What fun! Quick dialogue. Loved the sparkage between sister and brother! And did I detect a tell-tale half smile on Tamara?? Wait a minute, TAmaRA....hmmm.

hmmmm.. i think kitties make ghosts of albion go BOOM.. i haven't actually been able to watch the episode because its taking forever... perhaps to many people are trying to get on..

in the mean time, you all should take a look at all the extras because i love all the goodies on the ghosts of albion web site... there's pictures "exclusively" taken by Danielle Benson and of course there's some nice ones of Amber... even better, they're already made for our desktops!! :)

Watched the first episode, and I like it.

daiailun, you are right, the dialogue is very good, especially between the two siblings. Also, I liked the pacing, particularly after things stated happening.

The first episode was very good. It certainly bodes well for future episodes.

It's a pity we have to wait a week for the next part.

One criticism is that the lip syncing seemed to be out slightly but that might have been because I went for the high quality version.

I SAW IT !!! Wow. From humoric-ghost story to lunch for beast. Ambers hand in directing is know - she learn at Buffy how work with dark and fear. Tamara remind me like half Amber and half tall model :) . And her half-smile (its Ambers !!) !!

One question - the parts are about few minutes right ? Or I missed something ?

One part its for me, in light of storm is two cavalry-sabres, maybe Tamara (or Tara ?) get one and cut beasts. Or she throw to they flame of justice !!! And lord Byron - its second ressurection (first was on Highlander) what I know.

Can I pleased for transcript or something. I understand in full sense but in details I sometimes swim :( .

I will raring for next.

Re: Amber and Chris Golden's BBC project: Ghosts of Albion 3

Postby Hemiola » Thu Mar 27, 2003 1:19 pm

Well, since I don't have sufficient computer savvy to view the animation, I had to content myself with the "sound only" version. However, I have to say that it works very nicely as a "radio drama":) .

Can anyone provide a "cast list" of the performers? It would be nice to know who is playing each character.

It is very well written, and I look forward to listening to the next installments as they become available. It should be a terrific addition to AB's resume:) .

One thing, though: shouldn't Lord Byron have a Scottish accent;) ?

I just woke up and the first thing I've done: Watch the first act of Ghosts of Albion :D

I'm so impressed by Amber(and all the others)'s work! And, ya know, with this story I think we can be sure Tamara's not going to sleep with one of the disgusting demons (mm.. no references about a certain primary characters of a certain serie that I stopped to watch, written by a certain :joss [:rage ])

I can't wait for the act two to be online :D :dance

I have one complaint - it's too short! :p

And as others have said, if you browse around the site there's plenty to see. Jasmine Hyde (Tamara) has some great things to say about Amber in a couple of her interview clips, here and here (or you can find the text version here). Leslie Phillips (Ludlow) seems fond of her, too.

That was fantastic. It sucked me right in and I didn't want it to be over. I liked the balance of the banter between Tamara and William and the drama, especially at the end when the werebeasts crashed through the window.

I'm excited to see what happens next.

:lol Lord Byron fancies William! Looked like he fancies Tamara a bit, too. Good ol' Lord Byron.

Amber and Chris are an awesome team. I hope this project will open even more doors for them both.

Ok that ruled. The animation is seriously good for a flash movie, and I can't wait to see where the story's going.

Does anyone outside Britain know who Leslie Phillips is? I just keep imagining him saying 'Hello' and ding-dong to Amber. It's very funny.

the animation rocked!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the banter between siblings too. the kill part was gross though all bloody and bloody. lol. it was awesome though. i'm very impressed. yes it was too short!!!!!!! is it me or does tamara look a bit like amber? lol... and i'm not sure lord byron was being his bi self but he sure was being quite theatrical.

"Take care of my heart, won't you please? Take care of it because it's all that I have. And if you let me, I'll take care of your heart too." Pure sweetness in the look between Willow and Tara.

Wow... just got a chance to watch, and I'm amazed! I knew I was in for a treat simply because Amber was so involved with this project, but beside that fact I so thoroughly enjoyed the first part. Really the dialogue was witty, the scare factor was present with the beasts, and the animation was superb... I so can't wait for the next part.

I agree about it being way too short though.

Can't wait for Act 2.

Is it just me? William Swift looks like a skinny human version of Penfold.

The demons were really frightening. I never expected that.

Yes, Lord Byron is so gay!

I'm not sure about the ghosts of famous people. It reminds me "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles."

I LOVED it!!! And yes, I agree with everyone else, much too short. Can't wait for the next installment! I was prepared for it to be scary, which it was (all that dripping blood! yeesh!), but I wasn't expecting it to also be so funny! Lord Byron cracks me up.

And this is just the cutest picture ever. Amber is such a ham. Hee. :laugh

If you download macromedia flash, it plays really well and clearly, even on a low connection like mine. I have dial up and had no problems getting this to play. And it looks great. The animation is really good, even down to the facial expressions and reactions, like "Close your mouth, William." Heh.

I did find some of the dialogue a little too colloquial given the time in which it's set, but on the whole, it didn't distract me from the plot and characterisation, which was really enjoyable and I was interested from beginning to end. I'm looking forward to seeing the next part now. :)

Wow! that was truely awesome. Great animation, great script, teriffic characters - Byron was so funny and William seems like a bit of a drama queen. It's too short !!!

Tea and scones all round. I can feel a Ghosts Of Albion tour of London coming on! :clap

J uk...yep, I reckon Leslie Phillips would have done his legendary lectherous 'Helllo' thing with Amber - bet he also did it to Angelina Jolie on Tomb Raider - priceless !!!!

Thought the b&w photos by Danielle rocked !
