A set of Chance sides on Ebay.

Postby Incarnadine » Mon Jun 03, 2002 7:27 pm

There is a set of Chance sides up for bid on ebay with the proceeds going to charity, the Cat's Protection League .

If you wanted to own a piece of Chance but missed the original auctions then this is your chance (no pun intended) since I suspect most of the people who have the stuff will be taking it to their graves.

Jesus, h, maybe I should put mine up :P, nah.. I like mine. What sucks is the intial auctions to raise money for her movie didn't bring in such money for sides.. ..

I just checked eBay and the Chance sides. With 8 hours and 20 minutes left in the auction, there have been 38 bids and now the high bid is approximately $744.60. Holy Caca!! :grin

Wow!!! :bounce :bounce :bounce :bounce :bounce

this kind of gives me an idea

perhaps the kitten could get a few "donations" of stuff from the original auction/amber stuff and hold a "raise money for amber" auction of its own

with the money raised for "finishing Chance" given to Amber at the canadian con

That's a good idea, helpful information perhaps. I'd give a little money without even bidding on something even though I am currently unemployed ( :( ) .

This is AMBER we're talking about! :drool

I hope some Kittens are able to get some more butt shots of Amber when they see her in Toronto. Or any kinds of photos at all.:)

Janice

Edited to add: I just had a thought. Maybe the Kittens could donate money for "Amberkissage." I believe Hudson Leick was charging $1,000 a kiss at the Pasadena Xena convention this year to raise money for Kevin Smith's family after he was killed.(We could donate the money in Tara's name, who would want us to donate it to Amber for Chance.:grin .

Or, she could charge for "Amberbutt" photos.Or" Amerhugs"...Or "Amberautographs"...stuff like that. That way we would be doing something for Amber without necessarily contributing to BTVS or ME.

Or get her to autograph some Kitten tshirts.

Just random babbling thoughts. :)

EP, I believe actors work cons to build fan base and make some extra money. I can't quite picture amber selling kisses or hugs to make a buck for her movie

I was actually thinking more in line with raising money from the community before hand and presented as a "gift/thank you" at the con from the board to help amber finish her film

I believe Amber has to submit the film herself to any festival she would like to have consider her film.

There are some festivals that carry more weight/have a better track record for films getting picked up by a distributer than others.

I'd expect her to submit the film for consideration to festivals where she feels it has the best opp of getting a distributor.

When the fundraiser was finished Benson Entertainment made it clear they would not be accepting any more donations. They auctioned of items from Chance to raise some additional money so that the fans would get something in return. Should Amber Benson wish to raise more money for her movie then I am sure we shall be made aware.

I shudder to think what a signed script would make. Well as long as it is for charity.

Australian Film Festivals

Rainbow wren:-

Maybe some of the Australian film festivals may show Chance. I've been forced to attend almost everyday of the Melbourne Film Festivals.... saw plenty is indie movies from all over the world including US. Maybe the sponsors would get "Chance" ... If they do and I get olid proof that it's showing I'm gonna hop onto the next plane to Downunder. :grin

Any update on Sidewalks?

Postby Podko » Tue Jul 09, 2002 7:57 am

Did she mention anything about the movies future at Toronto?

"Chance" belongs on Sidewalks. Too many co-incedences for it not too. How rare is it that:

1.An actress becomes moderately successful, and makes her own movie.

2. Said actress is talented, warm, and smart and not worried about being a size 0.

3. Said actress is from Birmingham, AL and is not Courteney Cox

4. Actress may be in Birmingham during "Sidewalks" with a movie than fits the event perfectly.

Somebody make this happen. Isn't that VJ dude Alan Hunter active in Sidewalks?Someone here is bound to at least know someone who knows him. Now, y'all go be pro-active and I'll wait for September.

I'm nagging them (Sidewalk) a couple of times a month, but have heard nothing definite.

I think there are quite a few folks who are nagging.:)

I think I'll get down on my knees and beg next time.

Podko, are you in Alabama?

Yeah, someone in Toronto asked her about it and Kathleen posted this in the Amber @ Toronto Trek thread:

Quote:
oh and in regards to the Birmingham film festival... someone asked her and she is in negotiations to bring it down there... not confirmed yet but she is fingers crossed

We don't know much beyond that yet. When anyone gets any confirmation one way or another, believe me, the Kitten will be the first to know. And a thousand thanks to whoever asked her!

Chance Clips

Postby Rally » Sat Jul 27, 2002 10:53 pm

Patrice Lucien Cochet the cinematographer of Chance, has a demo reel on his web page, you click on the upper left hand image for the demo reel. It includes quite a few clips from Chance, set to music. The Chance clips are at the end of the reel.

Uh, beforewarned, it includes Spike nipples. ;) And it's not my fault this time, though the timing is suspect.
