Liz you are my one and only video whore. You and I are the only ones I know that watch every music video on the planet. Now I am not sure what that says about us, other than we have wayyy too much time on our hands. ;)

Autumn, ya would think a 12.5 kiss would rate, but apparently not. :rolleyes

I finally downloaded my first Rally video. The "Goodbye To You" video, though I knew it'd be sad. I cryed. Very nice work, though. Good editing. Hopefully I can download some other ones soon :)

Love the new vid, Rally. The song really was perfect. In three minutes you managed to encapsulate the plotlessness and thoughtlessness of the so-called storyline. The pertinent parts are there without all that vomit-worthy filler fluff they wrapped it in. Broken down like that, to the bare bones basics, the story is all the more :| inducing.

And yet still I'm left wondering what in the hell ME was thinking...

See now that is what I told Xita, just watch my video it only takes 3 minutes to watch the entire 2 hour finale. But as Autumn pointed out, there is girl kissing in my version. ;)

New Video - Epiphany

Epiphany by Staind

Ok, feels like I was just doing this a couple days ago. Before the last few episodes of the season aired, I had a number of songs in my head that I wanted to do. They all hinged around the season six finale. This is number two of I am not sure how many, that is why it follows so closely on the heels of Hero. While Hero ended up being much less angsty than I anticipated, this one turned out much darker than I thought.

Please realize this video contains many scenes from the last four episodes that may be disturbing. So please use discretion when choosing to few it or not.

As always I thank you all for taking the time to download. I know many of you do not post here at all. But I receive emails and I see the numbers in my webstats. I know the number of downloads far exceed the amount feedback.

Also, as always, links are at the top of the thread. Feedback always welcome and encouraged. Feel free to post here or through email, rally@rallyvincent.com"> rally@rallyvincent.com.

Wow, Rally. That last thirty seconds or so of everyone being embraced and comforted, and Tara laying alone and cold on the floor... that was just devastating. Great video.

Thanks Julia,

Liz had a bit of a hard time with the ending as well, and admittedly it is a very harsh ending. Also not what I had originally intended to do with the ending.

However, I chose this song because of the title first and foremost. We kept hearing about Buffy's "epiphany" that was somehow going to justify the entire season of crap they fed us.

In the end though, what we as fans felt was the abuse heaped upon Tara. So the end of this video, I feel, represents what we felt as fans. You have the three pairs all seeking solace in one another. :puke ...

...and then you have Tara all alone for the most part.

Hopefully I have given ample warnings that this is a dark video.

Hmm, videos, I have been getting a lot of emails lately about my videos, and this is a good thing. It's important to me to invoke a response, it may not always be a pleasurable one, but in some aspects it is like those at ME say. They are telling a story and I always try and tell a story with my videos. That story might not always be pleasant, however this is my outlet, well one of them, and I am glad some of you can take something from them as well.

Thanks to all of you who have only a seen a few and are just discovering them. Soon I will have my webpage updated and it will go into detail about all the videos.

For the last couple, thanks so much to Liz and Julia my wonderful video ho's.

Dream, LiangFeng, fairydust & tkheavan thanks for your reactions. The last two videos have been kind of harsh and I appreciate knowing what people think of them.

For everyone, I promise there is more happiness in the future. I have a couple things in mind, so I hope everyone will keep on watching.

Thanks,

-Rally

uhm *cough* excuse me, but I am shy :shy but 'cause you asked so nice Rally, I am going to reply :)

I've downloaded a couple of your videos and listen to/watch a few a whole lot, especially "The Couch". I think there hasn't been a day in the last couple of weeks where I didn't watch it. One reason is because I love Alanis. The other is, because you have picked the scenes so well.. someone mentioned it earlier, they fit to the lyrics and it evokes a certain kind of feeling I have a lot, too. The loneliness of having no real home inbetween your relatives, having a hard time dealing with those issues. So true for Willow and Tara and so true for me.. and the song adds to that perfectly.

I've downloaded Epiphany yesterday, and that is definetly a video you have a hard time watching because of it's major angst, but it is good to watch it. It actually deals with Tara's death.. which the show or ME truly didn't, but I desperatly need. So thank you for that :) It's tough, but it evokes a necessary feeling. Sadness. ME just made me angry and upset, shouting at the screen. But Tara's death is sad.. and seeing Willow in your video just makes me wanna hold her, tell her something that will sooth her pain, (although that isn't possible) and not looking in horror what ME did to her character.

And of course this emotion comes across, because you manage to feel the songs up and downturns and put the right scenes to those. If the song gets light, the scene is light and when the song gets intense the scene is strong aswell.

Besides that.. very good quality compared to other videos I have seen so far on the net. :)

Ok, I think that was what I wanted to say, heh, keep up the good work, it's strongly appreciated from my site :)

All I can say Xita is don't watch Epiphany...

I really like a lot of Two To Go for camp reasons only, but Grave has about zero redeeming quality in my book. I think my videos reflect my disgust for the DMW storyline.

Lindy, thanks so much for your response. That is the kind of heartfelt and well thought out feedback that everyone on Pens hopes for and too few get.

I watched it before you warned me. Man this still affects me. I was in tears watching Willow sob at the end, plus the very somber last few notes.. argh. Good job though Rally and maybe from now on every video you do can start with the entropy kiss :) . Her Tara is gone and I can't handle her pain. Yeah, she's just gonna move on next year. Whatever.

Xita, I would love to start every video with the Entropy kiss. I had to trim in the last couple videos and that just killed me. It's hard enough trimming scenes you like, but I had the hardest time trimming that back.

I think I have at least one video in the works where I may manage to get every kiss in it. Hoping... well, I think between those two videos you saw some of the worst of Two To Go and Grave. So, ya know, no need to watch the rest of that crap really.

Julia, you are spending an awful lot of time in this thread lately... that's all I'm saying. ;)

I'm just sayin', yanno... I'm happy being designated just about any kind of Kittenish whore. I'm very proud of my whorish credentials. As any whoreling worth her, ahem, salt would be.

As for spending an inordinate amount of time in this thread- feeeed me, Seymour. I'm addicted to your videos. I admit it. I've been for a long while now on a strict little-to-no W/T diet, and you're one of the few Pens artists I trust enough to continue partaking of. I'm a traumatized Kitten. Gotta be careful these days.

But I have more on the way, and maybe even some non upsetting ones. In fact of three I am working on now, one is down right chipper. So never fear, I will continue to take great pleasure in manipulating ME's images into my own stories.

Thank you so much for all these videos. The work you put into them is obvious and much appreciated. Your choice of scenes and lyrics are obviously heartfelt.

If you are considering outside input I'd like to make a reccomendation for a Tara tribute that could be full of happy Tara images and still work as an emotional catharsis. There is a song by The Cure called "Treasure" off the Wild Mood Swings album. It's very dreamy with lots of strings. The lyrics fit how all of us would like to remember Tara.

TREASURE

By The Cure

From "Wild Mood Swings"

she whispers

"please remember me

when I am gone from here"

she whispers

"please remember me

but not with tears...

remember I was always true

remember that I always tried

remember I loved only you

remember me and smile...

for it's better to forget

than to remember me

and cry"

"remember I was always true

remember that I always tried

remember I loved only you

remember me and smile...

for it's better to forget

than to remember me

and cry... "

Hey Rally,

I hadn't commented on the last 2 vids you've done but I found both to be very well done. The body bag in the end though made me quite sad. Good work. I'm looking forward to something a little more upbeat. You know how I'm all about that. Which is why the I'm too Sexy stuff is such a hit with me.

Anyway, I appreciate the obvious time and effort you put into all of them. And the fact that you always slip in the girl kissing. ;)

Thanks Autumn,

I thought all my regulars had abandoned my trips into darkness. The body bag shot was tough for me to put in, but it I suppose is my homage to ME. Giving me at least, what I needed to say, not necessarily what I wanted to see...

At any rate next on board is angst, but angst is accompanied by good stuff. I like to think of the next one that is very close, as being a hopeful video.

And on that hopeful note, hopefully I will have it finished by tomorrow night.
