Nicky - congratulations on your new flat, and your suggestive if not downright naughty lift! I hope you'll (both) be very happy....

I am really happy because I'm gonna be an aunt.:) I have only one sister and it is her first child and the first time for me to become an aunt. But still 7,5 months to go before I can hold my little niece or nephew. :baby

Can't wait.

My younger brother and I have always had pretty good relationship, with an underlying rule that we're obligated to give each other as much trouble as possible. When he or I has stitches or surgery, the other is always there to make fun of them while they're on drugs. So my brother had his wisdom teeth out today, and boy are we having a good time. He's on enough meds that he cant feel his face, he's drooling everywhere and even cant drink water without spilling it everywhere. On top of that, he's STILL trying to smoke. Some people say he's addicted, he says he's dedicated.

Re-packing my stuff... again. Moving to Brigits on Friday, hold the U-Haul jokes, Dar's been giving me them for the past few weeks. Lots of moving lately, moved from dorm to home, and now from home to Brigits place. And in a few months it'll be from Brigits back to the dorm. Whew. But a good whew. Okay, an exstatic whew.

Today is a cool day... it's not the happiest day but something made my day and picked up my moods. Someone I love sent me a book that's one of her all time faves, along with a cd with some of her fave tune and her current photo. Looks like I've got something to pry me away from the computer at nights :) The book is The Ivory and The Horn by Charles de Lint. A book and nice music... what's better? :grin Anyway... I love it ! Thanks Desiree. :bigkiss

The next thing is that I entered a HP contest... wanted the 4 in 1 printer cos my printer's old and quality is getting bad, plus i need a fax machine too. Anway...i received a letter today... and i didn't win it. But I did win a backpack and thermos from HP. Well... better than nothing, no? At least now I can carry my bottle around and it stays cold without wetting my table and floor :lol

Hee; Shinnen, you're an example to us all of how to find pleasure in the small things. Although I have to admit, I'm suffering from some jealousy over the backpack and drink thingy. That sounds pretty nice, actually. E and I got a freebie gift pack at a hotel we stayed in in San Diego and I'm ashamed to say I comandeered it, brought it home for my parents, gave it to them and now I kind of want it back...sigh...

Oh, and I have a 3 in 1 hp, and it's wonderful. :)

Oh Ruth! My turn to be jealous! A 3 in 1... :spin i want that even if it's not a 4 in 1. :p

Anyway... tomorrow I'm picking up the backpack and thermos during lunch... popping my new book and cd into it ... and going to see my client good and proud :D

Well after not being able to access the net for nearly two weeks (unless drunk and trying not to trash a friend's laptop) I am very happy to be back on line. Oh and I have a shinny new laptop too. So I am happy, until I get my credit card bill. :rolleyes

Edited to add: Tonight I am off to see Girl's Aloud 'sing' or as my workmates put it jiggle around in next to nothing.

Ah Zoe, you're so lucky. Lovely lovely Sarah, and the girls with their patented "Girls Aloud Wiggle". Yum. I mean, who cares what kind of noise they make as long as they're wearing next to nothing and prancing around the stage, right? ;)

Speaking of, though, I actually like their music. Sure, it's not the most inspiring of stuff, but hey, it's pleasant enough.

Sigh. Girls Aloud. Sarah. And one day, she'll realise that I'm the girl for her. And I'll have to turn her down. Hee.

Have a great time tonight, Zoe. I want reports. Detailed ones.

Evening all,

I am chuffed little bunny tonight - just been to see Dance of Death in the West End starring Sir Ian McKellen and Frances De La Tour, and not only got our seats upgraded from balcony to Box A (right by the stage! :party ) for free - how I am not yet sure, my friend Andy swears blind it's because the usher fancied him but I have my own theories ;) ) , but I also got to meet Sir Ian McKellen afterwards, and I have to say he is a very gracious and pleasant man. A true gent :D

I've just had a very cool night out with my gf and one of my best friends, saw a very good production and got to meet Gandalf :grin How cool can life be?

Have a good night kittens,

~Lou

Wonderful Week

Postby mandyanyone » Sat Jun 07, 2003 6:54 am

Since Thursday the 29th, i have been in absolute heaven. See, my gf came over from England to visit me and things went remarkably well...ok ok understatement there...things were incredible, beyond belief. She is truly the best thing that has ever happened to me and i am so very lucky..(hush on that one sweetie)

We only had a short time together, but we made the most of it. Using all the time we had to the best of our abilities. She is truly the best thing that has ever happened in my life. I love her more than i could have ever thought possible. She is my everything, my world, my heart. And i am completely and utterly head over heals in love with her.

She unfortunately had to leave on Tuesday, and i miss her more than anything. Left me with a kind of empty feeling to be without her. Before she came we had an amazing connection, and were completely in love. We didn't think it could get any better than that, but it has. Our love has grown and the bond is stronger. I miss her more each day, but i know we'll be together again soon.

She is the love of my life and always will be.

I love you Sonya.

*blows kisses*

Very happy thing: I remembered why I like pride so much. Foam parties at clubs. Foam parties with scantily clad girls. After last night I came to a realization, there is a god, and this god likes me sometimes.

Good morning Kittens,

As you are no doubt aware, going to gigs is pretty much guaranteed to put a smile on my face and last night's Four Star Mary gig in Camden was an absolute blinder :grin

Not only did they play a damn fine set, including a cover of Duran Duran's Rio in the encore that had everyone shaking their ass and generally pogoing like demented kangaroos, but I got to meet the band after, they all signed my tour poster and I got a bear hug off of the lead singer :eek Was a bit shocked to say the least but very happy, even tho I had to endure some light hearted teasing about returning to boystown from my gf on the way home :lol

I have been having a very good time recently, I got to meet Sir Ian McKellen last week and now I get a bear hug off Tad from Four Star Mary. Methinks my gf is somewhat of a lucky charm :heart

Am also very happy in that I have 3 gigs to look forward to within 7 days of each other starting this Friday- you will be peeling me off the ceiling I think :whistle Train, Audioslave and Ghost of the robot here I come ;)

Have a good day Kittens,

~Lou

I'm still so incredibly jazzed after 2 days of the legality of same-sex marriages in my home province of Ontario, Canada.

I was listening to the radio this morning, and they spoke briefly to Kevin Bourassa, "who, with his husband Joe Varnell, is co-author of Just Married: Gay Marriage and the Expansion of Human Hights."

His husband. I was just teary-eyed on hearing that phrase used in a matter-of-fact way; and the stories of everyone going to the city clerk's office and getting their licences, scratching out 'bride' or 'groom' and writing in the oposite; and it's all just smacking me in the face, really. But in a good way. :applause :party :pride

I hope, some day, I will have a woman at my side that I can introduce as "my wife". :flower But, in the meantime, I'll live vicariously through my fellow Ontarians. It's been a long time coming, but goodness, it's worth it.

Dammit I post in here waaaay too much for my liking :lol

I just managed to get REM tickets for Brixton on 25th June (bearing in mind they sold out pretty much instantaneously a few weeks ago) :thud Methinks somebody up there likes me :bounce

God Bless Stargreen ticket agency! :blush And i get to see Train tonight with my bint and two of my best buds - yay! :party

Of course the cynical British bint part of me is now waiting for the bubble to burst as it is Friday the 13th, but for these blissful few seconds I shall love the fact I have many many gigs to go to and I don't care about credit card abuse :grin

Have a good day Kittens,
