I am sooo depressed...I was really hoping to get enough money for Christmas to merit buying this...because Chance was the first movie in a long time to make me laugh out loud...when I first got it I watched it 3 times in 2 days...and I am dying to see more of the inside of Amber's wonderfully demented psyche...but I only got $50 for Christmas...and can I really justify spending $30 on a movie when this brings my total assets to $61.49? Waiting for disability sucks...I wonder if they have state aid for indigent Amber fans...

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to receive the dvd in the US? I placed my order on Dec 6th and received an email confimation the following day from PayPal. I am getting a little anxious to see this film after everything I've read on this board. I need my Amber fix!!

I ordered a copy and received it today. Very different than Chance. Comical in some areas, but actually heartfelt.[spoiler]Amber's character may be a robber, but she's very innocent, almost too innocent. Her gentleness makes her unware of a loaded gun. The character dies in the end of the film.[/spoiler]

Hey, madeira blue -- Do you have a copy of your invoice saved in your e-mail account? If you used PayPal you can check your account history to find the date it was ordered. (Benson Entertainment will have a record of your order but it would expedite things if you had the invoice to send along with your e-mail.) If you can't locate an invoice just send your full name, address, format of DVD (PAL or NTSC) and approximate date the order was placed to: bensonentertainment@hotmail.com and explain that you have not received your DVD. I'm sure this will be taken care of as quickly as possible!

OK, so I finally got to watch the movie, and I really liked it.

Talk about quirky, it most definately was. Well done.

I watched the move with a couple of friends sunday night. we all thought it quite funny. I was impressed with the quality of the acting. The "mom" gave an outstanding performance, she really took the character to a different level.

amber has a great sense of humor and it translates well on screen and of course her character was well acted

while the film was indeed funny, it has the potential to be even more than just a good black comedy.

I think a few changes in the pacing and a bit more character development would kick this up a notch. Given the strong performance from Esterbrook, perhaps telling the story from the moms POV/developing her characters journey - with the other characters stories being told as they relate to her journey - would give the characters amber created more depth and the story more direction and resonance.

All in all - a very entertaining film, lots of laughs and excellent performances - quite enjoyable and I highly recommend it

The box to the movie doesn't acually have a rating, but I'd give it an "R" rating for strong sexual content.

Apparently it will occur at the Cinema Arts Center, in Huntington NY on October 10th. Amber may be there as well - though it is not presently on the CAC calendar of events

Amber Benson will be at the Cinema Arts Centre in Huntington, NY to screen her second Independent Film, LOVERS, LIARS AND LUNATICS.

Starting at 1:15pm, there will be a brief introduction before the screening, a discussion on the film followed by a reception in the café. Amber will be selling the film so attendees may pick up a copy and have it signed at the reception!!
