Lyra's Oxford by Phillip Pullman....I just finished the His Dark Materials trilogy (The Golden Compass etc.) So I want to read all of his books with the same characters even though this one is teeny

Friends brought us mother's day presents last night. I got Confessions of the Other Mother which is all essays by non-biological mom's. It's quite good.

I also joined goodreads.com. If anyone wants to be "friends" send me a PM or if you already know my e-mail, just friend me there.

I'm reading A Stroke Of Midnight by Laurell K. Hamilton. It's about sexy faeries or something... Sera said that it was better than the Anita Blake novels that I tried to read and now I'm agreeing with her :kgeek

Oh, and I'm also reading The Idiot :peace

*le sigh* I stayed up until 2am finishing my re-read of the last Harry Potter book. It was just as good the second time. But even more depressing knowing it's over. I mean, I'm part of the generation that was the first to grow up with it-same age as Harry and it's like BOOM. childhood over.

Fuck it, I'm starting the first one all over again this afternoon.

I'm really getting into the Fruits Basket and Hana-Kimi manga series. I love shoujo. :)

The Professor and the Madman by Simon Winchester. It's fascinating.

Actually, I think Alcy would really like it.

Rediscovering Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap and other plays and feeling as enthralled as the first time I had read it.

I was reading this but then my dog died and I had to stop...I think it may be one of those books I never finish because I was reading it when we were waiting at the emergency room when this all started...kinda like the book I bought to read on the plane when my ex and I split up...never finished that either...too bad though cuz I was liking Dog in the Night-time

a dutch translation of Buckland's complete book of witchcraft. It was a birthdaypresent a couple of years ago but I've decided to study it now (instead of just reading and skipping parts)

And I just found out it's dedicated to Tara. Funny coincidence lol

Autobiographie d’un éveil - Kundalinî by Gopi Krishna or the relations of the experiences of a man who managed to awaken this coiled energy and attain enlightenment.

I took the book as I had a flashback on good times spent at school studying Yoga philosophy with the girls but also because previously, I had always gone by the thought that with kundalinî came the instant release of the soul. This might have been a piece of erroneous information as back then, it was such a difficult concept to understand and a real challenge. My curiosity has been piqued once again...

Here is the site in English.

Dreamhunter by Kiwi author Elizabeth Knox, a young adult book that's very good.
Also Brothers in War - the story of 8 brothers who fought in WWI and five died...very sad.
