I would like to whisper recruitment plans in Amber's ears but they wouldn't be creepy at all, I swear.
Yay for Amber's return to the character of Lenore as brunette Amber was hot enough to make the vampires combust on their own without the messiness of being staked or direct sunlight .

Wow, that was very...uh...disappointing.

Of course her performance was excellent, but her appearance was little more than a cameo. They could have done SOOOO
MUCH with Lenore. Instead she appears, and then poof she's dead.

What's the matter with these people? Can't they recognize what a great asset they could have had???

I never really warmed up to the show but as of now I'm done.

Seems TV producers can't see AMber any other way than as a corpse-in-training.

Not to mention destroying the whole potential of Lenore's storyline of abstinent vampires. Then again, this 'verse does seem pretty deterministic int erms of roles a being can play, along with kind of a nihilistic attitude to life in general.

Yes was saddened to hear that once more a season 6 has produced a dead Amber character for a similarly weak reason as before and again at the expense of the dramatic weight of a different tack the storyline could have taken. Whilst I get that its work and Amber was doing a job and all that it saddens me that once again she has become the sacrificial lamb in a storyline where her character being alive would have had far more dramatic weight and benefit.

What it is, more than anything else, is a complete waste. Builders who waste quality materials in the way that the scriptwriters have wasted Amber's talents would have been fired for shoddy workmanship. But once again nihilism in the name of ratings and "entertainment" seem more important than actually building something.

I'm not a great fan of fluffy tv and am all for shows dealing with the grey of life but dealing with the grey doesn't always have to mean nihilism. What we have now (and I do blame Joss Whedon in part for this) is a generation of writers who feel that the dark is the only way that horror can go, that fantasy and sci-fi can only work if all hope is extinguished and that hope is only raised in order for it to be extinguished. It is literal dystopian television. Joss' major error was attempting to call his dystopian tv a positive thing but to their credit the producers of Supernatural have never claimed such ideals.

Strange isn't it. Supernatural was only meant to run for 5 years and was, due to its success given a 6th season which was not part of the original plan and it has come a cropper as a result of it. Sound familiar?

I've not actually seen the episode yet because we've only just started to get season six of Supernatural but it does make me more than a little .
