Re: Problems with finding site

Postby xita » Tue Jul 08, 2003 12:15 pm

No that was a coincidence :P Though the people who host kittenboard.com charged me , they hadn't renewed the registration , they have now and supposedly it should be working within 12 hours. If it does not please tell me so I can let them know.

*UPDATE* froggyfrog.com/kitten/ is working again!! Thanks froggy! and kittenboard.com should be again soon.

I would always keep 2 of these urls around for if whatever reason one goes down.

Bump?

Postby Gatito Grande » Tue Jul 15, 2003 1:34 am

I just made a new post (to the Scary Religion thread), and the thread didn't bump to the top (older-posted threads stayed above it). What's up w/ that? :confused

GG I thought the threads were always in chronological order of last post (except for the sticky threads) Out

I don't know why. I just posted and deleted myself to bump it, but I saw what you saw. I sent in a request to have the board reordered. This happens a lot in pens and it makes me mad! blergh

Help please?

Postby Kerrison20 » Fri Jul 18, 2003 11:19 pm

I'm probably the only one that doesn't have a clue. I'm always the last to know.

Does anyone know what happened to extraflamey.com??

Thanks

The people hosting the files of extraflamey went out of business. Adrienne (scifiacid) owner of extraflamey was waiting for the files to be recovered, lacking a back up. Unfortunately it doesn't look good :( It will be back though, she does plan on finding new hosts for it.

Question about Charmed

Postby Jennpurr » Thu Aug 14, 2003 9:20 pm

I know there are fans of Charmed here, so I wanted to ask a question.

I was watching the other day and it was the episode where Prue dies and they have the funeral and meet Paige.

I know what demon killed Prue... it was the windy guy, but I didn't actually see what happened to her. Can someone tell me how she died?

I've been curious about that for a long time, but never asked how. And does anyone know why Shannon left the show?

Thanks in advance,

Jen

Postby rduffy24 » Sat Aug 16, 2003 12:43 pm

Ok - I've outed myself as a watcher of Charmed before, so here I go again.

At the end of the season, there's a lingering shot of both Prue and Piper dying, mortally wounded in the fight. The start of the new season merely had a brief conversation with Leo and Piper talking about how he could heal only one of them and bring them back to life as they were both so close to death - so he choose Piper. Which left Prue to die.

They don't actually discuss the death much, but they do talk about Prue a lot and did a good job of mourning her and keeping her memory alive in the series.

i do tend to read spoilers and stuff. This is a good site and there are a few others.

I have no idea if I posted that right - so if I haven't, I do apologise.

GG asks WTF?

Postby Gatito Grande » Fri Aug 22, 2003 7:46 pm

Hi, I hope some Kitten who's not as technologically retarded (esp. re: computers and the web) as I am can answer this question:

A number of times on this board (well, usually the Word Association thread), I'll reply to the last post, like *seconds* after I clicked on the page. Then, when the page comes up again (w/ my new post on it), several other "last posts"---sometimes from hours before!---will show up on it. How can this happen? If I've just clicked on a page, why wouldn't it have every post showing?

GG Tired of looking either like an idiot---or arrogant enough to have skipped over previous messages---when I go to post. :miff Out

Re: GG asks WTF?

Postby xita » Fri Aug 22, 2003 9:42 pm

I am thinking it's a cache issue. I am not sure which browser you use, but you should make sure it checks for a new version each time it views the page. I am guessing the main page is showing something in cache then it won't show the new posts even if you click on the last page in that thread because of the way ezboard displays their threads.

I would make sure to ctrl-r the page to get the newest version from the server, the main page that is, not the threads, that won't help there.

Question about location of information

Postby HOPE REIGNS » Wed Sep 10, 2003 5:34 pm

OK, I have a friend that is a fantastic and exciting singer/entertainer. She will be travelling from Cleveland Ohio to New York over the weekend of 19 (Friday) and the 20th of September and I would like to post the information for where she is going to be performing and throw in a hearty recommendation that all the New York Kitties get out to see her. I wasn't sure what thread to put it into though.

Thanx in advance for your help!! :) :)

Ok, I've been a member of the board since around April of 2002 and for the last week or so, I haven't been able to post and now that I can, I'm back to Blessed Wanna Be and my sig is missing. Color me confused. Does anyone know what could have happened? I've never had this problem before. I noticed it sometime last week when I tried to change my sig and my posts weren't showing up.

Love to All,

ETA: Do I need to post in the intro thread? I'm not being sarcastic I'm just very confused.

You are signed in as a global user. Looks like you got 2 accounts. One local and one global.

Try signing in here pub106.ezboard.com/btheki...and=318308

If that doesn't work change your password for the global account where you are now, and then log in with your old name and password at the link I just gave you.

Xita,

Thanks. I honestly have no idea how that happened. I changed the password, logged out and logged in again. I apparently have the same screen name in both accounts. As far as I've known, I've always been a local user. The only thing I've ever changed is my sig. If its possible, can you delete the global user? This is the only ezboard I go to so once again, color me confused.

Now I'm off to change my sig.

Thanks again. Sorry for any problems this might have caused.

EURO Question for all the European Kittens...

Postby SySnootles » Sat Sep 13, 2003 10:32 am

A friend of mine found a couple of Euros on the floor of the college where he works. He brought them in to show a bunch of people (including me), and we couldn't figure out who was on the 2 cent Euro piece. It was an older, paunchier gentleman with glasses. Almost looked like the American dime, but the guy was heavier. Does anyone know who is this dude? The guesses were: Winston Churchill, Francois Mitterand, and that press-conference dude from Iraq who kept saying "There are no Allied troops in the airport" while our tanks were rolling in behing him. I can't seem to recall his name at this time. So, any ideas?

I think you are talking about this coin: 2biz.de/euro-currency-pic...elgium.htm

That is King Albert of Belgium. England does not have euros btw, and the French never used (former) heads of state on their coins I think. Anyway, for those curious about what the euros look like in the 12 countries that use it, you can check them out on this site:

2biz.de/euro-currency-picture/coins.htm

I must say that I like just about all of the others better than the Dutch design. Bleh.

Well, I noticed lately that a lot of my fics are a bit everywhere on the net, so I decided to build a site to encompass them all. Of course, there is a W/T section, and also one about That '70s Show, a page about me, links, etc...

Anyway, I spent a couple of nights working on it (aka from 10 pm to like 8 am) and just when I got it done and thought I'd be able to host it on http://www.freewebs.com, they tell me that I can't upload more than 50 files, which means that a lot of my graphics can't be uploaded.

So, I was wondering if any kittens out there with big sites (domains) are looking for any hostees, and if anyone would host my tiny site. I'd need at most 10 or 15Mb of space, and FTP access.

You can view the... well, what is online of the site here:

Blood and Ink

Thanks a lot and email me or PM me if you're interested.

For the past couple of days, I keep getting three Internet Explorer Script Errors on every single page on the Kitten and not on any other site. It is always the same three errors: unexpected quantifier, 'ezForum' is undefined, and 'ezPage' is undefined. This has never happened before, and I don't know what it means. Is there something wrong with my computer or is there something wrong with the Kitten?
