I'm really glad is going to be just fine...but I wonder how she'll take being Buffy's sister...I mean, I'm sure she'll have no problem with Buffy being her sister, but it must be a shock, right?

Haven't posted in a while, but I always check on this fic as well as Timeless .

Love them both - More one than the other on somedays...depends how well you're treating our ladies.



Well I'm steamed that the honeymoon was interrupted and how! They better get whoever did this!



I'm definitely happy that Will's okay.





And just about floored about Willow and Buffy being sisters.



All will be resolved soon though We need to get back to the Willow and Tara goodness.

“Buffy...there’s nothing that we can do to change the past...you’re here for her now...and she has Tara...and Xander, Anya...myself...we’re all here for her...”



“But I’m her sister...I should have been there for her...”



“You are now...that’s all that counts.”



Buffy stood up, a look of resolve and utter determination on her face.



“Yes...I am. We need to find whatever did this to her Giles...I have to stop it...now.”



Chapter Fifty-nine



“...and you will, Buffy. I have no doubt of that...but right now, I think there’s a certain red-haired witch that would very much like for her best fr...her sister...to be by her side.”



Buffy nodded, drying her tears.



“Come on...let’s go...” He said, putting his arm around her shoulder, guiding her into the hallway.



When they reached the door of the ICU room, Xander and Anya were still inside.



Giles cleared his throat loud enough for them to hear and turn to the door...



“Hey...look who’s here...listen Wills...we’ll be right outside...so don’t go running off on us or anything, k?” Xander said, placing a kiss on his friend’s forehead.



“I’ll...try not to...” Willow said with a smile...her voice barely audible.



Xander and Anya left the room as Giles and Buffy entered. Giles walked over to the bed, taking Willow’s small hand in his, he smiled.



“You gave me...us...quite a scare...” he said, his eyes starting to cloud over with tears.



“Always did...like to get a rise out of you...you know...” Willow said, wincing as she accidentally moved a muscle in her abdomen, sending a jolt through the new incision.



“Well...you didn’t need to go to this extreme. I’m so relieved that you’re alright...you mean the world to me...all of you...you know that, don’t you?” He said, in a fatherly tone.



“I know...” Willow said, smiling. Giles had been more of a father to her than her own ever had. He had spent hours upon hours patiently working with her on developing her craft...had been there throughout high school when she had won prizes at science fairs...or when she simply needed someone to console her. He was every bit her father.

“You need to get some rest...Xander, Anya, and I are going to go try to find out who or what exactly did this to you...”



“Buffy?” she said, weakly.



“I’m gonna be right here with you and Tara, Wills...all night. So you just rest, okay? You’re safe...Tara’s safe...I’ll be right outside the door.”



“Promise?” Willow said, looking to her sister with pleading eyes.



“I promise, Wills. I’ll always protect you...and our family.” Buffy said looking to Tara. She had never felt more strongly about anything in her life.



Tara nodded, knowing that the Slayer meant every word.



“Alright then...I will see you later...get some rest.” Giles said, kissing the back of Willow’s hand, he walked out of the room with Buffy at his side.



Willow turned to Tara, who was sitting at her bedside, holding her hand.



“Ok...are you gonna tell me what’s going on now?”



“Baby...you need to rest. We can talk about it in the morning.” Tara said, lovingly brushing a stray hair out of the red-head’s face.



“I’m...fine.” Willow said, wincing as she tried to sit up to prove her point.



Tara winced right along with her...feeling her pain.



“Yes...I can see that...now please...just try to relax and get some sleep, baby...please?”



The red-head was nothing if not determined...even in her weakened state.



Willow’s bottom lip protruded as she looked at Tara with a pout...



“But I can’t sleep...I need you here with me.”



“I’m right here, Will...”



“No...I need you here...in my arms...” Willow said, motioning to her bed.



Tara smiled “I don’t think that they would appreciate me getting into your bed with you...it’s kind of small...and this is a hospital, Will!”



“Please?” she said, with pleading puppy-dog eyes. “Come on...we slept in your single bed in the dorm lots of times...”



She was right...they had.



“Okay...but if I get yelled at...it’s all your fault.” Tara said, lowering the railing on the bed and gently sliding in next to her wife.



“I’ll accept complete responsibility...” Willow said as Tara snuggled close to her...



"I love you, Willow."



"I love you...my Tara...always..." she said, drifting off to sleep.



Buffy looked in, seeing the look of pure love and contentment on Willow and Tara's faces...



Nothing is ever going to hurt you again...I promise...

Chapter Sixty



"No! Get away! Tara!" Willow called out in her sleep.



Tara gently caressed the red-head's face "Shhh...baby...you're okay...I'm here."



Tara glanced over to the doorway to see Buffy looking in, scanning the room for any signs of trouble. The Slayer had heard Willow call out in her sleep and had come to make sure everything was alright.



Tara looked at her friend...her sister-in-law...and smiled, motioning silently with her head for Buffy to come into the room.



Buffy walked over to Tara's side of the hospital bed and sat down in the chair. It was the first time in the last eight hours tha tthe Slayer had allowed herself to sit down and lower her guard a bit.



"Hey...are you okay?" Tara said, her voice barely more than a whisper.



"Yeah...I'm fine...nightmare?" Buffy asked.



"She has them a lot..." Tara said. It was true. Willow's slumber was rarely completely peaceful. Although she remained strong for the Scoobies throughout their many troubled times, her fears and emotions often caught up with her in her in the form of some pretty intense nightmares. Tara was used to calming her, and had become very adept at doing so without waking her completely.



A frown spread across Buffy's face. She knew about the nightmares...she had them every night herself...and her heart ached at the thought that her sister suffered in the same way.



Tara sensed the Slayer's pain.



"It's not your fault, Buffy..."



"How do you figure? She got into all of this because of me...if it weren't for me...she would have had a chance at a normal life...instead she's got vampires and demons...and nightmares..."



"...and friends and family who love her." Tara said, trying to ease Buffy's conscience.



"I know...but..."



"Buffy...how many times have you saved Willow's life? Let's face it...living here in Sunnydale isn't exactly condusive to good health...but she always had you...you always protected her. What if she hadn't had you?"



Buffy nodded...Tara did have a point. The life expectancy in Sunnydale was not exactly what you would call a long one...but having a Slayer for a best-friend definitely increased your lifespan.



Just then, the red-head started to stir...



"Tara?"



"I'm here, love." Tara said, gently rubbing her arm, being careful not to disturb the IV tubing.



Willow slowly opened her eyes...looking first to Tara, and then to Buffy.



"Hey Wills." Buffy said with a smile.



"Hey. What are you doing here so early?" Willow asked...not remembering that Buffy had stayed all night.



"Buffy's been here all night, baby...she wanted to make sure we were okay."



"Mmm...thanks, Buff."



"No problem, Wills. How are you feeling?"



"Sore...but better than yesterday, for sure!"



"You gave me...us quite a scare, you know."



"Sorry about that..." Willow said, smiling weakly.



Tara looked to the Slayer once again, nodding to her. Letting her know that she thought it was alright to go ahead and tell Willow the news...



"Um...Wills...there's something I need to tell you...and I'm not quite sure how to do this..."



Willow's smile turned to a look of concern "What's wrong? Is everyone okay?"



"No...no, everyone's fine, Will...um...you lost a lot of blood yesterday...when all of this happened..."



"Yeah...I remember looking up and seeing them change the little red bag of goodness on my IV once..."



Buffy bit her bottom lip...not quite sure how to proceed.



"They were um...running a little short on your type...and mine is the same as yours...so they gave you mine..."



Willow grinned "So I have Slayer blood in me, now? That is so cool!"



"Yeah...well...see...you kind of had Slayer blood before that..."



"What do you mean? I never had to get blood before..." Willow said, confused.



Tara felt that she should step in and help Buffy with the situation...to make things a little easier on both the Slayer and her wife.



"Honey...they had to run some tests on both you and Buffy's blood before they could give it to you...and they found that you're a match...a very close match."



"How close?" Willow said, wrinkling her brow.



Okay, Summers...there's no easy way to do this...the door is wide open...just go ahead and say it.



"Will...they said we're...sisters..."
