Well I just watched Embers and just like the other ones, I loved it.

Sophia got on my nerves right away, too bad the zombies didn't get her :governator

Farris plowing through the zombies was great :lol

Looking forward to more.

I don't mind Sophia all that much really. Afterall she didn't seem that phased about Serena at all.

I enjoyed it, it is great to see "Ghosts" again.

I liked Serena. Reminded me of the faeries from "Wilderness" a little. Wonder why? ;)

Can't go wrong with zombies! Allways fun for the whole family.

Nice to see William is picking up a bit more magic, or at least wanting to.

Now we have to wait another week for more! Damn.

Tamara is looking a bit less like Amber, but Sophia reminded me of Christina Ricci, as far as her looks are concerned that is (I am just imagining a possible cast in case this gets made into a movie :p ). Not really a likable person, Sophia I mean. William is still a prissy virgin. He blushes so easily, if the powers of evil want him to drop dead, all they need to is say something really smutty.

Anyway, I liked it, curious to see what´s next.

Zombies! I love the wood sprite/faery, Serena, with her spikey red hair. Hee. Right into the thick of battle already. Oh.. the new feature with cast and crew interviews also has clips from future episodes.

Again I say.. Zombies!! Ultimate Cool factor.. Worth the wait.. Lotta fun!!!!!

Well done, again. Liked the first part very much.

Can't help it but also liked bitchy Sophia. For me she looks a lot like Helena Bonham Carter.

The feature is pretty cool, too! Zombie monkeys, now I can't wait to see that :lol

And a faery with spikey red hair? hehe www.rugratonline.com/fee2ba.jpg :grin

Who said Sophia looks like Christina Ricci? When I saw her, I thought Wednesday Addams + Daria! :laugh

I'm sure that Sophia and Lord Winchell are hiding stuff... William should be careful!

Yay for GoA 2004! :)

ETA: I was comparing the "old Tamara" and the "new Tamara" and I find the new one even hotter, is it just me? ;)

yes, fighting demons, ferals and faeries tends to make one much more attractive.

Now that's what I call an opening chapter.

Just rife with sexual innuendo emitting smouldering embers from a sprite/human dalliance and William with the Woman in Red.

Either a nod to John Dillinger or Chris DeBurgh, there.

Sofia Winchell's a forthright modern girl herself and I can't see her as the traditional 'twist your ankle' type heroine.

Not with India Fisher voicing her, at any rate.

In keeping with Halloween, for my money, you just can't go wrong with a zombie army arising from the family graveyard and advancing on the mansion.

The new Tamara is hot but I'd like to give Sofia the kiss of life.

Christina Ricci is so damn hot and her animated lookalike is even hotter.:luv

The part of Sophia is played by India Fisher, who - as the bio page on the GoA website points out - is best known for playing Charley Pollard, companion of Paul McGann's Eighth Doctor in the Doctor Who audio adventures produced by Big Finish Productions.

Here's a photo I took of her at last February's Gallifrey One convention:

As for "Embers," personally I don't like the new animation. Tamara does look less like Amber now. But the story was fun. I'm looking forward to more. :)

Well, I guess the animation's just... different. I think I got kinda attached to the 'old' style. At least it was creepy- zombies and all- and the fast paced part where Sophia's zombie-mother got her forehead speared, well, that was just priceless...!

But I miss the humour, especially William's sharp sarcasm. Hmm... maybe that's also got something to do with the animation style. I found the first to be more expressive (like their faces and fluidly in movement and such) but hey, this is just the first act, so...

I love the characters anyway, no matter how they're drawn. :p

New Ghosts is up!

Another cliffhanger. ;)

I think I figured out what is so different about this one from "Legacy", Amber is not directing it. The direction of "Legacy" had an almost etheric pace to it, it unfolded like a horror novel. "Embers" has more of an "Indiana Jones" fell to it.

By the way to translocate from London to Tangier is a trip of 1088 miles. Not that I had have to know that for any reason of course.

Characters...

Well William is coming off as a bit of a prat isn't he.

And it seems very easy to push Nigel's buttons.

I don't trust Lord Winchel. He was a little too unaffected by the zombies for my taste.

It is also very cool we got to hear about other Protectors from other lands. I like to hear how many more historical figures were once Protectors.

Another great part. It was nice to see old faces like Bodicea, Lord Nelson and Nigel. Oblis is very creepy, good stuff.

And the zombie monkeys are here!

Can't wait for Act Three.

Allriiight, now that's more like it... I think I'm finally getting into it. William might be a prat, but at least he's one who makes me chuckle again. Gravitational influence of errant comets, attacks of zombie-digits and Moroccan spicy food, heh.

Sophia seems a bit off, though if that stems from sheer shock or the fact she's up to something, I don't know.

Indeed it was good to see some familiar faces. Makes me feel all homey. WebWarlock, you're right. For me, the change of setting gave off a kinda "Indy"-vibe.

And might I say, Dear Lord, those insane monkeys gave me quite a scare...

Part 3 is up now!

Poor Sophia, methinks she have too much of out of this world stuff to deal with in a night. Farris on the other hand is quite becoming the ever-reliable-all-around-handyman-sidekick in protecting Albion against the forces of evil :)

Wish I have the translocation spell magic, it would make going to conventions such a breeze! :)

We should rename Sophia to "Zombie Bait". :p

Course, she does allways seem to be where the zombies are...

I am afraid she is going to fall into the "Doctor Who Companion Syndrome" that is, just be there to scream and pass out.

Lord Nelson seems a little worse off since the Battle of Trafalgar.

I am wondering if Nigel is worth keeping around. Setting demons free, snacking on would-be-girlfriends, not the best way to act around two very powerful Protectors.

Great stuff. Now we have to wait a week.

Knife to the eye! Err.. arrow in this case, but still.. GOON! Splattered Zombie Monkey guts and ferocious lions (here kitty, kitty.) Sophia.. again with the fainting? Maybe her blood sugar is low. haha. I still think she might be the Necromancer. And perhaps Zombie Nelson does as well. Cheers for the return of my favorite little wood sprite :heart This is some crazy, wacky fun. I love it!!!!!!!!

Oh now that was fun.

I am begining to like Nigel a bit more.

Father or no, I'd love to see Bodicea open up a bag of Celtic freak on Oblis.

Serena is still a riot (note to self work out stats for rolling pin damage...), I wonder if we will see any Farris/Serena shippers now?

It's too bad there is only one episode left. And those books seem a long way off.

It’s over. Oh man. I loved ‘Legacy’ for the spooky, creepy atmosphere. ‘Embers’ has a completely different tone and it totally kicks butt as well!! This last chapter had me on the edge of the chair shouting, “ACK!”, “Look out!”, “Spice to the eye! :D ”, and various other exclamations. Actually getting vocal with the computer screen.. Hee. ‘Embers’ is an exciting, fast paced adventure filled with a few surprises, much splattering gore, and many ROFLMAO moments. Amber, Chris, BBCi and the cast & crew all deserve a huge round of standing applause. Just.. WOW! I’m really looking forward to the first in the series of GOA novels and everything else til then. WOW!
