It's 23 here, which is like springtime compared to the freezing temperatures we've been getting. It was nice yesterday too.

Plenty of snow on the ground though, and I'm sure a lot more on the way before it's all over :rolleyes

it's 34F here and I'd like to go outside to enjoy it, but I definitely have the flu...

I was tired yesterday. I described it as feeling as if I had been hit by a Mack Truck......

Well, today, a fleet of Mack Semi's must have come through. I woke up in the middle of the night to use the "small room" and ended up on the floor beside the throne trying to empty my stomach... (Bytrsuite, watch out!!!) I've been taking painkillers every 3-4 hours & I've been sleeping the day through.... thank heaven I had some 7up at home... even though warm 7up isn't exactly the most wonderful drink, it is staying down.... but I'm definitely NOT feeling good.

This is the type of flu where I DO plan my funeral... that is how bad I feel.... :cry

(VR sympathy hugs are gladly accepted, especially since I may be contagious.)

Hugs to you Skittles, hope you feel better soon. Thank heavens I got my flu shot early, they look after us health care types. There are a couple of thing that you can do but it is primarily symptomatic. Stay well hydrated, get lots of rest, eat some dry carbs (crackers), and make sure the remote control is close by. Oh yeah, please don't make your arrangements yet. :D

It was 60 degrees F today, after our wintry, ice storm last weekend. I'm on a weather roller coaster.

I am still studying for my licensing exam. If I have to read or answer anything else about pregnancy or newborn complications, I'm gonna scream! :gnome It's important to know this stuff but I am not going in to the labor and delivery area. So it feels kinda moot.

Thursday!!! Lovely, lovely Thursday. It's snowing a little bit. Eh, it'll melt on out next 60 degree day. March is so amusing.

I need to pick up some decaffeinated coffee. I love coffee but too much caffeine gives me a headache. Heh, and all the chocolate I eat doesn't help that. Sigh, I suppose I'll just cut down a little on both.

Kathy, our weather is the complete opposite. 62 and sunny in Seattle in March! No rain for months, no snow and apparently no snow pack to supplement our water supply. I suppose Washington is giving me a little goodbye as this is the last time I will be here for quite a while. ;)

Are any of you wearing the green? I do although I'm only Irish by marriage/civil union. Have a great one, Kittens. :dance

Ah yes, St Patrick's Day. Since I'm Irish, I do wear green. Tonight, the girls from my ball team and I get together at the pub that sponsors our team. Yes, in the US most "pubs" are called "bars" but this is an Irish Pub that throws a big party for the womens and mens softball teams on St. Patricks Day. The owners poor wife makes corned beef and cabbage all day and its all free today for us along with our drinks. Others have to pay and its usually so busy that if you can get up to the bar, you'd better order a few rounds in advance.

Enjoy the day everyone!!!!

Love to All,

Aye, 'tis indeed St. Pat's! Strangely, I've taken to NOT wearin' of the green just like my dad. He never wore green - didn't need to, the stamp of "I'm IRISH" was all over him. Never drank the green beer, either - didn't know where it's been. Now, I'll drink the black beer (Guinness) anytime and twice more today! As for the bein' careful, always. My family and I are very careful with each other, and watch to make sure that we all get home safely. St. Pat's day with us was summed up by my Catholic priest cousin, who turned to us in all seriousness and said St. Pat's is "a holy day of obligation", with a heavy Irish burr on the last word. Delightful. So now I've blathered on longer than needed, and here Ive not a drop today - I must be blessed with the gab! A full day of the Pogues and Flogging Molly, maybe some Dropkick Kennedys. Time to show the Republicans how us Irish Democrats can party. Goodness, this has been a long note, so I'll end with this toast: May ye be in heaven half an hour before the Devil know's yer dead!!! Have a marvelous day, Kittens!!!

Well, I still like Thursday and especially St. Pat's Day and even more tonight since I'm going to see the Chieftans for the first time. Coolness. And some Guinness draft afterwards probably. But no green beer. Yech.

Hope all kittens had a great Paddy's day. It always amuses me that it's such a popular holiday in other countries too. My day was spent watching the parade in my home town with my gf and family. Actually when I say watching, I could only see directly in front of me as my 4 year old nephew was sitting on my shoulders during the parade!

Man, it was like 80 a couple of days ago and now it's down to 50. Gotta love Springtime.

Two snakes climbed up on the chainlink fence around the yard and I think they were mating, or trying to, anyway. They were there last year, too. I guess I made them nervous this year, and they leaped down and gave me a dirty look. It weirds me out a little that a regular little garden snake can climb a fence, but I'm thankful it's not any kind of dangerous one.

Woo, Thursday.

Ha, it's been thunderstorming a lot lately and it's definitely not as hot as it was last year. Which is okay. Though I'd be so happy if it rained mostly at night. Gloomy days make me melancholy sometimes.

What, is this the weather thread? Since you started it, let me tell you - it was real hot here a few days ago. It hit 100 at some point. The heat indices were around 108 for a few days. It's cooled off to the low 90s now. We're having a drought, apparently. Crops are dying and they're restricting water usage. This doesn't bode well for our local roller derby league's planned carwash fundraiser next weekend...

I am so bummed because I am going to be in class all day during the carwash. Come on! Bleh.

Weeeeeee, indeed! How 'bout some bunnies!

And happy weekend to the Kittens of the world.
