Cheating whores
There's a moment when I look at you. And no speech is left in me.
My tongue breaks, then fire races under my skin.
And I tremble, and grow pale. For I am dying of such love.

I don't know if this is a peeve or a rant. My car automatically locks itself all the time. It's the first car I've had with automatic door locks and it's like rabid about it. It locks the doors in the garage. It locks the doors when you stop the car or put it in geer. It locks the doors when you open the trunk! Peeve!

ppl with little time for others, thay tell all there problems and not look at the bigger picture but expect everyone to understand there own, I think that is annoying and while thay should be treated with compassion and respect I also believe it is kinder to try and help them look at the whole situation and not just there own as this will help them in later life, we owe it to each other to help ppl see even if that is seeing what we don't want to look at ourselfs, it's the only way we will learn and become better ppl.

I hate people who thinks being gay is cool (or easy!). I mean, it isn't a defect nor a quality. you don't want to be gay as you don't want to be hetero...you just are!!! how can someone want to become gay and act in public as if they were to make them really think they are?? it pisses me of to no end...if you are gay then be proud of it, if you aren't don't play with it 'cause I don't want this people to think I'm just trying to be popular here. OK? I am the one who talked to my parents who has been called lesbian for no reason for years..the one who doesn't talk about the most important person in her life in front of her mates....and you just kissed a lesbian and act like if you were the coolest girl in class because of it. and in addition you take me out of the closet without asking!!!! it's just impossible..really....it can't be real...I..uh...sorry ...I'm too upset ..I just..needed to let all that crap out.

Ok. Here's my current peeve: People who say that something is "literally" something. Like they say that something is "Literally making my head explode" or they "Literally have worked every second for the last three months!" Those are metaphors and hyperbole! Not literal.

Ok. that's it.

My current pet peeve is political. Funny how for eighteen months all the liberals out there have been on Al Gore's ban wagen on global warming. He even receiced an oscar for his movie on the subject. Then there is talk about him running again and two of the same publicans that were his biggest supporters attacks his views over global warming. It is just strange on the overnight change.

Okay, here is my pet peeves!

Don't you just hate it when you have like 30 people waiting in ONE cue but there are like THREE other workers just standing there chatting with each other when they could be there opening 3 tills so people can get served quicker! That just annoys me, big time ...

My wife has a habit that makes me crazy. She will see that I'm doing something and ask me to do something totally different. So I'm cleaning the bathroom and she comes in and says, "Hey can you take out the trash?" or something like that. Tonight she wanted me to write up a letter for her while she was at the pool only I have no idea what the letter needed to say or anything.

The random gray hairs on my head. I mean... ok, I don't want to sound too full-of-myself but my hair is one of my favorite features. It's black. Really black or very very very dark brown and thick and very short so it's very noticable. I think that anyone who meets me will remember my hair. But now I've got 15-20 damn white hairs that are really visible. I'm too proud to dye it but I want it black, not salt and pepper.

My sister's husband leaves food in the oddest places. The other day he had a hotdog and never finished it and put it on top of a speaker that's next to the couch, in a lil corner no one pays attention to. Two days later I'm wondering why the hell it smells like ketchup over here, so after some searching I find the hotdog and throw it out.

So, pet peeve? People who leave their food out and don't throw it away. Ick.

My dog doesn't have a lot of disgusting habits but she eats garbage from the can (and strews it all over the room).

Excuse the gross but she particularly loves used kleenexes.

My biggest pet peeve is complaining. (It's such a hypocritical pet peeve, too, because by mentioning it you usually end up complaining and doing the exact thing you don't like others doing.) Second to that is aggressive drivers. Third is people who talk during a performance or at times when they are required to be silent (i.e. the audience during a show, or performers backstage in the wings before they go on).

my sisters cat will use her paw to get the used q-tips out of the trash can from the bathroom and play with them. she doesn't want the clean ones only the dirty ones. it drives me and my mom insane because then we have to go and pick up the q-tip from wherever she left it and put it back in the trash can.

People who refer to watching their own kids as babysitting. If your wife usually watches the kids and you are doing it at the moment, that's not babysitting. The other day my friend told me that she was "babysitting" her new son. Not only is he her kid but her wife was just in she shower so it's not even like there was a great deal of responsibility.

steps that are too wide to take in one stride, but not wide enough to take 2 full steps. I feel awkward and a bit gimpy trying to walk up or down those steps. I've been known to take the long way to use different steps on campus

One: My straight friends who have kissed more girls than I have!

Two: Girls who are only with other girls for the attention of boys and then, in turn, make it impossible for any SERIOUS lesbian relationships to be taken seriously. I mean, even kissing in public, instead of being seen as the traditional sort of 'turn a head away in digust', which I'll admit is bad anyway, but its now worse when all the guys in the area are making an effort to perve on the girls kissing for their own disgusting pleasure! It's horrible! And, guys constantly asking for threesomes as soon as they hear you're with another girl, when clearly, hello! LESBIANS!... why the hell would we want you involved?! ...It's like we have to be afraid not to do anything or say anything around guys about being gay... not because they won't accept it... because they will embrace it way TOO much and use it for their own gross pleasure!... ugh... sorry... very touchy subject lol moving along now...(also apologies to any guys who are upstanding type gentleman and dont fit in with this criteria lol i know there are some out there)...

Three: The temporary loss of creative muse.

Four: Indecisive people who hurt others in the process of finding themselves.

You are on the subway. It is not your stop. The door opens and you are standing right in front of it blocking the masses who want to exit. You look around you in confusion as though the proper action in this situation were not so glaringly obvious it makes me want to weep and throw things. Just step off the train and let the hordes of people out. Two steps. That's all. I swear you will make it back on before the good 'ol F to Coney Island leaves the station. Really, truly, I swear it.
And next time I will heave you bodily from the train.

People who call the sperm donor the baby's "father." I know, it's my glitch (isn't this the pet peeves thread). But it really bugs me. It's not just ignorant morons either. One of my best friends says it all the time even though she knows us and another lesbian couple with a child. And my step-mother (who is a lesbian) says it too. I don't want to directly correct them because they'd probably feel really shitty but whenever they say it, I then answer the question and say "the donor" so I thought they'd pick it up but they don't. And other people say it too. He's not the father! He's a donor. Don't get me wrong: I'm so so so incredibly grateful to him because for whatever reason he decided to be a donor, I get to have a baby, but that doesn't make him a father.

End peeve (perhaps this should have gone in rants)

Ok, my pet peeve is this: When people (always guys) call other guys "girls" or "ladies." It's incredibly obvious that it's meant as an insult but isn't that insulting? I mean they're trying to show that the guy is beneath themselves by calling them women. What does that mean they think of women? It bugs me.

NPR did a story on (straight, of course) women who utilize sperm donors. They said it was a pretty common fantasy that these women sometimes create this 'story' for themselves about who the donor is and what kind of father he would be, etc. But *other* people thinking of it that way? Weird. I can understand this peeve.

My pet peeves:
- gum-chewing
- people who stand in the middle of aisles in stores and block your way obliviously
- junk mail
- people asking 'are you okay?' when you trip and fall, stub your toe painfully, bang your head on something, etc. - no, I'm not okay - see me holding my head? not okay! I'm not sure what an alternative to 'are you okay?' would be, but that question seems like a dumb way to show concern
- people who think I'm being 'in their face' about my sexual orientation at the mention of my partner in any context, whereas they can wear a wedding ring, show family photos, talk about 'trying to get pregnant' and so forth, and they're not putting their sexuality in my face

Maybe this was more of a rant too...

Year 12... The hopes of your entire schooling life, resting in results of ONE YEAR! The system is seriously screwed... you suffer at school for 13 years and only ONE of them counts for anything in the long run...

That's where I got screwed. I got really sick that year, and my GPA went to crap. Doesn't matter now, not going to college, and I've got a high paying job. Fixing computers for a small company is amazing. I'd like to go to college one day. It'll probably be an art school because they don't care about GPA, and I want to get into filmmaking.
