Mine would be from All the Way. It was bad enough to watch W/T argue again, but that last scene was 100% unexpected. I just COULDN'T believe Willow would cast that forget spell on Tara.

I was shocked, dismayed, speechless, baffled, surprised, and astonished. The only other time the BTVS writers evoked such emotions was the surprise ending of, I Was Made To Love You.

Oh, how the plots twist and turn.

These are not spoilers kitties, the eps have aired.

Anyway, the moment for me that made me go

was the Flaming O Spell, that was the last episode I was truly unspoiled for. I am used to quite a bit on Dutch tellie, no censorship and all, but that caught me by total surprise, a total very pleasant surprise. And I remember quite clearly what I was thinking at the time. ;)

ok, mine's really silly compared to all y'alls...

the hug in *Real me*. i was dumbstruck. i was so dumbstruck i actually ended up taping angel over it somehow and since my mum tapes buffy too i called her crying begging her to send me a tape of that episode. she laughed for days about it.

the hug was so simple, so unnexpected so loving and touching. that made me go WOW!

and of course the kisses in *the body*...

I vote the flaming O spell because even though I was convinced something was going on between those girls from the time Willow came home from the Doll's Eye all nighter, that was the vindication that I was indeed right. Amazingly the anvil missed so many people's heads...

hmmm... let's see.

i did not expect the kiss in 'the body' that was a great surprise.

then when willow snapped at tara at the bronze and the forget spell in 'all the way'.
thatreally pissed me off, i couldn't believe willow would do such things.

I was unspoiled for Tabula Rasa, so the almost kiss in that left me speachless and of course wanting more.

I was so speechless at the bedroom scene in OMWF, and eventhough I was spoiled. After speechless for about 5 minutes later,I was like " Oh mi god ,oh mi god,OH MI GOD!!!This is frickin' totally crazy, they really just did that in-in-in this hour *sob* I finally get to see it,it about time and oh..so beautiful"

But what really left me jaw drop is when Tara said " I am,you know..." ( for this I was like " Hmm?what she's trying to say? ) Then Willow said " What?... " ( Yeah, what? ) THEN TARA SAID " YOURS " and I was blank and then " Oh..Hmm?oh..OHH!!!!Alright!!!ohh*nod*...she did say that, right? "
I was totally not prepare for it and it's just really shivered.I should know where the conversation was leading and I should know what she's trying to say...but that's where I am a dummy

I wold say that moment that I found most unexpected was the hug in New Moon Rising when Willow visits Tara in her room before class. The hug itself wasn't unexpected but the feeling behind it was. You could feel the love for Tara that Willow was feeling.

My happy one comes from "Once More With Feeling" when Willow and Tara are trying to get away to do you know. Tara has this wicked little grin and she stares intently at Willowpillows. I know it's a glance.

Then my sad moment comes in two parts. First in "Tough Love" when Tara is brain sucked and Willow can't get to Tara and when Willow goes off all dark majiky. Then in "Tabula Rasa" when Willow lies to Tara, falls off the wagon and does another forgetting spell. I could not believe she was playing with her loved one's mind again.

Well I am all about the bumping today , but I am still high on the last episode. It is like starting all over, every W/T moment seems so extra special now, I hope I will be spoiled again soon enough though.

All the W/T scenes from Older and Far Away were *great*, but my favourite may be Tara confronting Anya (I posted the quote in another thread). To see Tara being so fiercely protective of Willow just made me shudder. In a good way of course.

*sigh*

I guess I do have to wait a bit longer before I get to bump the favourite touches thread again.

Just when you think you're a goner when they did that thing?

Postby Fuzz WT » Wed Apr 03, 2002 10:06 am

Just curious cuz for me...I know I'm totally big time goner ( or in another word I thought I simply passed out ) when I saw...

Tara's bit

When saw her with that pant in Normal Again ( ok..so I have a thing for that )

and when she gives her come-to-bed look in OMWF ( oooooh ) My eyes were there...very close to the screen. :shy

Willow's bit

With the Flaming-O scene in NMR.Right when she arched her back and fall to the floor.Of crouse, who wouldn't.

and I know I'm sick that way but the scene when she's on that ceiling in Wrecked.I swear..I totally went there. :o Cuz oh Willow in that pant and the way she slighty shift her body and...ok..I'll stop there.

I think I should leave the W/T's bit out cuz every scenes they're together are pretty much got me there.Beside,we're talking about pure lust after them here. :evil

So,pick yours! At least one for each of them.I am so wanna know!!! ( and yes cuz I don't have a life :grin )

( will be back for more )

I wasn't expecting her to be so intense and serious.

i think it's gotta be the difference in the way they're treated as a couple by UPN.

we wait a whole season worth of episodes to get one kiss on the WB... and suddenly it's kisses aplenty...

i like that.

Being a new BtVS watcher and an extreme W/T fan now, i didnt even know about their relationship until I sat thru all 5 seasons in one fell swoop.. i had never watched the show, never been to this board or any other on W/T so had no idea what i was about to experience..I started watching cause i thought Willow is adorable..

I got hooked and knew there was something wonderful developing when i saw the doppelganger episode with Willow as the Vamp..One of the last scenes is when they are all in the library and Willow is talking about her other dimensional self and says the line about " blah blah blah and i think im gay"..She says something to Buffy like, you dont think...and Buffy says no..Angel looks over and almost lets the cat out of the bag..

I think that was a big "hmmmmmm" moment for me..The reruns finally got to the seasons that told about W/T's relationship and i was thrilled beyond belief..The line that tugged at my heartstrings was when Tara says "I am you know, yours"..I think that spoiled me cause thats a line that with 4 words says just how deep the love is that they have for one another..I knew i was watching something special..

Hands down, my jaw dropped with Faith said, "So Willow's not driving stick anymore."

Leave it to Faith to see text in the subtext. Tara so obviously did a full body check on Willow as she walked away. Anyone who had any doubts about W/T after this episode was just not paying attention.

When Tara was brainsucked in Tough Love I was aghast but I saw it coming.

But when Willow cast the forget spell on Tara the first time I literally yelled at the television, "No she didn't!!" My friends and I all agreed at that moment that Tara should leave her. Regardless of her love, that was worse than lying, cheating, or betraying. That was taking away a piece of Tara all because Willow didn't want to deal with the fight.

I used to be unspoiled, of course now I have seen the error or my ways. So the biggest moment for me was the flaming O, by Season 5 I was well on my way to Ho-doom...if that's a word.

Shockers

Postby Isolde » Wed Apr 03, 2002 12:08 pm

I would have to say the only time I was shocked/dismayed/in disbelief (because all the other surprising moments were rather pleasent, such as the one in "The Body") would be when Willow promised not to use any more magic for one week, then turns around and casts ANOTHER memory spell - RIGHT after all the trouble started with the first one! Argh! I think that's when I began to worry that things might not be going so well with the girls.

Darnit, I'm a blessed wannabe again. Darndarndarn...

The ultimate W/T scene for me has to be the 'I am you know'. Not just the last part but the whole lead up to it where Willow was explaining herself to Tara. Just captures me every time I see it.

Another favourite of mine and quite out of the blue was the scene where Willow had just found out that Faith is in Buffy's body and Both her and Tara arrives at Giles house.

Willow said something on the line of 'she is a very poweful' indicating Tara.

Tara who is stood beside her, replys 'no I am not' then lowers her head with her blond hair hidding her face.

'She is' Willow replys causing Tara to look up with a shy smile.

Such a lovely, supportive scene..love it!! I cant remember the actual line but I do remeber the feeling of it when I first saw it.

scene, though lost.

Postby Moridin » Wed Apr 03, 2002 7:44 pm

Well all the scenes that have been shown have been mentioned, but I think I read someplace that while in xanders ice truck in restless, the takes or some of them did indeed include a kiss, but it was cut. Of course that might have been just wistfull thinking. And after noticing, with reseeing, how much my enjoyment of an episode has dropped when spoiled compared to a similar episode when not, I've gone spoiler free (almost, heh) and I'm telling you, for someone with a 24/7 connection, and not enough work to fill up the day, the temptation to go read a spoiler is so big, quitting smoking or some other addiction like thing is a laughably easy matter in comparison.

I think for me it has to be in this season when we saw W&T have a prolonged scene together cuddled in bed. I remember in Family there was an interview where they said they filmed the scene in different ways to find the one the censors would allow to be shown. So basically we had Tara at the end of the bed sitting with Willow lying down, and only a second or two in the dark with W&T cuddled together going to sleep. However, this season we had W&T lying close together, stroking arms, having an intimate conversation that didn't last only one second. So to me this is the scene that surprised me most, although, I would of loved a kiss on the mouth during the scene.

Tara's "I am you know" scene. I could feel what she was feeling. I could think what she was thinking. The fear, the worry, the nervousness. 'Do I say it? Will she be okay with it? Will she want to run away?' It was nice to see that hesitation for a -split- second before she makes her decision and just lets loose with some of the sweetest words I've ever heard.

There are three

First in Hush when W/T grabbed hands and moved the poip machine I knew it meant something but who knew.

In The Body when they kissed, it was innocent I never knew girls could kiss without advertising weeks in advance and parental warnings.

When Tara moved out, I knew it was coming yet couldn't help being shocked.

surprising scenes

Postby Grace » Sat Apr 06, 2002 5:35 pm

I was also a little surprised (although happily) by the embrace in "Real Me" where Willow came up behind Tara and wrapped her arms around her. It was such a sweet, simple gesture, and such a natural thing for two people in love, but up until season 5 the affections between will/tara were much more subtle and generic. This said "true, deeply-on-love couple."

My most shocking moment, and I can't believe no one has mentioned this, although it's a Willow scene, not a Willow AND Tara scene, was the scene in the kitchen during "Flooded" between Willow and Giles when she talks about bringing Buffy back and Giles calls her a "stupid girl." I didn't think Giles would pat her on the back, but I was a little surprised by his outburst of extreme anger. I think he calls her a "rank amateur." I was even more surprised by Willow's 'threat'. "I am powerful, very powerful. And maybe it's not such a good idea to piss me off." or something to that affect. True, these were very understandable reactions, but Willow and Giles have never openly fought, and Willow has NEVER spoken like that to Giles. I never thought quiet Willow who idolized Giles would ever stand up to him like that. I think part of the point of this scene was to show that these two had kind of become equals (thus Willow taking Giles' spot in the opening credits). The student has clearly surpassed the teacher. And, shown us that our sweet, little Will has all grown up.
