Chapter 6



A lot of talking was done that night. The girls sat around Tara's room and disclosed what they knew.



Buffy told them how she became The Slayer three years ago, how Giles was her watcher and Xander, Willow, and Anya all helped and how they called themselves the Scoobies.



Faith said that she had been called as a Slayer last year. Her watcher was killed right in front of her. She was sent here to get her next watcher. Tara helped out on the witchy end when she could.



They figured that Faith was called because Buffy died two years ago. Then Kendra was called and was killed, and that is where Faith came in.



Around two a.m. they decided to go to bed and to talk to Giles in the morrning.



"Um, well Faith you have your room, we can either have two per room or we can all just sleep in here." Tara suggested.



Faith was thinking just that. She was really wanting to get some alone time with Buffy. She finally realized why she was so much more into the blonde slayer than any other girl.



"Why don't we split in two? Me and B. in my room and you and Red in here."



The other three girls looked at each other but agreed. They all liked the arrangement but didn't want to let on how much.



So Buffy and Faith headed to the dark slayer's room. Tara and Willow got up off the floor and started to get ready for bed.



"Um, Tare?" the redhead asked.



"Yeah Will." the blonde answered.



"Do you have anything I can borrow to sleep in?" she asked as she looked at her outfit.



Tara giggled a little bit. "Yeah, I think I have something."



She turned and pulled out a very big baseball jersey and a football jersey. "Do you want baseball or football?"



"Um, I'm not much of a sports girl, so why don't you pick." Willow loved the idea of Tara dressing her. Even if it was only picking her nightshirt.



Tara thought for a moment and then handed Willow the white base, green-sleeved baseball jersey and took the powder blue football jersey for herself.



They both turned their backs on one another to change. The urge to turn around and look was a very powerful one but they managed to beat it back and not peek at the other girl while they changed.



When they were changed, they turned around and looked at each other. The two were a little nervous about sharing the bed after their kiss earlier.



Within a few minutes the two girls finally relaxed a little and got into Tara's twin bed. They laid back and got under the big white and blue stripped blanked and got ready to go to sleep.



The thoughts were running wild in both girls heads.

'What is she's freaked?'

'I wonder if she really likes girls?'

'Did she like the kiss?'

'Does she like me?'



Finally the questions in her head were too much for the redhead.



"Tara, I know that when I kissed you, you didn't seem to mind, but I want to make sure. I really like you, a lot. I would like to get to know you a lot better, and I just want to say that if you aren't against it, I would like us to date. If you are I still want to be friends. Friends are good too." Willow's babble came to an end when she heard Tara laugh.



Tara looked over at the redhead.



"I'm sorry. It's just that you are so cute when you bable. I would love to date you. I really like you too, Willow."



With that smiles spread across their faces and they hugged. When they pulled back they gave each other a light peck on the cheek and then laid back down.



"Um Tara?" Willow whispered.



"Yes Willow." the blonde looked to her left at Willow.



"I have two questions." the redhead preambled. "First, would you go out with me on a real date, Friday?"



"Yes, I would." Tara smiled. Her first real date, and it was with the most beautiful woman she had ever seen. "What's number two?"



"Um, well, um canwesnuggle?" Willow mumbled in a low and soft voice.



Tara barely caught that but she did catch it. The blonde smiled and nodded her head.



The two girls moved in closer together. Willow rested her head on Tara's chest with the blonde's arms around her back. Willow had one arm over Tara's midsection and the other was laid at her side.



"Goodnight Tara." Willow said through her smile.



"Goodnight Willow, sweet dreams." the blonde snuggled in closer and started to drift off to dreamland.



"Dreams of you are always sweet." the redhead mumbled before sleep took her.

In Faith's room the slayers had tossed their clothes and were wearing one of Faith's long black nightshirts each.



Faith and Buffy were in bed with the lights off but couldn't sleep.



"Yo B., you asleep?" Faith asked.



"Nah, can never really sleep after slaying. To much energy left over." Buffy said turning to look at the dark haired girl.



"I know what you mean. Always leaves me hungry and horny." Faith said simply as if it was no big deal.



Buffy was shocked. 'So it isn't just me!' "I know. You wouldn't happen to have a food stash, would ya?"



Faith smirked and winked. "I see we think alike. To far to the kitchen." With that Faith pulled out chips, chocolate, a box of Kix, and soda.



"Oh my God!" Buffy exclaimed.



"What?" Faith asked.



"This is the exact same stash I have." Buffy laughed.



Soon Faith joined in. "You know what they say, 'Great minds think a like.'"



"Guess so," the blonde slayer responded.



They started to eat and drink. They talked about small stuff like school and the best staking methods. Then Faith decided that it was now or never to find out.



"So B, got a man?" the dark slayer was praying for a 'no'.



"Um, not anymore." Buffy answered. She felt a slight pang, but for some strange reason it felt different, it didn't feel like pain. "How about you?"



"Nah, I tried dating guys, never went well. They were all losers." Faith answered.



For some reason Buffy's heart jumped up and down with joy at this. "So you gave up dating for a bit?"



Faith didn't know any other way to say it so she just came out with it, literally. "No B., my door swings the other way."



Buffy looked confused for a moment and then the light bulb went on over her head. 'She's gay. Oh my God this is great. I really like her. Wait... okay this explains the happy.'



'Well, she didn't go running for the hills or try to kick my ass. This is a good start.'



"And no, before you ask, I have no girlfriend either. Haven't found one who could keep up with me." Faith explained.



Buffy's smile just kept getting bigger. She suddenly had a great idea.



"I haven't actually found anyone who could keep up either. I told Will, that the next one that comes along that can pin me is my new steady."



Faith noticed that Buffy stayed away from 'he's' and 'him's' and she wondered about it for a second. Then an idea came to her. A huge smile graced her face.



"You shouldn't say that B." With that she moved the food and drinks to the floor.



"And why is that?" Buffy asked.



"Cause someone, I don't know, like me, could come along and do this!" The second the last word was out of her mouth, Faith plunged at Buffy and within a few seconds had the blonde pinned on to the bed.



"Now look what you have done." Buffy smirked.



Faith was worried that she had hurt Buffy and started to pull back until Buffy grabbed her hands. "What?"



"You just got yourself a new girlfriend and me my very first real girlfriend." Buffy smiled.



Faith started blankly. 'Did she just? No, she couldn't have, could she?'



"Huh?" was all the dark haired slayer could manage to say.



"You heard me." the blonde slayer said sitting up with Faith still in her lap.



"But, I thought you were straight, and I was in for a long useless pine." confessed Faith with confusion all over her face.



"I never said I was straight. I have just dated lots of guys. I have been out with girls a few times at my old school. Just nothing serious." Buffy looked at Faith to get a reaction.



Faith still stunned but coming out of the fog started to think. "So what? You're bi, but you just happen to never mention it to anyone?"



Buffy grinned sheepishly. "Um, yeah, basically that's it."



Faith smiled and got a evil look on her face. "Well then let me welcome you out of the closet."



With that she leaned over and kissed Buffy on the lips.



"Mmmm, glad to be out if I get that." Buffy smirked.



"Oh you do!" the brunette smiled and went in for another kiss.



"I think I like being out of the closet. Think I'll stay." the blonde smiled.



"That's good, any girl of mine must be out." the dark slayer was still sitting on Buffy and she wiggled down to lay full on top of her.



"So I'm your girl huh?" Buffy asked.



"Of course. Was there ever any doubt? You have been mine since I saw you. You just didn't know it." Faith winked and planted another kiss on Buffy's lips.



"Mmmm, as much as I love this, we should stop." Buffy breathed out.



"I...don't...wanna!" Faith murmured between kisses.



Buffy pulled back a bit and smirked. "I'm not this kinda girl. You have to take me out on a real date before you get make-out rights."



Faith rolled off the blonde slayer and laid next to her. "Okay, Friday night. We'll go out Friday." Then Faith smirked and stared at Buffy. "Then I get my rights."



With that they gave one last gentle kiss and curled up together under Faith's black blanket.



"Night babe." Faith said.



"Night honey." Buffy smiled.



This was going to be good. She just hoped it was that easy for Willow and Tara. Oh well, she would find out in the morrning.
