Thanks for the fanfiction link! I'll check it out.

I have to admit, I'd been cautiously trying to catch up on C/A storyline and thought the couple well acted, but now I'm thinking fan fiction is the only way to fly in this world.

I was especially taken aback by the fact that they would bring Amber in for a sweeps episode where they are breaking up the only lesbian couple in prime time. What the heck?! Any wonder that episode had C/A trending on twitter around the world on the night it aired?

Shonda had to know Amber played Tara and that she has a huge gay following so why bring her in for an episode where you are taking a sledge hammer to the lesbian relationship and beating it into dust?

If they were looking to add new viewers from the buffy fandom to greys, they really blew it.

Shonda's a HUGE Buffy fan, so she would definitely know about Amber's gay fanbase.

Seems her mind is about as twisted as Joss Whedon's!

That's a great community! I love how busy they are and how they clearly sensor the spoilers for those that don't want them. And lots of fic.

I've been with GA for six and a half years (and all of season four, the weakest season so far (IMHO)), and I've greatly enjoyed the series. Yes, the break up could have been handled with more dignity, but is this the end for C/A? I doubt it. Both actresses have said the characters are in it for the long haul, but that it's going to be a bumpy road. I'm willing to give the show time to make everything work out.

I do agree that it maybe wasn't the best decision to have Amber guest on the breakup episode. But I watch for the show, not just the pairing, so I'm sure I'm more tolerant then many others.

I agree, C/A will most certainly get back together. I watched the show from the start, but once Arizona came on the scene I fell completely in love with her and now she's the main reason I watch. I know I'm going to miss her in the episodes where she is gone, but hey, she's back from maternity leave already so she shouldn't be gone for too many episodes.

And yes, definitely a bit of a weird move having Amber guest star on the break-up episode, but I'm more annoyed they didn't utilise Amber's talent anywhere near enough lol. I think a lot of people would have preferred watching her than the boring trauma training in the rain

Did anyone realize that Adam Busch was in the latest ep of Grey's??

I found it kinda hilarious that he was on it 5 eps after Amber.

He was Yang's resident, right?

I gotta admit, I didn't really notice him at first then randomly I was like, "Hey, that's Adam!"

LOL, I noticed right away. I said straight off, "Oh no, not Warren Mears!" And my wife laughed at me.

Speaking of Grey's...is anyone else rolling their eyes at Callie being knocked up by Mark? Why can't Calzona be back together and happy?!

My reaction was to yell "Keep him away from the lesbians!". It was nice to see him as a non creepy character though.

Shonda promises that C/A will be treated properly, but that the road will be bumpy. I knew Callie would be pregnant the second she slept with Mark. It's just that kind of a show. That said, I'm completely happy with everything they've done this year, and can not wait for more.

Shonda didn't really say they'd be treated right, just that they'd end up together. Given the show and how the writers are treating this storyline so far, I expect a lot of mindfuckery and character assasination.

Ahh, perchance I have a bit more faith. I've been with the show since the beginning, and while there have been rough patches, over all I've never been left unhappy (with the exception of Izzie leaving, but that was the actress more than the writers).

I think I've become totally jaded because I have no faith in Shonda Rhimes or her telling of the C/A story now. She brought Amber/Tara on for the episode where C/A break up and she brought Adam/Warren on for the episode where Callie drops the baby bomb on Arizona, virtually destroying C/A as they had been and forcing them into the threesome plus baby they've been foreshadowing for over a year now. I liked the couple, but as Az noted she felt like she was being forced to data Mark against her will, so I as a viewer feel I am being forced to ship a threesome against my will. This is just another lesbian cliche being played (two women with a male in the middle who knocks one of them up) out by a writer who should know better. Its a recyled cliche. Not cool and not new innovative storytelling. Not interested in mark callie baby and the appended lesbian Az tag along modern family. Maybe someday it will be safe to leave fan fiction for the small screen again, but at this point in time, Not so much. Yah for fan fiction!
