My first name, Jessica, means wealth in hebrew.

That's funny to me in a crying kind of way... :happy

I love funny names. Mine isnt funny..but...

First: Jennifer- "Old French form of the Welsh name Gwenhwyfar, which is composed of the elements gwen meaning "fair, white" and hwyfar meaning "smooth". In Arthurian legend she is the beautiful wife of King Arthur. Her betrayal of her husband with Mordred prompted the battle of Camlann, which led to the deaths of both Mordred and Arthur. Later versions of the legends tell of her adulterous affair with Sir Lancelot."

Middle: Leanne- Combintation between LEE-"From a surname derived from Old English leah "meadow". The surname belonged to Robert E. Lee, commander of the Confederate forces during the American Civil War." and ANNE-French form of HANNAH. This is the name traditionally assigned to the mother of the Virgin Mary, though she is not mentioned in the Bible. The name was borne by a 17th-century English queen and also by the second wife of Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn (the mother of Queen Elizabeth I), who was eventually beheaded in the Tower of London. This is also the name of the heroine in 'Anne of Green Gables' by Canadian author L. M. Montgomery.

So much history in the name of someone who really DOESNT like history...its neat though.

To go with the animal names, my last name is Fox. Those dummies at Ellis Island messed it up from its Polish origins. Consequently, there are many members of my family nicknamed Fox and Foxxy, respectively. My cousin gets made fun of because it makes her sound like a porn star- Felicia Fox.
It's still a cool name, tho.
