I have decided to officially come out to the world on the first day of my college. (September). Yes looking forward to that, sick and tired of all the hiding.

Um...I had a glowstick explode it's contents into my eye...was not fun. I cracked it too many times and the plastic actually split and the stuff that makes it glow inside shot out and hit my eye.

I am so ridiculously lazy this morning that I'm watching Will & Grace instead of Doctor Who cause it's on TV and I'm too lazy to stand up and put a DVD on.

I have two middle names, Winifred and Sarafina.

I also have hung up quotes from my favourite people/fictional characters in my room, to make it more "me" like. (It used to be my sister's) I have quotes from Alyson, Amber, Tara, Wilow, Lily, Lenore, and Zelda just to name a few.

I just realized, I have now been in love with Tara/Amber for approximately a decade. I feel like this should be celebrated, but everyone I know would think I'm crazy for being proud my love's lasted this long...

I tend to collect DVDs, Video games and TV Box sets that I love, just because when I'm older I want to watch those DVDs and TV shows and play those older games that I remember so I can get nostalgic about my childhood.

I love Doctor Who, but I will stand and defend you against said objects because I generally get the same reaction when I say I don't like Buffy outside of W/T.

OT: Every night before I go to sleep, I think 'Abraham Lincoln'. It's been going on for about six months and for the life of me I cannot remember what started it, but now I seem to be conditioned into thinking it.

I honestly did try to watch Doctor Who at least twice, but I just couldn't get into it. I'm very picky about my TV shows. Thank you for offering to defend me from thrown/flying objects

I moved into a dorm today, and the first things I unpacked were my Buffy ornaments. The desk and the top of the bookshelf are now filled with immense numbers of Doctor Who and Buffy decorations, and it makes me very happy. Although I only count 6 TARDISs, which is entirely too few...

It is possibly weird how much I love listening to Richard Dawkins; sometimes I just zone out on his lectures and enjoy his voice.

Today, Flag Day, is one of my best friends' birthday and it got me waxing nostalgic about high school. I'm still close to the group of five girls I was friends with in HS and sometimes I just can't wrap my head around the fact that it's been nearly THIRTY YEARS since we graduated! With that said, here's some random facts about us...

-We're all still close and talk on a regular basis
-Only 2 of us are on Facebook
-4 of us graduated from college, while only 1 has a career in her chosen major
-2 have master's degrees
-3 attended the same college, but none of us have ever lived together
-1 of us is a lesbian and is in the second longest running relationship of the group
-1 is still married to her HS sweetheart
-4 are on their 2nd marriages
-None of us had kids before age 30
-3 of us were unable to have children and adopted
-1 has no kids at all
-Between the 6 of us, there are 9 children; 2 boys and 7 girls ages 8 months to 14 yrs
-Only 1 has more than 2 children and 3 of us only have 1 each
-4 still live in Florida, but only 2 in the same area
-4 still have both of their parents living while 1 lost a Mom and 1 lost a Dad
-Only 1 had their parents divorce
-2 have Mother's diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease
-3 have chronic autoimmune illnesses
-All 6 wear corrective lenses
-1 plays an instrument
-5 are artistic and 1 is neither artistic nor musical
-While only 1 was an honor student (the other 5 average), all of our school age children are AP students

And last, but not least...none of us have our original hair color.

I am officially on the wonkiest sleep schedule of my life. Days I don't have work I go to bed between 4 and 6am and get up 8-10 hours later; days I have work but no class I go to bed between 3am and 4am, get up between 8 and 8:30, then go to bed again around 2:30 and sleep until 5 or 6pm; and on days I have work and class I go to bed around 3am, get up around 8:30, and sleep again from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. Yesterday I woke up 2 hours after I'll be getting off work today.
