An excellent interview with some nice pix as well.

Question: given her "at temple" remark, I assume her religion of choice is Jewish? Can anyone confirm?

Of course you can't believe everything you read but this seems to say at least she had a Jewish upbringing.

Another wonderful interview with Amber. She seems like such an interesting person with whom it would just be fun to wax philosophic!

Another interview in which Amber shows herself to be nothing but utterly charming, captivating, warm, tender, outspoken, and yes, she is very witty.
She puts her finger on the central issue that only time and hard living can illuminate for each person; that being that it's hard to be different, to stand up for yourself and accept and embrace your outsider status among the cult of mediocrity which seeks to marginalize those of us who would question the status quo.
It has taken me forty years to be comfortable with who I am and Amber has been an inspiration to me in terms of believing in myself and the novel I have written.
I also wish I was in a position to judge who was the better kisser but I'd have to think Amber would be.
Personal bias on my part.

OK, true confessions: I have not followed Amber, her career, or personal life that closely the past few years.

So believe me when I tell you of my TOTAL SHOCK when I read (in the Outsmart interview) the following:

My boyfriend [Long Island-born Adam Busch, also of Buffy fame]

***
So you are dating Adam Busch, right?
Yes.

ADAM "W*rren" BUSCH???

GG Total gob-smacked shock. :shock Out

*Comforts GG*

There there, it's all right.

We've all been there, so we definitely know how you feel! The first time I heard about it, I was also like, WTF? but that is just an initial reaction to the fact that we've "known" these people as... other people, so... perfectly normal reaction! :p And after a while, you'll get over it, trust me. ;)

To get back on topic OMG this must really be the bestest interview of Amber EVER! I can totally hear her beautiful voice and quirkiness shine through!
The entire interview's just chock-full of happy Amber quoting... LMAO she makes toilet-humor sound appealing, I mean come on, you know any other women who can do that?!

I think I love her BECAUSE she's so real. Does that count for setting people up upon a pedestal?! (or soapbox, soapbox is good too) So non-judgmental, so loving, so.... AMBER!

I was just thinking (cuz I had myself a bit of an Ellen-revival these past few days), wouldn't it be one big love-fest if Amber would go on TEDS?!? Wouldn't it be even better if Amber ran for President?! Mark my words people, someday it WILL happen! :D
Rick: "Gus... Ssssh... so, is it actually Alan that's giving you this faith, after he has cocktails with Gus?"
Olivia: "Okay y'know what, I don't know what they're drinking- The point is..."

Amber had a sort of mixed upbringing between her Jewish father and Christian (don't know what kind) mother but perhaps as an adult she's gravitated towards one. (Which is, from my own viewpoint, better than alot of people who have similar mixed upbringings and end up as Nothingarians.) Maybe Adam has had an influence there; I don't know how religious he is but he identifies strongly with the culture and with Israel.

No expert on Judaic principles (and not to get too serious about a humorous part of the interview; this *is* my diea of a humroous response) but I don't think seal could be kosher. Since it's warm-blooded I'd guess the rules for red meat apply, not the rules for fish. So since it's 1- a game meat and therefore not slaughtered properly 2-a predator, and I don't hink the list fo kosher animals includes any predators.

Not surprised on which candidate they're workign for either. (l like him myself, which I haven't said aboptu a Democrat for decades.)

Yup. And from everything I have heard he is a pretty nice, down to Earth guy. Plus, from what I remember correctly, he thought the whole killing Tara thing was in his words "the stupidest thing he had ever heard."

My reaction of course was a chuckle since I'm an irony addict.

I clicked that link; I never knew Juliet was Jewish on both sides.

I thought calling describing seal meat as "seafoody brisket"w as priceless. And, not specifically toilet paper,b ut I also know the feeling of buying things and then just having them run out way too soon. Maybe there's an undiscovered species in her water closet. She's witty, no matter what s he thinks of herself.

Of course Amber would say that Aly is a better kisser, because never having had the opportunity to kiss herself she really can't be a fair judge...but in my opinion, as someone who has watched that kiss from Entropy over and over way too many times...I would say that at least from a visual standpoint, it always seemed to me that Amber was definitely the better kisser...more active and sensual and Tara is just so wonderfully hungry and kind of dominant in that scene :drool

What a great interview...and kind of inspiring too! Amber's personality and charm just shines through. I always love her sense of humour.....yeah, she even makes toilet humour classy! :)

And on the "best kisser" thing, I'd have to vote for Amber. "The Body" and "Entropy" kisses were just so sensitive, touchy-feely tactile and natural from Amber....and "Tara" definitely took the dominant role. Hmmm dominant Tara....dominant Amber.......interesting thoughts. ;)

Glad I wasn't the only person to NOT know this! And it helps explain my signature (at the bottom) after I met her in NY. It was definitely a shock.

Ahh... the things we say when we're dumbfounded...
Amber: "Hi I'm Amber... and this is (referring to Adam Busch)...

Me: "I know who he is... (scowling) He's the guy who killed your character."

Amber stifling a chuckle: "This is Adam."
