Wow. I had the best time and I plan on returning to cons as much as I possibly can!

I've finally recovered from the insanity that was this weekend. Friday was great. I enjoyed meeting and talking with those of you that I could. It was great to see some familiar faces too.



I hope those that traveled long distance enjoyed the city and the con.

hey everyone....



ok, I got this all typed up and then lost it trying to put some pics with it so here goes again..... I will post some pics if someone is willing to help me out a little bit....



Unfortunately, we didnt make it to meet any of the kittens in Chicago on Friday. We left Oklahoma that morning and managed to get lost in St Louis. After finding our way out we spent the next almost 300 miles surrounded by corn!!! I honestly thought we had managed end up some where other than Illinois!!!! When we finally make it to Rosemont first we couldnt find the hotel, then decided to go into downtown. SOOOOOO not a good idea after 12 hours of driving. I have never seen a toll plaza with so many lanes and after you leave the little booth thingy the lanes end!!!!! and cars just start merging together!!!! after surviving that we yet again managed to get lost only this time in downtown. it was actually kind of funny!!!



Saturday was much better, we made it to the convention center and stood in line to pick up our advance tickets then we got in line at the inkworks booth. They came around and told us that it would be at least another hour before Amber got there. Some guy behind us couldnt wait so he was trying to sell us a couple copies of wilderness, but I have that already..he did give us one copy said we could just have it.... hey, no complaints there!!



I'm just standing there in my own little world and they just brought Amber and her mom in right behind us.... I saw her and I was just standing there staring like (I think my chin was almost on the floor!!) Ashlie was like "that was her! that was Amber!! did you get a picture!?! I was like "NO!! I was too busy standing there going . I swear just that was incredible Ive never seen her in person before.



I brought my Chance dvd and when we got close enough I asked Diane if Amber would sign it and she said that she would!! We talked about Chance. Then we picked up a couple of photos and chatted with Amber's mom. she asked where we were from and we told her Oklahoma and that we drove in.. She said that they drove from California to Alabama and then into Chicago. and she couldnt believe it was over 2000 miles across!!! she also told us they have to come through OK to get back to Alabama. now if we could just have a con here and she could visit!!



When it was my turn I stood there clinging onto the pics and dvd with a goofy grin on my face. Amber giggled and said hi!!! it was soooo cute!!! when she was signing my pics and stuff Diane noticed that one of the pics had lines going through it and they went through the stack to find one that didnt!!! She told Amber that we drove in from OKLA and Amber was like really?? All I could do was nod my head and say "uh huh"... we then asked if we could take a picture with her and she said ok..... then second she touched me I thought I was gonna pass out!!! Im serious....



Amber is soo gorgeous!!!! And soo tiny!!! good lord she's small!!! and her and her mom are awesome. Ive read everyones posts about meeting them, but actually getting to be there and see and talk to them. was like a dream come true...



anyhoo after leaving the con we ventured back into downtown and had lunch at the hard rock cafe, then went down the magnificent mile and to the beach. Then we wandered into the Stargaze bar in as the bartender put it "girls town". I highly recommend it to all 21+ kittens. then we found wrigley field. For dinner we went to the Rain Forest Cafe. that place was cool. I ordered a grilled chicken caesar salad that I swear was big enough to feed three people. they threw away more than I ate. It was kinda scary that was one huge salad.



On Sunday we stopped in St louis to see the Mississippi, the Arch, and Busch stadium and then ended our trip at the world's largest McDonald's for dinner. ya know I've lived in Oklahoma my entire life and didnt know we had the largest micky d's.



well that would be our trip. we have tons of pics on two digital cams I'll post as soon as I can figure it out . anyone willing to help out???

I sympathize with all your driving... We're here in Tulsa and we drove to see Amber all the way to Toronto, to the Catskills and to Birmingham.



Thanks to Amber, today I've been to each single state East or South of Oklahoma.

AHHHHHOOHHH man! Got home about 45 minutes ago (currently 1:27AMest) I definitely can't stay up and tell you about the GREATEST TIME spent in Chicago, I'll leave it for mañana. Just wanted to say how incredible it was to meet up with many kittens including Doc GG, Skittles, RiffRaff (DUDE Speak Up... heh, thanx for the pics...Ammmberbuuutt lol) and the spiffy Becca LMAO ... OMSG!!!! (I'll be saying that from here on in) .. Marina... HOLY POTATOES Woman!! LOL Ashleigh (did I spell that right?) you're awesome!



Amber was incredible, her mom is SUPER incredible! Both sweethearts... becca, marina...we need a Starbucks card... lol



I'm sure everyone will put in their fair share of details on the con, as for moi, I go beddye bye.. I'll post up as many pics and vids as I can asap...

Hey Guys, I made it back from Chicago last night but I've only just managed to get on-line.



I had a great time and really enjoyed meeting you all on Friday night. Even if URN OF OSIRIS laughed at me for calling a man in the Pizza Place a "chap" and POCKET GNOME thought my screen name was Puttz.



I can be quiet so thanks to Trish for making me talk...altho I think it was coz she just wanted to hear my accent.



Chicago itself was excellent and I filled everyday with stuff to see and do....I'm very glad I went!
