After the Midlands Expo, Amber will be appearing at several Forbidden Planet Stores the week of Sept 17-21, 2007. She will be selling her second independent feature film, "LOVERS, LIARS AND LUNATICS" so drop by, pick up a DVD and say hello!!

"Lovers, Liars and Lunatics" is a dark, screwball comedy about a neurotic suburban family that gets held hostage in their home by two inept burglars. Only as the night progresses do we realize that the Machiavellian machinations of the family are actually drawing the burglars further and further into their nefarious familial schemes, until reality blurs, and we no longer know who we should be rooting for: the family, or the burglars. ---Amber Benson

With Amber appearing in Cardiff I thought that might mean she'll be appearing in Torchwood but that's probably wishful thinking.

I'm not sure which FP I'll be going to yet, but I'll definitly be going to see her this week. My first time since Moonlight Rising.

I went along to the Forbidden Planet in Leeds last evening. There was a nice group of folks waiting in line to speak with Amber and have photos and copies of LLL signed. The staff at Forbidden Planet were very friendly. Amber was her usual self, upbeat, chatty, welcoming, open. There was a lovely daughter, mother and grandmother trio, which Amber welcomed with appreciation and delight. Before you knew it, Amber won over the grandma's heart! It was a sweet and positive encounter. I would guess there were about 30-40 people in front of me, about 10 behind me by the time I arrived at the table, which made for a much more relaxed atmosphere over all; no pressing deadlines, and Amber took her time with each person finding common ground and commonalities. I've seen Amber before in the UK and it's easy to see why there are so many of us who keep coming back.
