Starr - Glad to hear you're getting some weight and muscles on.

Jas - Excellent! Consider joining DailyMile. Everyone is super supportive and I've learned a lot from other runners.

Foxycas - Well done. That's awesome.

Yesterday I was slammed at work. I came in around 9am and left after 8pm. I clipped the pedometer on when I got there and when I left it registered over 10 miles!!! Crazy day. I weighed myself in the morning and right before I went to bed... -3.5lbs. So, total since last August... -83.5lbs. :grin Only 80 more to go, lol. It sounds like a lot, but considering what I was facing last year...small potatoes!

Shel - That is fucking awesome! I'll tell you that when I saw you, you don't look like you have 80 pounds to lose.

Me. Shit. Back in the spring while my back was rehabing my heel started hurting. Then it started hurting worse and worse. I ran less and walked more and cycled more and it kept hurting. I decided to see a doctor and it took a few weeks to get it scheduled but that doctor turned out to be $150 out of pocket per visit so fuck that. So I called to make an appointment with my primary care physician and she was out of town and can't see me for 3 weeks. So I have an appointment week. I've done no walking (except just daily), no running, no cycling. No nothing. And it still hurts. I'm limping constantly but I'm also starting to go stir crazy. Seriously stir fucking crazy.

If she says I will not be able to get moving soon I will have to join a gym so I can swim or something!

Awww, thanks Deb!! I need to lose another 80 to get into my "ideal" range, which I haven't seen since high school, so that's a stretch. If I can drop another 40 or 50, I'll be thrilled. The real work will be in keeping it off.

I bought a $2,000 Bowflex machine for $75 at a garage sale this morning...hardly used. Let the fun begin!

Wow. That's super cool - Shel.

I went to see the Podiatrist today. He diagnosed Achilles Tendinitis AND Plantar Fasciatis. The problem is high arches. He sold me stiff insoles with high arches, said I need a heel cup which I can get next week, and gave me an excruciating steroid shot in the arch of my foot.

Bottom line is it will take a long time. No running. Little walking. Always wear shoes & especially arches.

I'm my usual active self with whatever I can work in. I've gained a lot of weight but life is that hectic. Working on getting healthier.

My wife gave me a fitbit for Mother's day so if you have one, please friend me (debra.serrins@gmail.com).
