Amber Benson Filming in Pasadena,CA on 1/21???(update!)

hey all

i was checking the pasadena filming calender online today and on the 21 its says Production company:Amber Benson Production Title: Untitled. But it lists it as being a student production. It is to be filmed on January 21 at 1100 Ave 64 in Pasadena, CA. Im not quite sure if its OUR amber but it could be. i live in pasadena so ill go scout out the place where its being filmed maybe later 2day.

Ooh interesting let us know. I'll be glad if amber is filming anything. Behind 200% behind any Benson project, even if it is small, still it's experience. GO amber.

1100 Avenue 64 is the Episcopal Church of the Angels. It's where the church scenes in "Who Are You" were filmed back in Season 4. Many other shows have filmed there too, including The X-Files and Charmed.

I would think that IF Amber was doing a location shoot for a new project, she would indeed describe it as a student film to avoid some red tape and fees and liability insurance required of a professional film company.

As always the respect for privacy is paramount to all people involved in a production.

To my knowledge, we've never had a problem with Kittens intruding upon filming. Kittens respect the privacy of actors, and their work, immensely. That's one of the reasons why this board is so well respected in the online community and in real life, as well. I'm sure that your fears won't be a problem, ambercatsmom.

I'm an old pro at this location shoot thing. I know where to stand and what not to do.



The one thing is that the Pasadena filming calendar doesn't list time of day, so there's no telling when the shoot will be going on. I should have gone over there today and checked if there were any temporary No Parking signs out, but I didn't think of it until now.



It's also possible that they'll be inside the church, in which case we won't get to see anything. It's also possible that it's not our Amber. But we'll find out soon enough.

i just worked as a PA on a big film and we were pretty cool about onlookers (even with major stars on the shoots) as long as they stayed behind the designated areas, did not shout out and be all obnoxious or take photos of the talent or props. just be cool. perhaps chat a bit with the security or PA's on the set.



but then again if this is a student film i'm thinking they wont have much security or PA's. even so the rules remain: dont get too close, dont draw uneeded attention to yourself and no open displays of cameras (though this last one may be mute on this film).

We have followed the shooting of Chance as well from beginning to end and I don't recall any reports of any Kitten "pestering" Amber then or being disrespectful to anyone involved in that project. I don't think that is about to change, but thanks for dropping by and posting that friendly reminder.

Well, I made two passes by the church this morning - one at about 10:15 and the other around 11:30 - and there was no sign of a film crew. I'll check back around 2:00 this afternoon to see if there's anything to see. It's also possible that this shoot will happen tonight, in which case I doubt anyone could get close enough to see what was happening. Time will tell.

Hi again.



I went back at 3:00 and still no luck. I did get some nice photos of the place, though, which I can post if anyone wants to see them.



I'm not quite sure what to do at this point. Either the shoot's not happening, it was very short and I missed it, or it's on tonight. Has anyone else tried swinging by?

well anyway, amber was supposed to be filming on January 21. So i knew i was going to be nosey and go there on the day of the filming. But instead i went on the day before just to check it out. well, guess what, they were filming on the 20! not the 21! so the pasadena filming calander was wrong. it was total dumb luck that i happened to show up the day it was in fact filming. so i sat up in my car and kinda watched the whole thing unfold. they were filming a wedding scene at this church. From where i was, i couldnt make out the people who were in the crowd of people saying congrats to the newly married couple in this scene. so i waited a lil bit more...then one of the guys in a tux who was in the crowd walks up to his car where i was. i asked him if they were filming and he said yeah, i could come down and watch. so i descend the hill top i was on and stand off to the side, when who walks by me in overalls and a yellow shirt:Amber Benson. she was really busy because she was directing this wedding scene...running all over the place. well, she was somewhat upset because the crowd of people who were clapping for the bride and groom in the scene were too small...so she started asking her assistants and other crew to just get in there and make it look like there were more bodies...so i pipe up "Amber i can be a body!" so she sticks me in there with the people in their tuxes and nice dresses and me in my bondage pants and hooded sweatshirt...quite comical at the time. so we were all just supposed to clap. Here is how the scene went:

The bride and groom walked out of the church to the top of the stairs on the outside of the church. We in the crowd clapped and threw rice and were all happy...then amber had the crowd spilt in the middle to make way for the bride and groom to get into their black BMW...but the best man im guessing says something to the newlyweds and the bride slaps him and we all look surprised.(end scene).

so after several times at doing this, it got too dark and amber called it wraps. so i stayed behind and cleaned up and helped out. then i got to talk to ambers mom. she asked my why i hadnt come dressed for a wedding (even though the funny thing is i would have worn that to a wedding). I told her about the confusion and how i kinda just showed up. Her mom told me how Little Willow from the Essence of Amber page was supposed to let people know about the shoot so that there would be extras in the crowd dressed up nicely and whatnot...i told her nobody really knew about the shoot. on my way out amber gave me a big hug and i asked her if i was a good body and she said "you were great, you were the body of bodies." and i went home all happy-like

so i am so sorry for the delay in this...if you want to change it to the "Slap Derek" thread i can understand...
