Indiana Jones.

If you could pick one food to be the only thing you ate, 3 times a day forever, despite knowing you'd get tired of it eventually, what would it be?

Change out of my softball uniform. Pants and all. How I didn't die, I'll never know.

Are you most like Willow or Tara in your relationship?

Willow. Well, not exactly, because I have my Tara moments. Not exactly Tara-moments, but Tara-ish moments. It doesn't help that I do magic tricks. The witch jokes are getting old.

In light of the above babblefest, have you ever had to make up/bullshit an entire speech, if so, what?

So, so many! I would feel bad if it wasn't so exciting! Anyway, the best was probably a project for my color theory class that was supposed to be a group project. My group (as usual) ditched. I didn't realize what day it was due until five minutes before class, but I still stood up and managed an A level presentation. /end gloat

My best friend has known me for a decade, and she still puts up with me and still makes me laugh. She's adventurous but grounded, and can be as conflicted about what she wants out of life as I can, so she gets it. She gets *me*. She's smart and capable of being intellectual, but also loves to turn off her brain and read fluff or watch way too much TV. She reads like crazy and always gives me awesome book recommendations. She can be lazy but always works hard when she needs to. She tried really hard to stand on her own two feet, but generally accepts it when she can't. She brings out the best in me, making me be more active through the awesomeness of camping and hiking, getting me to read more by lending me books, yelling at me now and then to get my shit together. She's an amazing person with a huge heart, who's volunteered thousands of hours of her time and never fails to try to help a friend. She's one of the few people who seems to genuinely enjoy my company. She loves to play cards and do puzzles. She always tries to understand where I'm coming from, and never ever judges me. She gives me hugs when we're together and calls me just to chat when we're apart. One in a great while, she even turns to me when life is shit or she just needs someone to talk to. She's pretty much my favourite person in the universe.

What is your favourite thing about yourself?

I am awesome. Some call it cockiness, I call it confidence. But no, really? Being comfortable in almost any situation and getting along with almost everybody.

What is the strangest place you've ever fallen asleep?

No new games for now, because I am cheap and honestly can't be bothered to go to the store. However, moving out of the house, I discovered many old videogames from when I was younger that I wanna replay: Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, FullMetal Alchemist: Curse of the Crimson Elixir, Pokemon Colosseum, and I'm currently watching my buddy play through Buffy: Chaos Bleeds.

Ever had a moment that made you stop and think, 'Oh god, my life is sooo Sunnydale*?'

*Meaning outrageous, bizarre, hilarious, and just a little spooky.

If you had to brag about your town to a tourist what would be the selling point that you would talk about? :)

I would sell the small town charm with an amazing night life. For families with children, I would mention that 1 of the 3 remaining handcrafted Denzil Carosels happens to be located in this lovely town. It's fun for all ages. Who wouldn't want to attempt to catch the gold ring while spinning around on the ride of fun?

If you could relive any moment in your life, which moment would that be?

The Wassail song, "Here we come a wassailing among the leaves so green" etc. Why? It's about old tradition, friends and family and has a nice, bouncy beat!

What do you want/dream of happening for you in 2012?

Meeting my crush in person and taking her out for texting and scones, which will hopefully happen in about 6 weeks, finding a new job, starting a Midwifery program, spending lots of time with my family, especially my nephew, and knitting a scarf.

Society places a lot of emphasis on new beginnings. It's why people swear off cigarettes or to start a new diet on a Monday. I guess we think of a fresh start as the ability to be successful in things we haven't been before and we see the New Year as the ultimate fresh start.

In saying that, I've never in my life made a New Year's Resolution because the only time I've ever made a drastic change in my life is when I've woken up one morning and decided it's what I needed in my life, not because I thought I needed to because the date changed. But I'm all for whatever works for people.

For breakfast: Bacon or pancakes? (funny shapes available)
