Does anyone know where here movies can be downloaded from?
Like a torrent site ,a dc hub, a server ...
I'm having trouble finding Tripping Forward, Simple Things, Lovers, Liars and Lunatics, Angst, Race You to the Bottom.

Might I remind you that these are all indie films, some without a distributor. Especially Lovers, Liars, and Lunatics. Downloading that movie is taking money right out of Amber's pocket, and I think that pretty much sucks. I just purchased the film last week. It's only $30, that includes shipping, and you're supporting an artist's creative endeavor.

I'm experiencing the same problem in downloading these movies
and I'm really sorry, I can't buy them
because I'm Italian and whoever is selling them does not include Italy in the shipping.
So, I'm the last person who would be happy stealing money from Amber's pocket, yet I do want to see these movies because I love her (who does not, expecially there?)
How in the world am I going to do it?

Codex's differ and she still may be unable to play them. It's theproblem I have with HEX, which is coded for England and here I am in the US...

Dana: I'm not sure what you mean. DVDs don't have different codecs - they have regional restrictions. However, on Amazon the Hex season one DVD has US regional restrictions, which shouldn't be a problem for you.

If you are talking about video files you play on the computer, then yes, there can be different codecs. But these codecs aren't regional, and you should be able to install more codecs to play more videos.

If you're talking about the latter case, you can use a program called GSpot (yes, I know, laugh if you want) to find out what codec you need. I can't post links yet, but google "GSpot" and it's the first result.

Unfortunately, you can't play a UK DVD on a US DVD player. However, if your computer can play DVDs, download a program called Remote Selector. Run it in the background, while you play the DVD, and then it should work. Here's the website (take out the spaces when you type it in):

Ever wonder why companies place regional restrictions on their DVDs? I can't for the life of me figure out why. It's like saying, "We want money, but only from these particular people, who live in this particular country." Huh?

Anyway, I have no idea if Amber's movies have the same restrictions. I own two of them, "Chance" and "Lovers, Liars and Lunatics." They work on my player and my computer, but then I'm from the same country she is.

By the way, if you're an indy movie maker, I encourage you to make your DVDs region-free. It doesn't benefit you to limit your market, especially in a global economy.

Well, most DVDs are released under various regional restrictions, so if you buy it in the country you live in, it'll work ok. So, I don't think this really limits worldwide sales...but I agree that it doesn't seem to benefit the manufacturers.

Ludwina, I'm not sure whether you are trying to buy these off e-bay so you're referring to a person selling them there, but the official site Benson Entertainment uses to sell them is actually set up to deal with Italy (so long as you have paypal.) Plus what you pay goes straight to Amber.

Obviously I've not been all the way through the order process for Italy, but the indications are that it will work. If not then I'm sure an email to the contact address on that site will get you an answer. They will respond, and I'd bet they'd find a way to get it there.

I invested in a multi-region DVD player. It's been well worth it. I order DVDs from all over the world via the internet, especially the US. My copy of Race You To The Bottom came yesterday and I watched it last night. Really enjoyed it and tonight I'm going to watch it again with the commentary (including Amber). I love my DVD player!
