffy Inkworks cards but, yeah, ebay is the best place to save you postage etc. If you search under 'Buffy Tara' or 'Buffy Amber' you will find well over a hundred different cards, some signed by Amber herself (although beware of fakes), from as little as a dollar or two. Hope that helps.
