I just bought my niece a couple Laurie Berkner Cds off Amazon. If you don't know already Laurie Berkner is the best children's music writer/singer in the business today (that was my own personal opinion hehe) excluding Tom Chapin of course, cause he's king of the kiddie song. :|

but seriously, if you have young children (ages 1-7) you should check her out. Buzz Buzz and Under a Shady Tree are the two best albums ever!

Just had a dinner party with some of the most fantastic people...had one glass of wine to many and am feeling rather cheery.

Was told copious amounts of times about how hard it was to come out ten, fifteen, twenty years ago and am feeling rather humbled by the fact that these women I had dinner with helped pave the way for peope like me,

Im a lucky girl,

Oh and snuggling with my beutiful cat that I missed SOOO much while i was away,

Enjoying a much-needed day off from work at home as I do laundry and wait for the termite inspector.

The much-needing of the day off from work comes from quite a busy work week, which is the reason, dollface. But don't you fret, I'm not gone from yahoo forever of course.

Rejoicing in Sally's statement of course. In a happy "just being together" state with my gf, whom I haven't seen since Tuesday ... which is already rare because we don't usually see each other during the week. And worried about whether Car's "sleep good" status message on YM is correct cos she should be on the train and not possbily oversleeping (may be sleeping good on the train?).

I'm drinking a diet Coke while on the phone with the homeowner's insurance company and chatting with Car. After I get off the phone I'm going out to do a wee little bit of yard work.

I'm sitting here waiting to ride Rita out. The hurricane that is. :-D Due to work constraints, we were unable to evacuate in time. So, now we're stuck here, just waiting for the power to go out; the wind and the rain. This afternoon, we waited in line behind about 40 cars to get gas. It was the only gas station open in town. My g/f said she feels like we're living in a Steven King novel.

I am feeling reluctant to post, because I saw that I have 523 posts, which is the exchange for the phone number I had growing up in Ohio.

However, all things must end, and this too shall pass, and sic transit gloria mundi. So I'm posting.

Today I was helping thirty eight kids make screen prints on tee-shirts and pillow cases, I got a little carryed away and made my shirt look all pritty,

Ok imagine,
a worn, ripped, painted on army tee, with a GORGOUS wee print of a helecopter on the bottom, ( a wee little six year old drew it and I had to give him my last piece of gum for a copy-He's going to be a good lawyer)
with a huge grey barcode print up by the neck with the words...(yes I borrowed them of a bumper sticker) *Let Wynona shop* over it,

well anywho I love it, Im just sitting here admiring my and my six year old friends art work, it was a bloody productive day, that im going to repeat tomorrow, I LOVE working in holiday programes,

Happy vibes to all,

Sare :bounce :bounce :bounce

After mowing the lawn, I'm now watering it (with the sprinklers, not by hand) and drinking water. Trying to decide: Costco run, then highlight hair and shower, or highlight hair and shower, then Costco run?

Perhaps I should post that in the Either/Or thread and let the kittens decide.

well...now I'm kinda thinking that the vague thought I had a couple weeks ago is true....

Sally really does have an unhealthy fixation on lawn care..... :lol

Trying to decide: Costco run, then highlight hair and shower, or highlight hair and shower, then Costco run?

I say there should be a third option... how about shower, Costco and then highlight hair....

ETA: I'm sure that after reviewing all the options at length, you'll discover that mine is the level headed choice :lol
