The Funny Moments Thread

Postby _Salix_ » Sun Sep 07, 2014 3:09 pm

We post a really funny or strange moment that happened recently in our lives. Here's mine:

So my little kiddo Elena was runnin' around like the little 2 year old she is when, suddenly, she spotted my 8 year old brother crying. He had hit his head earlier that day and had a headache. My grandma was comforting him, saying he was tired and needed some sleep. My brother said "No! I'm not tired!" So Elena was all like "Oh, Sammy. You hate grandma?" We have no idea where she learned the word "hate," 'cuz we never say anything like that. She knew it was wrong, though. She apologized. It was cute.

I have a fish named Drusilla. He doesn't know, he thinks his name is Drew. Shhhh...

Spike: Are we feeling better, then?
Drusilla: I'm naming all the stars.
Spike: You can't see the stars, love. That's the ceiling. Also it's day.
Drusilla: I can see them. But I've named them all the same name, and there's terrible confusion.

When my son was 4 and a half we moved into a new house and I would sometimes move his stuffed animals around his room. I was always careful to use gloves so I didn't 'touch' them. I could sense his struggle between logic and magic when he asked me if I'd moved them or if they moved themselves. I said, "Well, why don't you ask them?" That made sense to him so he asked the question and held first one stuffed animal to his ear and then another. I was curious, "What did they say?" "This one said 'yes' you moved them and this one said that they moved themselves." I smiled and said nothing, clearly my son still believed and I decided to let him enjoy it.
