That's a really cool wallpaper, the black and white works very well. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever done anything in black and white before though. And it definitely has the look of a movie poster. If only they would make a Willow/Tara movie of Chris' story, your poster alone would attract a lot of attention for it .

Lots of you commented on the black and whiteness of the wallpaper. I knew I wanted the black background, with the faint W/T pics, and the silver and white text. With the other pics of W/T off to each side, the bright colors just didn't look right. I didn't want to go straight up b&w with those pics, so I just kept fading the colors 'til I liked they way it looked. *shrugs* I'm glad you all think it worked and liked it.

That's pretty much why I chose this fic. At first, I was gonna do the original Smut Bunnies fic, but I realized if I did Mission Improbable I'd be able to put the phrase 'crazed ex-porn star' on the wp. And that was just too awesome to pass up.

Glad you like the wp. I tried to find a more 'badass' pic of Willow, but as I discovered working on other wps, finding pics of Aly where she's not smiling, mugging for the camera, or in her underwear, isn't an easy thing.

tarebear: wow. I loved your paper. This story is one of my favorites. You definately captured the dream. It was so busy and almost in focus but just eluding. Beautiful. Excellent choice for picture of Tara as well, she does look mature and pensive.

Spighy: I've never read this fic but I definately want to now. You did an excellent job merging Oz/wolfOz. I definately noticed your colors shift from Tara to Oz. As everyone else has said, the scratches are fantastic! You must have spent a ton of time perfecting the shadows.

the_hero_factor: your wallpaper for Smut Bunnies is exactly what I would picture the movie poster to be. It's very business like with the black and white, very classic. It has the same feel as the story itself does, except for the smut hehe.

Auburn: Wow, amazing. I love the design over the black along the edge. The pictures you chose are some of my favorites. I've never read this story either but I definately will now. The paper has great contrast and is very eyecatching. It'll be on my desktop for a good long time. Just...wow...wow. Yeah, wow.

Really nice work, I like all the images on the right side of the wallpaper - difficult to have a composition like that without it looking like "and here's a bunch of screen grabs", but you pulled it off, and it looks both great, and properly 'unified', if you get what I mean. Even though there's a bunch of images, the wallpaper still looks like one 'thing', rather than a disjointed collage. I like the stars, too - nice touch.

(BTW, I did guess, and then after a couple more work out, that the 'coming next' graphics had clues to the fics being wallpapered. I just haven't been able to guess any of them yet - see above comment a couple of pages back re: me, guessing games, and doofus. Seriously, I was like "'Mission', I can't think what that refers to..." No, really. Don't laugh.)

Catching up. Thanks Maniacs, these are great wallpapers. I must say I am so happy that you are using only one story per author. It gives it a focus that a collage wouldn't have.

spighy's On Second Thoughts - superb! You captured the quiet menace of the Oz/wolf (exactly like how he would have left his face at when he was terrorizing Tara), the sadness of Tara's background expression (I can imagine that's how she was during those first 10 days they were apart), and of course the scratches just where they linked hands.

the hero factor's Smut Bunnies - wow. and wow. Genius. From the font selection to the placement of the photos to the tiny hint of color in the two bookend images. Like Chris said, movie poster. It will be so impactful (™Sallypants) if it were a full sized posted pasted all over our subway walls.

Auburn's No Matter Where You Go - seriously fabulous, Gemma. It's so slick. Image selection is top class too, you've chosen the ones that fit the story perfectly. I especially like Willow's worried expression over her Mac. I mean, she's naked under satin sheets, but here she is, thinking about her family.

What a great wallpaper. I like all the little screen captures, and the larger, main picture of the girls. It's really beautiful. And once again I have a new wallpaper on my laptop... I can feel it groaning with the strain of so many changes.

I've never read this fic (or any of DW's fics, aside from "Fraggle Rock" from WTTV), but I have to say that, from the title alone, it is one that I think is very emotional.
