Chapter Forty-six



Giles handed Willow and Tara a small, neatly wrapped box…all eyes were fixed on the couple…wondering what the Watcher had in store for them.



“Oooh! It’s small…maybe it’s something magical…like the pendant of Ethanoseth or maybe…” Anya babbled, exitedly.



“No…nothing magical, I’m afraid…sorry to disappoint.” Giles said.



Together, the couple opened the box. Inside was a small green velvet pouch. Tara reached into the pouch, she felt something in the bottom…pulling it out, they saw that it was a key.



“I suppose you’re all wondering what this key is to…” Giles began. “Well…I just thought…now that you’re officially married and all…that you might, well…like a place of your own…other than a dorm room, that is…especially when you decide to start your family…so I’ve decided to convert the space above the Magic Box into an apartment for myself…and the house is yours…if you’d like.”



Willow and Tara stood in silent amazement at the thought of what Giles had just offered them.



Finally, Tara broke the silence “Mr. Giles…that is so incredibly nice of you…b-but we can’t accept such a big gift…right Willow?” She said, looking to her love.



Tara and I…in our own house…no worries about anyone barging in…nobody hearing us…we could walk around naked all day and it wouldn’t matter…mmmm…naked Tara…



Tara elbowed Willow…snapping her out of her daze…



“What? Oh…yeah…Giles…much too big of a gift…there’s no way we could accept it…” Willow said, begrudgingly.



“Willow, honestly…I’ve never seen you refuse a present before…and I would consider it an insult if you refuse my gift…I should think that I’ve taught you better than that…both of you…I simply won’t take no for an answer.”



Willow turned to Tara “Honey…do you see the way he’s looking at me? He’s giving me that look!”



“…and what look would that be?”



Baby…come on…go with me on this one! Our own place…lots of privacy…we can do whatever we want…whenever we want…wherever we want…



“You know…it’s that…” Willow started…continuing on lowering her voice and trying her best to imitate the Watcher’s proper English accent “…Willow…I’m going to be very disappointed in you if you don’t do exactly what I am expecting of you…look!”



Willow wrinkled her brow, sticking out her bottom lip and putting on her best ‘sad puppy-dog look’…looking at Tara with those big Emerald green eyes…”Please?”



That is SO not fair! You know I can’t refuse you anything when you do that…I will admit…it would really be nice…you, me…our own house…



Tara smiled “Okay…how can I refuse you when you look at me like that?”



“Yes! Thank you!” Willow threw her arms around Tara first…then turned to the Watcher, throwing her arms around his neck “…thank you, thank you, thank you!!!”



The prim and proper Englishman wrapped his arms around the petite young woman…spinning her around as if she were his little girl…but then again, she was, wasn’t she?



“You’re welcome, both of you…I’m so happy for you…”



“Well, it’s all settled then…you guys go off to Monterey for the week…and when you come back, we’ll get you all packed up and move you over to your new digs!” Buffy said.



“Speaking of honeymoon…we haven’t even packed anything…I mean…we weren’t expecting to go anywhere and all…and now…” Willow started…



“That’s precisely why you’re going to take the Xander-mobile and your bride – go back and pack your stuff…and make for Monterey…now!” Xander said, with a smile, handing Willow the keys.



Later…



Willow’s mouth was running a mile-a-minute as she grabbed things out of her drawers, stuffing them haphazardly into the duffle bag sitting on her bed…just as she would stuff another, Tara would dutifully take it out and fold it, neatly replacing it inside the bag…



“I can’t believe all of this…this day! It was like the best day of my life! First…I get to marry you…the most beautiful…most loving…most Tara-licious woman on the face of the Earth…and then…we get an all-expenses paid trip to a private beach house…with my honey, of course…THEN, we find out that we’re getting our own house! You…me…married…our own house…together…bills…no job…school…how are we going to pay for all of this?!?!?” That was it…Willow was in full panic-babble…Tara took her by the hands, pulling her down onto the bed next to her.



“Sweetheart…don’t panic…we’ll work it out…I’ve got a little nest egg set aside…something that Mom left me… that will hold us until we get through school…plus, we have our scholarships…it won’t be easy…not like we’ll be living the lap of luxury…but we’ll get by…okay?”



Willow’s heart slowed to a normal rate. Tara always had a way of doing that…calming her down…even when she was really upset…



“Honey…I really hate to have you do that, though…I love you for it…but that’s yours…”



“Will…we’re married…everything that I have…everything that I am…is ours…”



“I know…and I feel the same way about my stuff…but I just kinda wanted to…well…I want to be the ‘provider’…you know? I want to give you everything…” Willow said, sheepishly…



Tara looked deeply into Willow’s eyes…gently caressing her face "Baby…you give me everything…you are my everything…I don’t care about the money…I just care about you and me and our life together…as long as I have that, nothing else matters…so no need to get all large with the butch, okay? We’ll work everything out…"



”You really are amazing…you know that? …and your mine!” Willow grinned from ear-to-ear - worthy of a Chesire Cat.



Tara leaned in, giving Willow a quick peck on the lips "…I’m all yours, my Willow…now…how about we get this show on the road…before I decide to make with the honeymoon right here…” she said, smirking seductively.



“Vixen…” Willow said with a grin, as she stood up, grabbing their duffle bags and pulling Tara out the door…

What a great update !... romantic, funny, sweet, and loaded with all the "good emotions". I think this is my fav chapter. The interaction between W/T over the house was so charming and delightful. [Tara looking for Willow to support her, their thoughts, Willow's pout, ahhhh it was too cute for words! ] I was LOL during the packing scene when Tara took out Willow's things and folded them for her. You really have these characters mastered...everything you have them do seems so natural...just what I would expect. How kind and generous of Giles...I love them having a house too. It paves the way for you to write so many more chapters! {Hint } Then there is the conversation in which they both share their thoughts on what marriage is...both wanting to look out for the other...my heart melted.

WOW,a Honeymoon, maybe some fun on the way,...can life get any better? I just find this entire story so uplifting. It is so refreshing to have a story where all the characters treat each other with such love and kindness! You are terrific and I thank you again for all the joy, laughter, and contentment this fic has given me...and there is more to come! YAY !

Chapter Forty-seven



Willow and Tara had decided to take Highway 1 up the coastline to take in the scenery. Unfortunately, several others had the same idea...and the two newlyweds had been stuck in a jam for about 45 minutes and Willow was starting to get antsy...





HONK! HONK! HONK!



Willow laid on the horn, rolling down the window and yelling “Come on! Let’s move it! We’re trying to commence with a honeymoon here!!!”



“Will...honey...”



“Well I’m serious! I’ve got this seriously hot mama-yama sitting next to me...with my ring on her finger...and she’s lookin’ all fine...and she’s all mine...and all I want to do is get you to that beach house and take you out and...”



Tara interrupted “Honey...we’re moving...”



“Oh...oh! Well...it’s about time...I almost had to get all witchy on their butts!” she said, stepping on the accelerator.



One hour later, Willow pulled into the driveway of a privately gated beach house...



“Holy moly! Would you look at this place?”



The house stood on approximately ten acres of prime Pacific Ocean waterfront. It was a classic Spanish-style home with graceful arches and a terra cotta tiled roof. The area surrounding the house was adorned with tall palm trees and palmettos.



“Oh my god...are you sure we’re in the right place?”



“Yep...this is it...” Willow said, reaching down to pick up the spare key from it’s secret hiding place... she slid the key into the lock, opening the heavy oak door. The door opened into a large entryway. Willow and Tara walked in, kicking off their shoes at the door...not wanting to track anything into the rest of the house...



At the end of the entryway was a large sunk-in living room. The one side of which was all sliding glass doors facing the ocean leading to a private veranda...on another side, there was a huge stone fireplace. The room had creme colored carpeting with large overstuffed furniture in a crimson and gold...In front of the fireplace lay a silver chiller with a bottle of champagne and two crystal long-stemmed flutes, as well as a dozen crimson roses and an envelope marked “To the New Brides”.



Tara bent over, picking up the card and opening it...



Dear Willow and Tara:



Congratulations on your wedding! I was so happy for you when Xander told me! I hope you enjoy the beach house...everything is stocked up for you. No one should bother you for the entire week...so have a wonderfully happy honeymoon!

p.s. The keys to the VW convertible are on the cupboard in the kitchen...feel free to use it while you’re here.



“That is so nice! I can’t believe he did all of this for us! I mean...I’ve known Xander for a long time and all...and his Uncle was always really nice to me...but WOW!”



“It was really nice of him...we have to make sure we send him a thank you...”



Willow nodded.



They decided to look around the rest of the house...there were three regular sized bedrooms and one master bedroom with a king-sized bed and an in-room jacuzzi.



“Hmmm...think we’ll take this one.” Willow said with a grin.



“Definitely...but I wouldn’t want the other rooms to feel neglected...so maybe we could spend some quality time in them, too...” Tara suggested seductively.



“My wife is a total vixen!”



“Mmmm...your wife...your vixen...” Tara purred, wrapping her arms around Willow’s neck. “Now...why don’t you go get a fire going in the fireplace...and I’ll meet you out there in a few minutes, okay?”



“Why don’t we go build the fire together...and I’m not just talking about the fireplace-type firey stuff...” Willow said...wiggling her eyebrows.



“You’re so bad...I’ll be right out, honey...there’s just something I want to do first...it will only take me a few minutes...”



Willow got a pouty look on her face “Okay...but if you’re not out here in five minutes...I’m coming after you!” she said, giving Tara a quick kiss before turning around and heading to the door.



“Five minutes...”

Chapter Forty-eight



Five minutes seemed like an eternity to the ever-impatient Willow…she had started a fire in the fireplace, and had spread out the pillows on the floor in front of the hearth. She was just about to open the bottle of Dom Peringnon when Tara emerged from the hallway…



Willow’s mouth hung open as she saw the vision of love heading toward her.



POP!



The cork flew out of the bottle of champagne as Willow held it in her hands.



“I take it you like?” Tara giggled.



“I…you…oh…yeah…I like!” For once, the red-head was at a loss for words…



Tara was absolutely breathtaking. She wore a long ivory colored silk nightgown with spaghetti straps that clung to each and every curve of the beautiful blonde’s body. Her golden tresses, which had been up earlier in the day, now fell down easily about her shoulders…



“Tara…you look absolutely stunning…you’re the most beautiful woman in the entire world…and you’re mine…”



“Yes, Willow…all yours…” She said, sliding her arms around Willow’s neck, pressing her body against hers…



“But when did you…I mean…we’ve been so busy…”



Tara stopped her mid-babble, gently grazing her lips with her own.



“I bought this shortly after you and I met…specifically for our wedding night…”



“But how did you…”



Tara kissed her again…



“I just knew…I knew from the moment that I met you that I was going to spend the rest of my life loving you…”



Willow had felt it too…that night they cast their first spell together against the Gentlemen…but she thought she was just being silly…



“You know…I never believed in love-at-first-sight…until I met you…” Willow said, tears welling up her Emerald eyes. “…and now, I fall in love with you again every time I look into your eyes.”



“Baby…” Tara wiped the tears from her cheeks.



“You’re everything to me, Tara…my everything.”



Tara’s lips parted briefly…uttering but two words “…show me.” She said, breathlessly.



Willow sat the bottle down on the mantle…wrapping her arms around Tara…one hand on her back, the other on her neck, pulling her into her waiting lips…



Tara pulled briefly away…sitting down amongst the pillows, she looked up to Willow, reaching out and taking her small hand in hers, guiding her down next to her in the soft, warm nest.



Willow laid next to her, leaning on her elbow, as the other hand traced the soft, silky curves of Tara’s body…exploring every inch of flesh as though it was their first time together.



The passion was flaring deep within Tara’s core…igniting an inferno that only Willow’s love could quell…



Sensing her need…Willow slid her hand underneath the soft silk of the nightgown…working it up to Tara’s waist, and then her shoulders, finally tossing it aside, exposing the even silkier smooth skin beneath…



Tara, in turn, pulled Willow’s shirt over her head, tossing it onto the couch, to be joined shortly by her jeans…



Not a word was said, as the two women let their bodies speak for them…uniting together in a lyrical melody fit for the Goddess...
