$750 package gets you two tickets and honestly, I'm not certain what else. Free parking?

I got a Paley membership a few weeks ago when it was announced that members would get a first crack at tickets. I then got my ticket yesterday for $35! Trust me, I nearly pulled my hair out trying to get that one. All the people wanting tickets literally crashed Ticket Web's system for over an hour. Anyhow, those tickets are already sold out.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe they saved a few for non-members and they will sell those on the 10th. Not sure what time they go on sale, though.

Seriously, trying to get that ticket yesterday felt like I was trying to save the world. A lot. I coulda used a Scooby meeting for support after I finished the whole process. But, yay! I have to say, I'm think I'm most excited about SMG being there. It's going to be ... nifty.

MiStrEsSdOrK; for what it's worth, the tickets sold out to the people whow ere already memebrs well ebfore the event. No tickets were left over for the public sale and the people who tried to join leading up to the event were torpedoed by a system glitch. So it's not your fault if you missed anything.

I asked them if they were going to stream it live (like they are doing for the Gossip Girl night) and unfortunately this was the response from David Bushman Curator of the Paley Center:

Unfortunately, we are NOT able to stream “Buffy” live, for numerous reasons, all of which are logisitical. Bummer, I know.

hi, everyone!

so i was at the "pushing daisies" event last night for paley fest and pat mitchell, the president & ceo of the paley center had the following to say:

1) all the events of the festival can be watched on their website

and

2) BUFFY WILL BE STREAMED LIVE ON THEIR WEBSITE SO YOU CAN WATCH IT!

i will be there and i will take pictures and send them to the mods for posting.

also, they showed a clip montage of all the shows that are happening this year at the fest - and buffy and the x-files got HUGE applause. nice!

anyway, that's the latest about the buffy event at the paley festival!

as far as i know (cause i am not some computer or internet expert at all) anyone should be able to watch it by going to the website. i don't see why being out of the state or country should affect that? again, i'm not a pro. i guess the only thing that might hinder viewing is if 1000's and 1000's hit the website - it might crash it. anyway, i don't know if that answers you or helps....

Oh because there are more and more videos not available on the internet from outside of the USA (like the memerbs of OurChart were given the possibility to watch the episode 501 of The L Word before everybody, but it worked only from within the USA, otherwise we had the script, and Battlestar Galactica made a preview of 8 minutes or so I believe, but not available from outside the USA)..

Here is a trick that might help you view programs from outside their country of origin. Find an anonymous isp in the country of origin and route your computer through it. It might spoof the website with the programs that you want to watch.
The blocking of these websites was due to copyright problems and the writers involved in the production of the material complaining about their stuff being viewed where they did not have a contract to protect their rights. Have you checked the sites that were blocked ? Since the writers strike and new contract the sites may have been unblocked.
