The Texas star is right near the Oklahoma border. It's one of those "We saw Texas!" landmarks that you skim the border and get a picture of. We were coming back from visiting my sister in Galveston, so I personally have never lived there although a large portion of my family does. The scenery behind the truck is part of the Ozarks around Beaver Lake in Arkansas, about half an hour away from where we live. It's beautiful there, and the lake water is so clear that you can see the bottom even when it starts to get pretty deep.

Heya all!



I know I already posted… but I have one more pic to share. You see, yesterday was Purim (the Jewish equivalent of Halloween), and I took the chance to put up a little act of defiance. For my costume I dressed up like Tara after Seeing Red (complete with gunshot wound and angel wings), and walked around with a little explanation page on why killing Tara off was such a shitty idea. Ya know, the whole remembrancedefiance Tara-lives-on-in-my-heart thing. Most people laughed their asses off reading the explanation page and gave the costume a thumbs-up (although in any other way I looked dreadful…).



Anyway, I thought you guys might appreciate the gesture, so here's me dressed up as Tara. And this is me, Jesus, the Angel of Death and another friend.

While working on my theatre arts major, I'm taking a makeup class (femme that I am...it's heaven). The album has all my finals to date. The wounds look very real, even close up. I scared half the school walking from my class to my car. Tehehehee.
