Isn’t it always? The pics are the easiest thing to choose, the hard part is the composition and the background. The wrong background, and the overall effect is ruined. Thankfully, you never have this problem

Good to hear that I never ruined a wallpaper with the wrong background, thanks . Actually it isn’t always the hardest part cause most of the time I start with a background and choose the pics that are most suited to that background or make it look like they are most suited and when I’m totally not satisfied with the result I’ll try something else but luckily that doesn’t happen very often.

This latest wallpaper is absolutely gorgeus, Aly is so beautiful in those pics! I love her smile in the second one And I love the layout you choose, as if it was a photo album :-)

You’re absolutely right, that is my website but here’s a bit of an explanation why I haven’t updated my website for awhile. The more wallpapers I made and posted the less and less web space I had left until it was totally used up and I had to find some new web space which I did but so far I haven’t been able to update my website, sorry. I hope to very soon but alas I can’t make any promises but if I am able to you’re the first to know when it’s done .

Anyway, just wanted to say you are really talented, keep up the good work.

That’s really sweet but please no need to hang your head in shame okay?? Everybody’s free to leave feedback whenever they want or are able to do so and besides school is much more important and also most of the time I post way too soon but I’m going back to posting once a week. Hopefully that will give you enough time to leave feedback *not that you have to btw*.

For the first one, the effect I love most about it is the scrappy framing of the picture, it gives the feeling that it’s been ripped out of something and thoughtfully placed in say a scrapbook… people only tend to do that with pics that mean something to them or are special to them so I love that you captured that element of it.

Glad you love the scrappy framing of that picture although it wasn’t intended to be scrappy. And you’re right, I’m one of those people. I always handle the pictures I care for with extra care and the same goes for magazines, books etc.

Like most people have commented on, I love the notebook effect and school would be so much more enjoyable if I opened my book at school and saw that in it. I also love the colour of the background because it really complements and highlights Aly’s beautiful hair…as you probably know, and hence the reason for you using it!

Oh yeah school would definitely be much more enjoyable if you would open your book with dozens of Aly pics to look at instead of opening a physics book. Although I left school many years ago . Yeah actually I did use Aly’s hair colour for the background so you’re right about that too .

OK, now I have a question. I am aware that magicians don’t reveal their secrets as a rule, but I hope you’ll make an exception for me ! I apologise if you have said this before but I haven’t had a chance to go through the whole thread yet…anyway, I would like to start getting into making wallpapers or just experimenting with working with pictures and such on the computer. So to start with, how the hell do I go about it? What advice can you give or are willing to give me? What program/s do you use? And most importantly, is their any hope for me? Hopefully you can provide me with some help as you are my wallpaper goddess/queen !

Oh my!! Thank you. Hmmm where do I start. Well first off I’m totally not a magician, I just do the things that I like most and that’s working with pictures and turn them in some kind of art form, I still have a lot of things to learn though. But to answer your question, I’m totally willing to give you some help and advice, although it won’t be easy only by computer but you never know. The main programs that I use are Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop and PhotoImpact 5 (which I use mainly for backgrounds). PSP is a really great to work with and a very good alternative for Photoshop. I believe that everybody has some kind of creative streak so you never know until you tried it. I’m not saying this to discourage you on the contrary but you should see the wallpapers I made when I first started but I’m glad I never gave up otherwise I wouldn’t be where I am now. Do you have any ideas about what you want to be doing with pictures and such?? I hope that was a bit helpful and if you have some more questions or whatever you can always send me an e-mail (my address is in my profile).

You want to know my secret for this wallpaper or for all the other ones that I’ve posted . Well I can tell you my secret about this one though. For the Chance wallpaper I used “Corel Photo Album 6”, and the only thing I had to do was to pick the loveliest pics and put them in the right spot and I was done . This was definitely the easiest one I ever made. Hope that answers your question!!

Well since a couple of weeks I’m using PSP 10, and they’ve changed a couple of things from the previous version but alas not for the better . Photoshop is a really great program too but there are a couple of things they still have to improve especially the selection tool. It’s very poor compared to PSP.

Here’s already a new update but I’m sorry to say that it will be the last one for a while. I just need some time off cause about a month ago we found out that my mom’s cancer has returned for a third time. Thank you all very much for your support and as a “big thank you” to you all there’s a double update this time. Well since I couldn’t decide which one I liked best I’ll be posting both versions. Oh my!!!! You are okay right?? especially after reading that you were emitting high-pitched strangle squeaking noises!!! I never expected to get that kind of reaction so thank you very much for that . I guess I better make them less hot next time .

I'm ok now, but you should put a 'hotness warning' on next time, I think the thudding and twitching and squeaking was caused by shock! Definitely not less hot though, just a 'caution warning' maybe, after all, it's not really worth living if one doesn't faint from hotness overload from time to time!

There new two are wonderful, not so much in the 'falling off chair having a heart attack because of hotness' way but in an 'omg look how cute! squeeeeeeeee!' kind of way. I love the pinky pastel colours... I love pretty much all your colours actually, don't think there's many (if any) wallpapers I don't like! They're all so good.

Ok, I'm sorry I missed leaving feedback for the last one! I saw it just after you posted it last week but everytime I've been on since then I've kinda been in a rush, so sorry again! Here we go....
Starting with the one I missed...! I love the way you interpreted and kind of edited what the pictures mean. It worked really well and for any1 who doesn't know what the actual context of the pictures are will surely think that they are all related in a "fall off her chair with a loud thud, and lies frozen on the floor, twitching slightly and emitting high-pitched strangled squeaking noises" kinda way & even most of us who know what they actually were tend to do that ***cough*** Sasha ***cough***! I also love the swirling pink to bring our eyes to the centre of the pictures and with the darker colour kinda gives like a climax feel! And of course having is always great!
One down two to go... The first one of the newbies is just a masterpiece! I can't really say much else about this one apart from that I love it sooo much! Just everything about it and everything that you have done with it I love, & I'm once again in complete awe! And is that one big photoframe that the pictures are in?

I love the bubblish looking circles around the different pictures, it really gives the impression that we are thinking back to a certain time! I love the font you used to write "Real Me" as well but the thing I love most about this update is you used my favourite W/T picture, the one in the top left hand corner when Willow is hugging Tara from behind but it's just their faces and Willow is talking so it looks like she is pouting and awww it's just so cute ....It's in the first one too, I know, but for some reason I like it in the 2nd more! Thanks for adding that pic & emphasising!
Ok, I finally got through all three of them! I hope I don't deconstruct them to much and get annoying with my feedback, if I do I'm really sorry! Thank you for all the wallpapers you have made and shared with us, they are all amazing & this being the last update for the year means I get a chance to go through the whole thread and check out the ones I haven't seen! I'm so sorry to hear about your mum and my heart & love goes out to you and all your family :hug! Besides all that I hope you have a great Christmas and an even better New Years my wallpaper Goddess/Queen!

SithLordWiccan: Well sorry to hear that the “Wrecked” pictures gave off a vibe. I just thought that they blended really well but of course everyone’s entitled to have their own opinion.

Oh. Did you think that was a knock on your work? Cause it wasn't. The wallpaper is good. Very good. And upon further reflection, I have to agree with ambercissism's interpretation of the wallpaper. I just consider "Wrecked" to be a low point (though incredibly well acted on the part of Aly) in Season 6. And not just because it managed to cram the whole "Magic = Drugs" schtick that saturated most of Season 6 into one incredibly overhanded hour.

Still, good wallpaper.

Now, onto the new ones. Of the two, I would have to say that the first is my favorite, since the second is too bright and too disorganized for my tastes. (Not that, like before, it's a knock.) Always liked those two scens in that episode. And for some reason, Tara and Dawn thumb wrestling always managed to get a chuckle from me.
