I spend about 20-30 minutes today taking pictures of myself to submit with a scholarship application to Seventeen Magazine (which I know I won't win, but at $20,000 I couldn't not apply). I now feel like a part of my soul has died.

Ed Sheeran played a bedside gig for a 14 year old fan who shortly after died of Cancer and he gave her a bracelet too, thats so sweet, thats why I respect him as an artist because not only do his lyrics mean something but he cares about people. I have to say my eyes got teary when I was reading about that.

For some reason when I sing any Def Leppard song I somehow always shimmy my arse back and forth and end up bopping my head like a bobblehead, there is something really therepeutic about letting go and singing like no one's around

I just realised, that for a while now, I've actually been thinking and dreaming in English and it completely messes up my ability to communicate in my native language, because I have to translate my thoughts...

My main problem is that I tend to mix German and English in the strangest ways possible. I often start a sentence in German and switch to English mid sentence, work in English words with German inflection AND (which everyone finds highly amusing) use English sentence structures in otherwise German sentences, everything without me actively doing so. Works with most of my friends (since many of them are majoring in English as well), but sometimes I just get this confused look that clearly states that they think I am a very strange person. I originally thought this was just a by-effect of studying two languages, but it seems like it's the internet's fault.

So, random fact: From now on, I am going to blame everything on the internet.

Good idea. Blaming the internet. I often answer in English to a question in German (and sometimes the other way around)... It's a good thing most Germans know English.


OT: I stopped reading books in German a long time ago. There doesn't seem to be any challenge in reading in my native language. If that makes sense. I get funny stares all the time, because I outright refuse to read any novels/books in German.

I have no idea how to say "won't" in French, so everytime I sing the ABCs in French, it ends "prete temp (won't) vous chantez avec moi." I have been singing it this way for well over a year.

I read two books in the last 39 hours... More than a thousand pages all in all. That makes four books in 8 days...

In my life, I have started around 2 dozen fanfics. I have completed exactly 1, which was around a page long and written in one day.

I read six books this week. Started on number seven just an hour ago. Meaning I spent over 130 hours reading this week.

Sarah Michelle Gellar originally auditioned for Cordelia. The part of Buffy was first offered to Katie Holmes, but she turned it down to finish high school. Ryan Reynolds was offered Xander, but passed and it went to Nick Brendon. Can you imagine ANY of these other people in those roles?

Not at all! Mostly because the actors have shaped the characters, a lot... But also because I can't picture Katie kicking any ass, let alone demon ass.

In related news, a month ago yesterday I turned 30. This, this did not make me feel old. Today, one of my first crushes (Wil Wheaton) turns 40.

That? That makes me feel old.
