Morgan is a super bitch, but its good that they know she can't really hurt them, unless they let her. But they should still kick her ass, ruin her athletic career, or somehow give her what she deserves.

And awww! Super squeee of cuteness. Love their love.

You sneaky, sneaky woman! Here I hadn't even gotten to my inadequate fb from Sunday and you post on Wednesday. On second thought, go right ahead and post every day if you want! More for us!

I love Tara's conversation with her publicist. She seems pretty cool and it's nice that they both realize Tara's in love with Willow even if she's not ready to say it to Tara.

Morgan must be stupid. You know why I say that? Because she leaves this fake note but if the note was real and if Willow was really cheating on Tara and if Morgan didn't want Tara to find out (which she wouldn't) then she wouldn't leave the note on the door knowing that Tara was coming over! And she obviously knew she was coming over given that she references Willow calling when she leaves. But if she was really sleeping with Willow and really wanted to get laid tonight, pissing off Tara would be a stupid plan because at best it would delay Tara leaving and Willow calling Morgan and at worst it would force Willow to "choose" between them. She should have left the note on her car or in the kitchen (having it in her pocket or something).

Ok, I gotta go. I will try to get back with fb from the prior chapter at some point.

Ah! I missed the update. Loved it. So nice to see when I needed a pick me up today. Morgan is such a bitch. Tara needs to take care of it. I'm glad Tara's talking to her publisist about coming out though, not just for Willow but for herself. Can't wait for the next installment.
Anya: I don't like the sound of this. They don't sound very ex-demon compatible.
Tara: Are you sure they're English? I thought English people were, um, gentler than uh... normal people.

Shel,

Really enjoyed Tara’s talk with her publicist. Cyndi seems credible as a professional, but is also wise enough to read Tara’s need to move more freely and be true to her heart.

Then we came to a real test, the note from Morgan Le Freak and Tara's hurt that it might be real:
Tara simply held up the paper that was tightly clinched in her fist.

“What the frilly heck is that?” Willow asked, as she took the paper and scanned it over. She stepped aside so that Tara could enter and closed the door behind her.

“I f-found it on your d-door just n-now.”

Willow hated that the note made Tara stutter. She hadn’t stuttered like that in quite awhile around her and Willow seriously wanted to hurt the person that caused it.

“That little bitch! If she were anymore of a bitch she’d have puppies! I am so gonna kick her ass!” Willow exclaimed, now seething with anger herself as she read the message out loud.

Beautifully done! Transition from Tara’s hurt and anger to a note of humor with, “what the frilly heck is this?” to Willow’s anger and sensitivity to Tara’s hurt, expressed by her stutter.

Willow looked up from the note and noticed the hurt in Tara’s eyes, “Tara..” Willow whispered, reaching out to cup the blonde’s cheek. Her blue eyes shining with unshed tears. Tara was visibly tired and stressed, this note left by Morgan being the final straw.

Tara closed her eyes and leaned into her lover’s soft touch. She turned her head, taking Willow’s hand in hers and placed a kiss on Willow’s palm. With one simple touch from her lover, Tara felt the anxiety and anger begin to melt away.

The kiss on the palm, leaning into Willow’s soft touch – very beautiful and affecting. Also loved Tara’s musing on the nature of love, it’s surprising simplicity and comfort.

But for me the loveliest moment is your skillful use of those dear lines from the show. I liked hearing Willow say them; having her wear her heart on her sleeve in that unguarded instant of beauty between them.

Keep writing! :kgeek :kgeek :kgeek

Thanks so much for the extra update.
I really liked the way you handled the note. I get impatient with stories where the lovers are separated by the actions of a malicious third party, especially when a simple conversation would clear up the misunderstanding. I love angst, but not when it feels contrived. There’s plenty of tension in your story to keep me hooked, but it feels realistic. I like the way Tara talks to her publicist. She’s an adult and it’s the logical thing to do. Just as Willow’s phone call about Morgan was the obvious thing to do.

Thanks again.

I'm with Deb--you and your sneaky updating while I'm thinking up feedback. /sigh.

Okay,
Willow's escape: totally adorable and awesome. I was glad to hear that Willow didn't get pulled over for driving sans plates.

Not THAT kind of picture, geez Kel!” Not that I would mind.

Tee hee. Sexting.

Wow, Morgan is a total fucking cunt. Like, earlier she was just coming off as the bitchy ex, but this woman is seriously a)blind and b)short-sighted. The time to make evil moves on your ex is while she's rebounding, not while she's in 'fresh love' land. Dumb bitch.

I'm guessing that Willow would have some pull with the coaches, given her whole "Team USA" thing. If I were Morgan, I would NOT want to piss Willow off.

“Well, you’ll definitely be the biggest star at the top of their career to ever come out.”

You know, my mind went to Neil Patrick Harris, not Ellen, after this comment. He might not have been the girl next door, but he was Doogie Fucking Howser, But he had the same thing, where people actually in the industry knew.

The scene with Willow playing with the pets was so adorable.

The ending: and again, with the you flipping character roles. I liked.

Yay…DIBS!

Hey Wolfie! Good to see you again:) I’m glad that you liked it and that you’re sticking with me!! I update every Sunday and sometimes a bonus midweek!

Thanks for the feedback!

BuffyFan4ever:

What about Neil Patrick Harris on How I Met Your Mother? Or is that the exception that proves the rule?

Yes and no. I thought the same thing so I did some research. Here’s what Newsweek had to say on the subject “De Rossi and Harris do that on TV, but they also inhabit broad caricatures, not realistic characters like the ones in Up in the Air or even The Proposal.” The article was more about Sean Hayes and that his sexual orientation is part of his charm and how it’s “weird” seeing him play straight. It was an interesting article, PM me if you’d like the link.

Thanks for reading!!!

mmmh-Hot-Sauce:
Can't wait for Thanksgiving and the big outing of Tara to the Family/America.

Keep reading! Some other things have to happen first:)

Thanks for the feedback!!!

nightmask:
Imma cut morgan she's evil D:<

You might have to take a number!

I think it's great that Tara's taking the first step and deciding to come out to the public! It shows how much she really loves Willow and it gives her character a real sense of courage and belief in living their life how she should

Yeah and she pretty much knows that the writing is on the wall. They are better off doing it on their terms rather than have the press out them.

Thanks for the feedback!

SMGOVAN:
Please stop playing with my emotions. You took me from happy (bcuz you updated early ), to rage (bcuz of the note that biyatch left ) and then to love (bcuz of the sweetness that is Willow and Tara ). This update has been an emotional roller coaster ...I think I need a nap

Sorry, lol. * Insert evil grin here *

Thanks for the feedback!

Indigokane:
c-word is the only way to describe morgan. that is the coldest, lowest thing she could have done!!! coward.

She is pretty bad. One step form full blown stalker. I see a restraining order in her future, lol

Thanks for the feedback!

KnightlyLove:
Glad you continue to like it!!

Thanks for the feedback!

Laragh:
Okay, that's it Morgan, we're gonna fight. I will take you, bitch.

I’d buy a ticket to that fight!

Anyway, this was great, I love how sweet they are with each other and that Tara's starting the coming-out process!

Thanks!! They are pretty sweet, huh?

Thanks for the feedback!

zampsa19752001:
Thank goddess for Tara answering Willow's call and hearing about Bitch M's bitch-y attempt to "win back" Willow so the "love" note didn't hurt as much

Lucky for us Willow had the sense enough to call Tara and yes, thankfully she called her back. So important for them to be on the same page!

Thanks as always for the feedback!!!

wimpy0729:
Willow needs to hold onto that note, and any other type of proof that she can get against Psycho Morgan just in case she needs it, you know, for the restraining order. Man, the steam is still coming out of my ears.

I know, right? Are you reading my mind?

This is HUGE. I like how Tara lets her know that she won't let things like ratings control her life decisions.

It’s easy for her to say that NOW, while she’s under the comfy blanket of job security, but the question is…will she feel the same way when she is unemployed???

Now I'm curious whether Willow needs to talk to her coach about everything too, at least give her a heads up about everything.

Stop reading my mind!!! Oh, and see below! ;-)

The ending was so perfect. Willow could tell by Tara's look just what she was thinking, and she was thinking the same thing. Loved it!

Thanks!!! Hope I didn’t OD anyone on sweetness!!

Thanks for the feedback!!

Sierra:
Glad to hear it brightened your day!!! ;-)

Morgan is a super bitch, but its good that they know she can't really hurt them, unless they let her.

Tara knows first hand, being in the business that she’s in, that if you give people like Morgan the power, they can do some serious damage.

Don’t worry, she will eventually get what’s coming to her!

Thanks for the feedback!!!

I love Tara's conversation with her publicist.

I love writing a grown up take charge Tara:)

Morgan must be stupid.

…if she was really sleeping with Willow and really wanted to get laid tonight, pissing off Tara would be a stupid plan because at best it would delay Tara leaving and Willow calling Morgan and at worst it would force Willow to "choose" between them.

A little indignant over the situation are we? LOL Yes, Morgan is stupid. I think at this point it’s not about getting laid. It’s about, “If I can’t have Willow, then no one can” and getting her way. She’s the type of person that if, she did by some miracle she did manage to ‘get’ Willow, she would turn around and dump her because the challenge would no longer exist. Does that make any sense?? Oh and she’s a bitch.

Thanks for the feedback!

beautiful_love
Morgan is such a bitch. Tara needs to take care of it.

Take charge Tara to the rescue! Lol Tara is pissed, but trusts Willow enough to allow her to deal with the issue without too much interference. With her standing in the world, I’m sure she could swoop down on her ass fairly fast, but Willow that would seriously effect Willow’s ability to defend herself, so she’s standing back right now.

Thanks for the feedback!!!

Ariel
Really enjoyed Tara’s talk with her publicist. Cyndi seems credible as a professional, but is also wise enough to read Tara’s need to move more freely and be true to her heart.

Not to toot my own horn, but I enjoyed it as well. When I went back to re-read it, I could totally picture the entire scene playing out in her dressing room. I read enough about celebrity antics and it’s clear that ones that have it together are getting sound advice vs. the ones that are falling apart. ie. Charlie Sheen and his posse. * coughs Train Wreck coughs *

[qiote] The kiss on the palm, leaning into Willow’s soft touch – very beautiful and affecting. Also loved Tara’s musing on the nature of love, it’s surprising simplicity and comfort.[/quote]
I’ve done a lot of thinking about love on general while writing this fic and realized that it really is very easy to love someone so deeply. The complication comes in when you throw other people into the mix, albeit friends, family, co-workers, etc. Love in general with the two people alone…easy peasy!

But for me the loveliest moment is your skillful use of those dear lines from the show. I liked hearing Willow say them; having her wear her heart on her sleeve in that unguarded instant of beauty between them.

Thanks! I love to switch it up a little. I always thought that Willow was thinking those thoughts, but was just afraid to say it.

Thanks for the feedback!!

bouncer73
Hey!! I hope you are feeling better and this was just what the Dr ordered!! Thanks for sticking with me:)

Thanks so much for the extra update.

No problem!!

I really liked the way you handled the note. I get impatient with stories where the lovers are separated by the actions of a malicious third party, especially when a simple conversation would clear up the misunderstanding. I love angst, but not when it feels contrived.

I have to agree with you there. That kind of soap opera-ish stuff makes me crazy, because in real life…someone would have said something to clear it up. If there’s anything that I’ve learned about making a relationship work, is complete honesty and clearing up minor things before they blow up.

Thanks Clare…good to see you commenting again:)

BeMyDeputy
I'm with Deb--you and your sneaky updating while I'm thinking up feedback. /sigh.

WARNING: I might update mid week! How was that? Lol

Wow, Morgan is a total fucking cunt. Like, earlier she was just coming off as the bitchy ex, but this woman is seriously a)blind and b)short-sighted. The time to make evil moves on your ex is while she's rebounding, not while she's in 'fresh love' land. Dumb bitch.

She’s really not all that bright, is she? Sadly I’ve known several women like her before. She likes to play games and is in the “If I can’t have her, no one can” mode. There was no one to threaten her before, now she is panicking. I think she always thought that Willow would come back around to her at some point. She never expected for her to date outside ‘the circle.’

You know, my mind went to Neil Patrick Harris, not Ellen, after this comment. He might not have been the girl next door, but he was Doogie Fucking Howser, But he had the same thing, where people actually in the industry knew.

It was more of just a female-female thing. The thing about NPH that’s different is that he sort of fell off the radar and then had a resurgence with HIMYM. Tara has stayed steady in the spotlight.

I like flipping some of their dialog:) I always felt like there were many sweet things Willow wanted to say in the early days, but just never did. It felt to me like, because she was the talker with Oz, that she was a little gun shy with Tara. Who knows…that’s just my take.

Thanks for the feedback!

AUTHOR: Finey_McFine

RATING: PG13

DISCLAIMER: Willow, Tara and any other BtVS characters, as well as some random dialog, belong to Mutant Enemy.

SUMMARY: Totally AU, Willow and Tara Meet with not so surprising results! Set in LA with lots of W/T fluff and a little teeny tiny bit of angst, but no Hellmouthyness. Just good old regular day-to-day drama.

FEEDBACK: OK; Any glaring issues…please send me a PM!

AUTHOR’S NOTE: Happy Sunday Kittens! This chapter is fairly short and sort of a segue into the next. If I have time this week, I’ll attempt an update on Wednesday:)

Chapter 23: First Class Blues

“What do you mean you don’t have any seats together?” The redhead questioned.

“I am sorry ma’am, but the flight is full. There are only 2 seats available and they are middle row seats. I understand your concerns, but it is one of the busiest travel weeks of the year.”

“Is there any other options?” Willow was exasperated. She’d been online and on the phone for the better part of the morning trying to get Tara a ticket on the same flight and nothing was going her way.

“Well, you have several, actually,” The Customer Service Rep replied, “OK, you can change your flight completely to a red-eye and it will cost you the amount of the extra ticket plus $150 to change yours. Option #2 is to get one of the 2 seats available on your flight or option #3 is the seats together in first class or just purchase one first class seat.”

“How much is the red eye plus my ticket change?” Willow sighed; she really did not want to take the redeye.

“Let’s see…ok the total cost to you would be $616.”

“And the first class seats?” Dreading the answer, Willow scrunched her face awaiting the reply from the CSR.

“You would be paying for the one seat and upgrading your ticket so…the additional cost would be $2657. The cost of just one first class seat is $1557.”

“Uh, I’ll have to get back to you.”

“Miss, you really shouldn’t wait too long. Those seats will go fast.”

“I understand and thank you for your help,” hanging up the phone, Willow rested her fingers on her temples and began to rub in small circles.

This sucks.

She picked up the phone and dialed Tara’s number. Ugh! Voicemail.

“Hi Baby, it’s me…Willow, as if you didn’t know that already. Cuz, you know, who else calls you Baby. Well, I mean maybe there could be others that do, but I um, hope not. I hope it’s just me and no one else cuz you know, then it would just get weird and this message is weird enough already. So anyway, I’m babbling, as if you couldn’t tell that either. Sorry, I’m gonna stop talking now. Call me. Please? Bye.” Oh my God! That was ridiculous. What is my problem today?

By the time Tara was able to return the call, Willow was already in the locker room changing for practice and doing her best to avoid Morgan. Whose locker was, unfortunately, right next to hers. Suddenly the song Beat of My Heart started to blare from Willow’s phone. Willow practically leapt into her locker in an attempt to silence the phone before her teammates heard the personalized ring tone.

“Hello,” Willow answered out of breath as numerous chuckles broke out across the locker room. Shit, I’ll never hear the end of this!

“Hi Sweetie, it’s me. You know…Tara,” the blonde said, unable to suppress a giggle.

“Haha, very funny. Smart ass,” Willow replied, grinning widely.

“Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. It’s been a long day and it’s not even close to being over yet. Are you ok? You sounded a little stressed. Can you talk?”

“Um yeah, just let me…ok, I’m in the locker room. So, you know lot’s of ears around and two in particular that I don’t want listening in,” Willow said as she moved to a quieter spot, away from her teammates.

“Is everything ok? I mean, did she say anything to you today?”

“Nope, not a word. I turned the tables on her a little bit and acted like nothing at all was wrong. I think she expected me to pummel her or something,” Willow chuckled.

“Well, you have much more resolve than I do, because I don’t think I could have faced her and not have said or done something.”

“Trust me Tara, it’s all I can do not to punch her straight in the face, especially after what she said about you, but what good would it do? It would just get me kicked off the team and I’d lose my ride. Besides I only have seven months left and then I’m bitch free!”

“I guess you’re right,” Tara said apologetically.

“Tare, there’s something that I need to talk to you about, but it can wait until later when we both have more time and I’m out of here.”

It s-sounds s-serious.”

“No Baby, it’s just that we need to discuss travel stuff and I want to run a couple things by you, but it’s nothing that can’t wait until later. Ok?” After hearing Tara stutter, she wanted to reassure the blonde that everything was fine.

“Ok Will. So, you’ll call me later then?”

“Well, I was wondering if I could see you? Maybe come over after practice? That is if it’s ok, and if not then that’s perfectly fine too. Just tell me now and I will understand, no problem. Then-”

Tara giggled and interrupted Willow’s babble, “Willow! Baby, here is fine and you never have to ask. Ok?”

“Ok, thanks. I don’t know what’s gotten into me today. Maybe it’s because I haven’t seen you in a few days? I really need to see you. Uh sorry, that sounded a lot less desperate and clingy in my head.”

“I miss you too Will,” Tara sighed, “A lot, so hurry home, ok?”

Willow wasn’t sure if Tara realized what she’d said and she couldn’t stop the enormous smile that was now stretching from ear to ear. It reminded Willow of Tara’s previous slip with the girlfriend remark a few weeks prior.

“I’ll see you after practice.”

“I’ll be waiting with bells on.”

“Ohh cool! I can’t wait to see that!” Willow teased.

“Who’s the smart ass now?”

“Touche! I’ll see you tonight.”

“Bye sweetie.”

“Bye.” A small smile crossed Willow’s lips as she hung up the phone, having been careful to keep their conversation in hushed tones. She did not want Morgan to know anything.

**************************
After several hours of grueling practice, Willow was exhausted. She showered and decided to dress in a bathroom stall, instead of at her locker. She was no longer comfortable changing in front of Morgan. The brunette did her best to start conversation with Willow all afternoon, but Willow simply ignored her. Morgan desperately wanted to know what the fallout of the note had been, but could get nothing out of Willow. She thought that maybe it had blown away. Surely Willow would have been devastated when Tara left her after reading it and would have seen the light. But not only was Willow not upset, she seemed perfectly normal. It was as if nothing at all out of the ordinary had ever happened. It must have blown away; that’s got to be it. I need a plan B. Morgan thought as she gathered her gear to leave.

Before Willow left for the evening, she decided to pay a visit to the coach’s office. She knocked lightly on the door, carrying a red file folder under her arm and was relieved to see that the head coach was still there.

The middle-aged woman-sitting behind her desk peered over the top of her glasses, “Hi Willow, what can I do for you?”

“Hey coach, I was wondering if you have time to talk?”

“Sure, have a seat.”

“Thanks, but I think I need to stand,” Willow was rocking slightly and nervously wringing her hands, “It’s just that I think better on my feet and this is kinda serious.”

“Ok, just close the door then and I’m all ears.” The coach was curious. In nearly four years Willow had never once requested a sit down. Her interest was piqued.

Willow drew a deep breath and began to pace, “Ok so you know I’m Gay, right?”

“Yes Willow and that’s never been as issue.”

“No and I sincerely thank you for that, but now it might become a big issue; for me and the team.”

“Go on.”

Willow began to recount the last few weeks to the coach, trying not to babble too much. She explained that she was dating Tara Maclay and her concerns about coming out to the world and what it meant for the team. The unwanted attention from the Paparazzi and the circus like atmosphere she feared would arise. Willow was the team captain and she did not want to let them down. She finally paused and apprehensively glanced up at her coach.

“Wow, to say that I’m floored is an understatement,” the coach said, with a look of complete astonishment on her face, “I had no idea Tara Maclay was a lesbian.”

Willow was now at a loss for words and she began furiously rubbing her temples for the second time that day. All the worry, the fear, the stress of the situation and that’s her first reaction?

“Seriously? After everything I just told you?”

“Look Willow, it’s kind of a surprise. I mean, I’m a huge fan of Grant’s Park, I’ve never missed an episode and she’s gay? You’re sure?”

Of all the reactions Willow expected, this was not one of them, “Yes I’m sure! What kind of ridiculous question is that?” The coach’s eyes popped wide open and Willow squirmed. She’d never raised her voice to a coach in her life and she was now regretting it.

“Sorry, sorry…I just, yes Tara is a great actress, yes I’m her girlfriend and yes she is most definitely a lesbian.” With that said, Willow finally plopped down in the chair, deflated.

“Well, we might have to close practice and make sure you’re safe, but other than that, I don’t see a down side. Maybe attendance will pick up. Will Tara be attending any games?”

“She already has, the last two, but she was kinda in disguise. Why do you ask?” Willow said with a smirk, already knowing the answer.

“Oh, no reason in particular, just wondering…” the coaches words drifting off.

Uh huh, you so wanna meet her! I bet you want me to get you an autograph or something! Willow’s mind was whirring.

“So, when can we expect the craziness to start?”

“Hopefully not until after Thanksgiving break, but maybe before. There’s another thing I need to discuss and it involves Morgan. I’ve thought long and hard about this and I want to make an official complaint against her. Again, long story…” Willow then proceeded to fill the coach in on her issues with the first baseman. At the end of her account of Morgan’s behavior, she handed the coach a typed and signed complaint.

“Willow, these accusations are serious. Are you sure that you want to go through with this?”

“Yes, 110% sure,” Willow said confidently, “If anything more serious occurs, I want to make sure my butt is covered. She is unstable and I don’t trust her.”

“That actually sounds more detrimental to the team than your affair with Miss Maclay.”

Willow gritted her teeth at her use of the term affair. To Willow, an affair meant a temporary fling, playing around, and their relationship was much more than that. She decided to let it go, deciding that it wasn’t worth wasting her breath over. She probably didn’t mean it that way anyhow.

“Sooo, me changing lockers is ok and you’ll speak to Morgan?” Never in a million years would Willow have considered pulling a coach into anything personal, but the issues with Morgan were serious and borderline obsessive. Willow never thought that Morgan would react this way and it scared her, she wanted to make sure that there was a record of her complaint.

“Consider it done, on both accounts and thank you for coming to me. I won’t tell anyone, what we say in this office is confidential.”

“Thanks coach.” Willow smiled, relieved that she was getting some support.

DIBS? Yay, Dibs!!

I'm so in your story that I'm always surprised and disappointed when the end of the chapter comes. Surprised because "No, already?" and disappointed because "one week to wait now..." (I hope you'll have time for un update on Wednesday :) )

Like usually, great update!

I love Willow's babble on the phone, it made me laugh.

The talk between the girls was cute. I love when, in fics, they start dating, fall in love but didn't say the L word yet.

I mean, I’m a huge fan of Grant’s Park, I’ve never missed an episode and she’s gay? You’re sure?

:rofl

Yeah, we're sure!!

Hehe Willow's adorable leaving a message. Voice mails throw me too lol

I'm surprised Willow's surprised about the coach's reaction. Yea, you'd think she'd be worried about practice games etc...but not even sporting types are immune to being shocked at juicy gossip like Tara Maclay being a lesbian! :p

I'm glad an official complaint was lodged against Morgan. Looking forward to the next chapter!!

Oooh! The tension is palpable! I love how devious and lawyery Willow is in this situation. When Morgan tries something, she won't know what hit her!

Can't wait for next week. ;-)

great update!

but, um, now I'm begining to think the coach may turn into just as big of a problem as Morgan. :paranoid

Tara told Willow to hurry home! SO SWEET! I hope they remeber to trust in themselves and each other cause i forsee major drama from all sides in their immediate future.

can't wait for more! :bounce

Yay for great update-y goodness... I really loved Willow's babbly voicemail message... I really really loved Tara's line "Hurry back Home"... I'm glad that Willow made an official complaint about Bitch M... I'm kinda worried about the coach knowing that Tara is gay and dating Willow...

Willow not upset, she seemed perfectly normal. It was as if nothing at all out of the ordinary had ever happened. It must have blown away; that’s got to be it. I need a plan B.
Morgan can impliment plans A through Z, 1 through 894, and she still won't come between W+T. I could be paranoid, but I feel like the coach will bring badness with her. But much gladness that Willow is taking a more definate, legal stand against Morgan.

Safe to say that Morgan...Not my fave.

Whoever made that t-shirt that said stalkers are awesome is a LIAR!!

I think it was cool that Willow went to her coach and her coach was all cool with her 'affair'-ing with Tara. But I've had some bad luck with coaches in the past, so she kinda makes me a little nervous...I hope she doesn't do anything dumb.

I REALLY hope Morgan gets some sort of injury and just....goes AWAY. Can you do that, make her melt into the ether?? :pray

Enjoyed it, and can't wait for the next one!!

Great update. I'm wondering if once Willow explains what is going on with the flight plans Tara might offer to just pay for the tickets. I'm glad that Willow talked to her coach about her relationship with Tara and the craziness that is sure to come. I'm hoping Morgan stops with her craziness once she realizes she has a formal complaint against her.

Well, I'm not at all surprised about the cost of the tickets or the difficulty of finding tickets together. Actually, I think i called that one a few weeks ago as far as the cost and all that. We'll see what Tara suggests that doesn't totally make Willow feel like a kept woman. Honestly, it seems to me that Tara probably finds it easier to travel by charter flight if not just first class just to avoid the crowds and all that. I mean, it's not like she wants to sit jammed in some middle seat or something. Their phone conversation is totally cute. I think Willow's taking the exact right approach with Morgan as far as pretending she knows nothing about the note. While I'm not thrilled about the pov switching over to give us omniscience of Morgan's thought process (as a writer) about the note, it is quite amusing (as a reader) to note her being so confused about it. Ha ha.

I think Willow's doing 2 very smart things here with talking to her coach. 1 get out in front of the coming out/dating one of the most famous women in the world and 2. make a complaint about Morgan and move to another locker. I'm glad that the coach took her seriously. Also, I'm so impressed that when the coach said:
“I mean, I’m a huge fan of Grant’s Park, I’ve never missed an episode and she’s gay? You’re sure?”
Willow gave a reasonable answer as opposed to saying something like "well, she sure does seem to enjoy (or be good at) eating pussy" or something similarly crude. I mean, who asks someone if their girlfriend is really gay unless they just think the person speaking is delusional? You know? Like Willow gave her some run down of they've been dating 3 weeks or whatever and the coach asks if she's sure? Weird. Although I guess that America's Sweetheart thing is really working.

Ok, I love the flow of this update and I'm thrilled to read it and fb so soon. Just so you know, I'll have no complaints if you decide to update Wednesday... (hint, hint).

Good deeds and intentions never go un-punished...This applies to both Willow and Tara....Tara is preparing to out herself to the world in an effort to prevent a situation where Willows made to feel like she's Tara's dirty little secret. Who's love can only be expressed behind closed doors. I think her actions are noble. But, you gotta wonder how she's gonna feel when her Coke and reebok endorsement deals start to go away. Being Tara, I doubt she will give a hot hell about the money or the fame. But, she will care about how it all wil affect Willow. Paps hounding her and her family day and night... it's gonna be brutal

I have very mixed emotions about Willow's meeting with her coach. It's great she made the complaint about Morgan and that she told her that she was dating someone in showbiz....I just wish she would not have said 'who'. She should have respected Tara's privacy and her right to come out on her own terms. By the way the coach referred to Willow and Tara's relationship as an 'affair', I could see that protecting Willow was not her highest priority. Bet she thinks she could use this little tid bit of info to boost attendance :happy

Ps... I fucking hate that punk ass bitch Morgan..

Shel,

Great update(s)! I am soo not a violent person - I've never been in a fight in my life - but I just want to take a stick to Morgan! That fact that you're coming up with these things makes me never wanna cross you. ;)

The plane ticket during the holidays nightmare, ugh, don't get me started....

You know, I was gonna give you a hard time over Hilary Duff, then I listened to it, and it was cute and kinda fit them. Then I see the stuff you can cook up for revenge tactics and am grateful we aren't in the same state, lol. But still Hilary Duff? lol

that was really smart of Willow to talk to the coach about morgan, now maybe she'll back of a bit, but I kind of doubt it... I hope morgan's plan b isn't to call the paparazzi :/ So much suspense :] I'm loving it

I'm glad Willow did the sensible thing as far as Morgan goes but something tells me you'ce got something up your sleeve. Looking forward to the next update.

I too was sad to come to the end of the update. You warned us that this would be a short segue, but it didn't sink in I guess, I was too eager to dig in. I am a bit nervous about Willow telling her coach everything, I know she needed to warn her and to report Megan, but I hope that the evil little skag wasn't listening at the door. Well, tomorrow's Wednesday, so I'll keep my fingers crossed that you find time to update! :D

I feel bad because I don't always leave feedback, but I really should because I love this story so much!!! It's so sweet, funny, the girls are perfect!!!

It'll be huge for Tara once she'll make her relationship with Willow public...hopefully everything will go well! I also hope that stupid bitch that is Morgan gets kicked out of the team and disappear forever...

I can't wait for the next update!!!

Kinda gonna repeat a bit of what Gaga01 said, I've been a terrilbe, terrible regular feedbacker, Shel. And I really have no excuse (apart from my computer being infected with viruses over the last couple of weeks, bleh).

I've been following every chapter with rapt attention and I've really gotta congratulate you for pretty much making me feel the whole range of human emotions throughout this story so far.

I've loved the last few updates in particular and seeing how they've really started to form a bond. Not that long ago I think we would have seen a much different outcome with the whole 'Morgan's note' thing.

And while I'm there, I know you've probably heard it enough by now, but Morgan - what a BITCA! God, you've done a wonderful job of making me absoluted detest her.

I'm glad Willow and Tara have both had someone to talk to about the implications of their coming out, although i'm with the others who have said they're a little wary of Willow's coach. In a perfect world they'd be able to keep their secret until Thanksgiving, come out to the world, and go happily along with their lives, but we all know thats not gonna happen. And why should it. Where's the fun in that!

So, I'm eagerly awaiting so see how you have this play out, and as I just said to Ariel, I'm gonna make a much greater effort to give regular feedback!!

Can't wait for the next chapter,

Laura.

Happy.

I really loved this:
[S]he’s gay? You’re sure?”

You know, I've had multiple, when told I'm bi, say something along the lines of "Really? You're not kidding, you're actually bi?"

I've never understood it. Seriously, wtf? What do they expect? "Naw, I'm just messing with ya--I only enjoy fucking (wo)men?"

Damn, am I ever late, but better late than never I guess.

Well, the plane ticket thing is a real bitch, isn't it? I'm glad Willow's going to talk to Tara. Again, the money thing might be awkward, but maybe Tara can come up with a solution. I'm sure she's traveled a lot over the years, and she's probably used to dealing with this stuff. I don't think it's even that long of a plane ride is it?. Even though it would be nice, it's not imperative that they sit together. That's just my humble opinion, but I just have to wait and see what happens I guess. Hopefully no more unnecessary drama.

I love the way Willow is handling the Morgan situation. Ignoring her is probably the best thing and Willow can't afford to do anything stupid. Although no matter what Willow does, Morgan is still going to be pissed and like Willow said, she's unstable, so there's no telling what she might come up with for Plan B. My plan B is spelled B-A-T right to Morgan's thick skull.

I'm not reading your mind. LOL But the logical thing would be to talk to her coach, and making the formal complaint, having things in writing is an excellent idea. Definitely need to cover your ass in this type of situation.

I'm not so worried about her coach's reaction, etc. Hopefully she's just seeing it as a possible publicity thing for the team. Tara seems to be gracious as far as her fans are concerned, and if it's handled well, it may turn out okay. I can dream, right?

Update coming soon, I hope!
