Looking for a Willow & Tara Fic Thread

Hi Gorn.

Speaking personally - and it's not my fic nor am I a moderator - I would think that would be bad form.

I believe there is a rule against posting links to off-site archives here. In addition I think it would be bad form to collect the parts of a writers fic together and repost them here.

First of all the fic belongs to the writer so it would be their choice - if you were to post that revised version elsewhere without their consent, even giving full credit, it's not very fair to them. Ditto for distributing in a word doc. (Though this may depend on whether they've allowed free distribution in their notes)

Secondly the thread already exists and the number of threads we can have is not unlimited. If it was reposted here for one fic then other people might start doing it for others etc etc.

Third - and this would my beef if anyone wanted to do it with my fic - many people consider feedback an integral part of the writing process. What people like, what they think, even just asking questions can shape the story.

While I know some people just like to be able to read straight through, as a writer the feedback process here is wonderful compared to an archive that just holds the parts. You get it 'live' in the same thread you post in. It's a strength of the board compared to a archive of parts with no feedback where, if you are lucky, you might get an e-mail once in a blue moon. The writer has to get something out of it, as I am sure you've realised nearly all of us are feedback whores Even with a completed fic I'm not sure it's something I'd like to see happening and discouraging feedback on an ongoing basis.

I'm sure a mod can give a more definitive answer.

Just my two penny's worth, don't take it the wrong way. It's great to have readers that care about the fics out there!

Gorn, just so you know. There is a site where Neverland is posted without all of the feedback. It's part of Chris Cook's Through The Looking Glass site.

In general though, authors should always be asked their permission before using any of their work. I hope it's acceptable to post the address for this site on here. Sorry for the inconvenience if this is not allowed.

Forgive me, I am a noob here.

Seems what I was looking for is already out there, but I'm glad I asked anyway before doing it myself. Last thing I want to do is offend anyone (particularly the author), and I CERTAINLY don't want to stifle feedback. I'd actually like to see more continuing discussion on that particular thread, seeing as how it might be a long wait before we see any more updates.

hey, i was happily reading "four months after" by captmurdock in the completed fics archive, but it's cut off. i was wondering if anyone knows or has the complete version.

also, i remember reading a fic where xander makes a wish and actually causes the sunnydale universe with vampires, demons, and the smartest kid in school as his best friend. i don't remember what it was called though.

if anyone could point me in the direction of either of these fics, i'd be greatly thankful!

Actually tru2urheart, I am in the process of writing a fic with that premise. I started it about a month ago, and hopefully within the next couple weeks I'll be posting the first chapter. I'm not aware of any fic that has used this idea before.

And then (!!!) Faith comes to town or they find her all beaten up or something, I don't remember, and Dawn reveals to her that she's had feelings for her for a long time. And Faith is like Woah you're too young.. but then they start having this secret relationship behind everyones back..and then is later revealed.

That's kinda all I remember.
I don't even think I finished the whole fic...

But yeah.. Does anyone know which fic I'm talking about?

Hey, lost_in_ecstasy. That fic doesn't sound familiar to me, but if your description is accurate, it sounds like it may not be on Pens (or it might have been here once, but isn't anymore). Unless Dawn is older in that fic than she was on the show, it would probably not be okay for Pens.

And this is a good time to remind folks that this thread is for Pens fics only. Of course, you might not remember where you read something and it's fine to ask about it here if you think you might have read it here. Hey Kittens,
I'm looking for a fic that I started awhile back but was waiting for updates on. In this fic, Willow doesn't follow directions carefully and the girls end up casting a spell that results in Tara carrying Willow's child. There were also graphics between some updates that were little notes from Willow to Tara as she's trying to regain Tara's trust, etc.

Please help, I want to re-read it and hopefully there is more now!

Well, there was a Tara/Willow based official comic called Wilderness (which Amber had a hand in as I recall)

If that is what you mean you can just use the search facility and it will link you to the another part of the old kitten board where you can read it.

I read a story a loooong time ago and want to find it again

I've tried to find it but as I can't remember the name it's kinda been difficult... please help!

Tara has left, Willow becomes a demon researcher/science boss type person. Buffy and the gang work for her, she tells them where to go, when and what to get. She lives in a big house with a woman (NOT a lover) and has no contact with the gang except phone calls, she's ill (sorta).

Tara returns with big news and Wes?!? - they've become demon fighters and family

Anyway Tara worries about what has happend to Will, turns out shes using Willow's powers after a spell they did before she left bound their magics. Will wears a pendant around her neck to keep some of her magic, tho the gang think she may be evil or a vamp.

Okay.. long winded description but it's a great fic.

I'm sure it's never been finished but I really liked it so thanks for any help

Hi all... I need some help. I was trying to go back and reread Reality Check but the formatting is all wonky for me. (I don't know if it is the board or if my system just doesn't like that page.) Does anyone have a link to where I can get the story where the formatting is okay or how to fix it so I can read it?

It's the page not you. The story is so old that it was originally posted on EZBoard when the Kitten was over there. That used pointy brackets for HTML code whereas this board uses square.

I just spot checked a couple of pages and it only appears to be the first page that has problems in the first post. The rest seems to be correctly formatted (I noticed italics were working in the rest of it and they would have been similary affected.)

You can read it here really since after the headers etc the text sits just fine apart from the odd italic command the BR command for new lines.

Easiest way to clear the formatting would be to copy/paste it to word then use Find/Replace to replace all the old EZ formatting command with nothing. Trouble is you have to it for each command both switch on and switch off. Then it should be readable.

I just went to do that but it is missing at least one part. There used to be a part between Tara's brother dropping her off and when Joyce went into the kitchen and found Tara cooking for her.

I was just thinking of this great story I read a long time ago...I don't remember the title...but I was thinking of this memorable scene...

Willow and Tara are in bed and Oz comes after them in wolfie form and in order to save her beloved, Tara approaches the wolf in all her naked vulnerability and fully displays her bare throat to him...as a message that she is not a threat to the animal and to Oz of how far she is willing to go for the woman she loves...

Any ideas?
