Farewell Lauren Bacall. I wouldah followed you, that voice and those eyebrows anywhere.
Don't confuse me with your reasonableness.

They've been showing Aladdin with no commercials on the Disney Channel today, with a special slide at the end in memory of Robin Williams. I always thought this was his best role, like he never seemed to fit properly in the "real" world. Anyway, nice touch.

And Lauren Bacall? I know this makes me sound old, but I look around at actresses that are popular now and I wonder where the class went ...

The guy was 93 and had a hell of a good life, so you can't really be too sad about it ... but I'm very much going to miss seeing Christopher Lee in another movie. The guy was one of a kind.

David Bowie, just after he turned 69. This is terrible.

Wow ... maybe it's the shock of it, but this hit hard. Unlike a lot of other musicians, it seemed no matter what phase I was going through or what I happened to be feeling ... there was always a David Bowie song that fit, that I listened to. No matter how my tastes changed, I never quite stopped listening to him.

Rest in peace: the wonderful, incredibly witty, funny, irreplaceable Victoria Wood, 19 May 1953 – 20 April 2016.

This year we have suffered some really huge losses. From David Bowie to Glenn Frey, then Prince, Gene Wilder, Garry Marshall, Florence Henderson, Alan Thicke, George Michael and many more. I thought nothing could be as bad as losing David Bowie and Glenn Frey within a week of each other, but I was wrong. Losing Carrie Fisher one day and then Debbie Reynolds the next...absolutely tragic. In every sense of the word.

I'm with you Shelby; I know I was particularly touched that David Bowie knew he was dying and put so much energy into living his life on his own terms.
