I'm writing with Car -- no, we're not working on something together, we're each writing our own stuff, but like, encouraging each other. Like in college when you had a study buddy and you found a corner in a library where you studied together. I'm also happy cos the Airport card I ordered for my 2002 Titanium Powerbook finally arrived and I just need to go to the store to have it fitted.

I am sitting on the couch drinking coffee after my shower, watching a little telly. Wondering what to wear to work. I think shorts and a fuschia polo short. Running shoes. Yay for Friday. Also, I'm thinking about buying a splitting axe.

I'm waiting for my gf to get here (my apt), it's the beginning of the weekend for us, the weather is miserable, she is pissed off at people at work, I'm irritated cos those pissers is putting a strain on our relationship. We haven't seen each other since Sunday (as usual) so a heavy dosage of snuggles is in order.

Happy that I finished writing a large section of KR, just sent to Car for review. Waiting for Car to send me her fic for review, it's mutual beta-ing weekend.

Wanting to congratulate Emms for reaching the oft aspired status of Gay Now, even though, snerk, she really hasn't only recently turned gay :lol.

I vote for tomorrow morning....otherwise I will be tempted to read it when I get home from work....and I have to finish the next chapter of Coming Back so I can post tonight....otherwise watson will kick my silly ass. :D

To stay on topic....I'm looking at profiles on Monster.com in hopes of finding someone to fill the empty desk across from me.

I am also reminding myself that I owe Sally SCADS of feedback for Ubercon...cuz I've been reading, but haven't been able to reply. But once Coming Back is posted, I'm on feedback giving patrol this weekend. :D

And I'm wishing I could leave work RIGHT NOW!

Queen Carleen the feedback novella queen who HAS been slipping in not leaving fb for people wrote:I am also reminding myself that I owe Sally SCADS of feedback for Ubercon

I'm thinking, Queen Carleen owes me a whole state (take your pick, I'd say Texas or California) worth of fb for KR. But then again she co-wrote ep 10, beta'ed ep 11 and will do the same for ep 12, so she's forgiven.

Waiting for gf to finish watching her Korean drama, then off to run errands for the day -- my bank account will be much depleted by tonight. :( Looking forward to having dinner with the in-laws tonight, even though they aren't actually aware that they are the in-laws.

Hey all,
I have just come back from a great night out, there is a gourguous woman who has just started at my course, she's new to my town and we get on like a house on fire....with a barrel full of kerosene in every room, (really well in other words) and tonight I was sitting in the middle of a town square/street/mall...thing having a quiet smoke while my friend finished of her wine and she (the hottie from school) was randomly across the street, she came over to say hi and she sat with us while she waited for her friend to arrive, My friend (Bless her cotton socks) ended up taking of because she was late for something...'late'...got to love when your best friend knows when to bail!! :bounce
and me and this hottie sat and chatted for an hour and a half, it was cold so we ended up in a bar having a drink, and I met her friends who seemed loverly and now im home...compleatly fasinated with Adidas's new shoe....it thinks for itself!!
its great, and the add's not bad for it either,
the shoe has probably been out for a good six months everywhere else in the world but its new and shiny in New Zealand, and as a magpie by nature its in my interests to check it out,

thats my story and Im sticking to it,
(Half of this probably should be in the happy feelings thread but hey its marginaly relevent,

(please dont shoot me moderators,,,) :blush
night all, hope your day/night/year is going swimingly for you,

I'm getting a wrinkle above my eyebrow because I just can't stop lifting it, and I love that you know..

ETA now I'm singing Baby Balooga (spelling?) over and over again because it's so adorable the way she's dancing around the room. :-D

I'm making a tomato sauce with 5lbs of romas that I picked from my garden that will be part of a eggplant parmigiana I'm making tomorrow and simmering chermoulah on the side. I love to cook.

God, I wish I could cook. :happy I can barely boil water... :lol

I just spent the last hour rearranging the guest room, so that it is completely child proof with a two year old who's idea of helping is to stand in the middle of the room shouting "I did it Naunny! I did it Naunny!" (she calls me Naunny...I have know Idea why, cause it's not even close to what my name is. But my theory is that she started out trying to say "Auntie" but it came out Naunny) while throwing various Items of clothing around the room. :lol

So now, she's in bed watching The Land Before Time....and I'm downstairs taking a much needed break. Also, I'm thinking about working on an update to one of my fics.

Just got home from hanging out at my cousin's pool...got thoroughly soaked by my 3-year-old cousin, even though I did NOT go swimming...but he's so cute and insisted that I keep throwing him in...I couldn't resist...even if he dripped all over me everytime he got out to be thrown back in. :D

Now, I'm sitting here chatting with watson and Cam...will be beta-ing updates for each of them in a short time. But, mostly, I'm just relaxing and enjoying my friends.

Emms! I can't tell you how often I've had that song stuck in my head lately! My niece got a book with that song in it sometime last month. I keep finding myself randomly singing it..over and over and over. (in the shower....driving to the store....grilling dinner...etc.) I can totally imagine how adorable it is watching your niece dancing around the room to it -- my niece likes to cock her head to the side while she dances around singing it to herself. Sooooooo cute. My favorite Beluga moment was when she came over and helped me strum the guitar while we sang the song -- she did a great job strumming right in rhythm...had auntie all welled up.

To get this post back on topic, I'm currently....

catching up on the Kitten, just finishing up a bowl of cinnamon Life cereal, having some coffee (iced w/shot of espresso) and trying to wake myself up and get my lazy butt upstairs into the office and get going on work. Also wondering why cat food (wet) has to be so STINKY!

I am having lunch at my desk at work. Lunch today is: cottage cheese, yogurt (both those little 4oz jobbers), a hard-boiled egg white, string cheese, Ritz crackers, and an apple. (Basically whatever was handy and grabbable as I tried to finish up getting ready because I was LATE AGAIN leaving for work.)

Oh yeah - and a fun size Milky Way!
