The all purpose happy feelings thread

I saw my sister tonight, for the first time since Christmas (which was before her mental health trauma of late), and she seems to be doing well. Her new meds are mellowing her out and allowing her to focus, she was able to be social for a long stretch of time without having to hide away, she's been sleeping (which is practically a first for her, since she's had insomnia since she was 3 or 4), she was really open with talking about what's going on, she's doing her schoolwork, and she just seems... okay. I'm not used to seeing her act that okay for a whole evening; it's an adjustment but a wonderful one.

today I´ll spend 6 hours in a bus and tomorrow morning I´ll be with her... I´m really worried about tomorrow, but she´ll be there, so, it´s fine ^^

Eh, be prepared to have to fill up the ESTA in the plane again. I don't know if they're organized now, but last year it was supposed to just be the internet ESTA and I still had to fill it up in the plane. No worries, though.

Have fun in Texas when you go. I went in 2008 and was a great trip apart from the travel agent unbeknown to me had booked me onto a full flight and I had to wait for someone to give up their seat not cool when it's your first flight and a connecting flight.
I really hope your Supervisor allows you time off work so you can go and visit your gf.

I don't have to be cold anymore see I never said anything on the board ( dont want to be a pain) and I never complained that much to Sandi but its been super cold here more the normal. We did not have heat in the truck so everyday I would get in the truck and drive to work 30 mile round trip I would freeze. I would lose feeling in my hands and feet so fucking cold. so my happy feeling is WE HAVE HEAT!!!!

The first box in my 'send one box of stuff a month to my girlfriend for however many months until I move there' plan is almost ready to mail. I know it's a little silly/ridiculous to start sending my things when I won't move for close to a year at best, but it helps me feel like I'm doing something to bring us closer to being together. Plus I just love the idea of some of my things being there, of it really being our place.

I'm going on a date tomorrow. It's the second date I've been on since my last relationship (ended in April, lasted 2 years). The first woman I dated after the break up I wasn't too interested in.

I'm crazy nervous and hope I make a good impression. I've been fortunate enough to find somebody in my area that is accepting of me.
