This could be a thing that's great depending on circumstance, but right now it's a thing that sucks.

Mid May frosts (f-ing ridiculous) followed, 3 days later, by 90 degree temps.

The plants and I are both have a bit of a breakdown... lost most of my field planted tomatoes and peppers and although I can replace most of them it just sets things waaaay back.

Thought about you this morning as I was scraping ice off the windshield. The corn fields around my house all recently started to sprout; I was happy to see they'd planted corn this year. Last few years was wheat or soy beans or some other boring stuff that doesn't hide my house from the neighbors. Will corn survive a frost like that?

EDIT
If all the corn around me dies, that would suck.
I spent most of my money on liquor and women,

Little kids that have no concept of the personal space of others. (I mean, obviously no kid entirely understands, but some toddlers are just constantly on top of the other kids without even seeming to notice. Which really sucks in a class that also contains two kids that get really upset if anybody bumps into them.)

Yesterday was my first day of class at my new college, and when I got out of lab last night I had this moment where I thought 'I'll text E...' She dumped me more than 4 months ago, and on my first day of Uni (and again today) I cried over missing her. It *sucks* that even when good things happen, half the time they feel ruined cause I can't share them with her. It sucks to not be over this...

Picking 200+ tomato hornworms off less than 50 tomato plants. Or more precisely, the defoliated sticks that remain of the tomato plants.

1. Waking up with a horrible leg cramp, despite the fact that yesterday was the first day in a week that I *didn't* run or go for a long walk.

2. Waking up after 10 hours when I only meant to sleep 8 and still feeling insanely tired.

3. Waking up and realizing I have to go to bed again in 11 hours.

Jas - You might need to increase your intake of salt or electrolytes while exercising or magnesium/potassium any time.

Asher and I drove the "advance guard car" home to get started getting ready for the week after 4 days at the farm. So I pulled out the 2 big bags of dirty farm laundry and then grabbed the baskets and realized we had 2 entire loads of dirty laundry here at the house waiting for me. So basically I started my chores at -2 loads done...

I think last night was the best sleep I've had since the 3rd when I slept *too much* in compensation for crappy sleep before that. And that best sleep in nearly 2 weeks? About 6 hours, when I'm normally a zombie with anything under 7. Every night I wake up, sometimes to use the bathroom and sometimes for no apparent reason at all, and can't get back to sleep. Some days I take naps, which help a little, but it would be really lovely to just wake up feeling rested.

My cousins, aunties, and uncles coming through to visit since we live in the smack middle of the way between where all of our relatives live, so everyone stops for the night at our house halfway and then keeps going. Don't get me wrong, I like my family but they always make fun of me and I absolutely hate that. Ugh.

Videos that won't load! Earlier I tried to watch Supernatural, and gave up when I'd managed to see a minute and a half of it in the 15 minutes I'd been trying; now I've been trying to watch The Mentalist for nearly an hour, and have made it about 12 minutes in. Uggg.

Headaches. I've had too many the last few days. I suspect it has to do with the constant smoke at my dad's, so hoping my head will be better when I head back to school Monday.

Well, it took 14 years, but my daughter finally had her first negative experience with having 2 Moms. The mother of a friend Jordan invited to her birthday party said she wouldn't let the kid come over until she spoke to Jordan's Dad. The kid explained that she only had 2 Moms and the the woman flipped out. She said she wasn't "comfortable" and there was no way the kid was going to the party. Jordan said it was "something about Jesus and religion blah, blah crap like that." Jordan was upset, but not destroyed, because luckily she is not lacking in the friend department, the other million girls she invited are coming and were upset with the other kids mom for making Jordan feel bad.
