Alyson Hannigan and Amber Benson

I'm very courious, they are really good friend in reality? Because, I have read, that they knew each other before the meeting on the set, but I don't remember where or when.....

I have never read some interviews where they were together or just saw some picture (except when they have the party for 100th episode) with Amber and Ely together, as I have seen for Amber with Nicholas Brendon, Antony....... and Ely with Sarah, ecc.......... someone knows some type of interview like that? And, in real life, who is friend with who? Best or good friend. I know for Aly with Emma Caufield.

And, another thing, I have read, from you, that Amber Benson is a really great person, she's amazing! I have read some interview with her and she must be realy lovely person, but, Ely, someone has never met her? Is she a good person, I mean, like Amber? Or is tottaly different?

Is there similitudes between Amber=Tara and Aly=Willow?

Well, without venturing into speculation about the actors' private lives (which we don't do around here), I can say the following:



I've never met Alyson, although she did wave at me when I saw her drive in the 2000 Toyota Pro Celebrity Race at Long Beach. I know someone who has met her and tells me that she's very nice and friendly. She definitely has a wilder personality than Willow has.



And yes, Aly and Amber knew each other before Amber got the role of Tara. They seem to be good friends - but then I think everyone in the Buffy cast is on pretty friendly terms these days.

I think they are all very close. They seem like they all love each other very much....just like Family. I remember watching an episode of Saturday Night Live a couple years ago when SMG was hosting and at the end she held up a sign that said "I miss you Aly". So, that was sooooo sweet. I've also heard that Aly and Emma shop together. And I think that they all get together every once and awhile and hang out. So, I think they are all really close friends.

I love hearing when actors that work together on a tv show are all really friends. Something about that just makes the show more fun to watch. Cuz you know that they aren't just pretending to get along and love each other. Ya know?

Hum well I don't think it is speculating too much to say they are friends, Amber Benson has said so herself in interviews. According to reports from location shoots and other shoots, they get along quite well between takes (right Bob? Dark Sheep? )



And last year when Amber Benson and Nicholas Brendon and some other Buffy people were in London for the Nocturnal convention, Amber told us Aly was in London as well, not at the con dammit, but another reliable source told us they had been known to hang out together in a big red bus of fun.



Suffice it to say they all get along, which is nice to know, eventhough their private lives are their own business obviously, I rather hear that than rumours actors of certain shows are at each others throats in private.

Regardless of their private lives are or what the characters are like I do find it nice to hear that the actors and actresses do like to be around each other.



I makes watching the show a little more enjoyable.



Not that I'll be watching Buffy mind you. Though I might go see "Scooby Doo" tonight. Hey, I may be an adult, but I am not that far removed from my boyhood that I can't enjoy fart jokes and pot humor.

I know what you mean about it being nice that actors get on with each other.

Okay...this kind of speculation makes me uncomfortable. Friends; sure. I have no problem with that. But I know what is being insinuated here and I think (please correct me if I'm wrong) that it's against the guidelines of this board. We're a Willow/Tara shippers board, not an Aly/Amber shippers board. That's just...well, it's tacky. So please, not here eh? Thank you.

Is it fun to work with Amber Benson?

She's wonderful. She's so sweet, and I've known her for a long time. I've never worked with her before, but I knew her through mutual people in the business. She's very down to earth.

Thanks for that quote Kajo, I remember mostly quotes from Amber about her friendship with Aly. They are both really wonderful people. I don't remember that Amber interview, I recognize that bit about the truckdriver's bladder, hee, but this is what really cracked me up, along with her former life as a criminal around the block driver:

I've read a lot of interviews, where Amber(Or Aly?) said that what was giving Willow/Tara's relation it's magic was that there was a great chemistry between the actors. I've also read that they met in a party(which? dunno!) and that Aly was really exited when amber got the role of Tara.



That's all I can say without speculating

Also, yeah I think it's in the second watcher's guide, Amber talks about how Aly went to bat for her when she auditioned that Aly went to Joss to tell him to hire Amber but they had already done so.

Yes in the Sirens interview called 'One of the nice ones' Amber says about getting the job on Buffy etc

"I just auditioned for it. I'd known Alyson before; we'd met through mutual friends. So I'd seen the show since she was on it...[later on]...So I went back in and later got a phone call telling me I'd gotten the part. That was funny too, because just as my agent called to tell me I'd gotten the part, Alyson called at the same time to give me the news. She'd heard from Joss that I'd gotten the part so that was really nice."



And in the same interview about the Willow and Tara relationship. And to show Amber has a sense of humor.

"We'll be kissing later, won't we? I wonder what Alexis will say about that." He's her real life boyfriend; he's on Angel. He was quite happy with it actually. (laughs) He keeps inviting me over for dinner. I don't know what that's all about. I'm just kidding.
