I sitting here, feeling "Getting to Know You" again w/ my
boots.
Here's the thing: on my last few
longer hikes/walks, I'd either been getting blisters, or ALMOST getting them.

And then in my last hike, last Wednesday, my feet got soaked (it WAS a wet day, but the soaking came more from water off the grass/brush, that directly from rain).
Well, the latter indicated another waterproofing job (as well as---ARGH!---fixing a small hole in the leather, on the right side: may I remind y'all, I only got these boots in
October?
).
When I pulled out the inner soles (in prep for gluing and waterproofing), I was shocked to see how
thin that these inner soles (recycled, from several previous pairs of boots---because the boots I buy now are CRAP, and don't come w/ decent inner soles) had gotten.
As luck would have it, I had just purchased a pair of "Dr. Scholl's"-type insoles (for another pair of dress shoes), and there were two pair in a pack!
Ergo, my boots have had a complete refit: gluing, waterproofing, and extra insole adding!
GG
I'm hoping that on my next hike, my feet will stay BOTH dry, and blister(ish)-free! Out
But first, tomorrow is Squats Day (I lift in my boots, also!).
