Haha well I haven't written anything on here in a long time. I still think about a Willow/Tara story I started 8 years ago, but I haven't made any progress on it in a year or two. If you're a Babylon 5 fan though, I've got a number of stories on fanfiction.net.


OT: It's 10:30 and I'm still in my pjs; I have tons to do this weekend, but it feels great to have a lazy start!

A complete stranger did something super kind for me today, and when I said—totally taken aback—that I felt special because of it he replied, "You are." How wonderful to give someone that gift. I hope that I can make someone feel that way some day.

I am among good people here in Colorado. I really love my friends and spending time with them. You know even if you're far apart you have to trust that things won't change. That you make the effort for each other to sustain friendships. I can go awhile without seeing most of my friends, but when I do nothing is different. We treat each other the same on all levels. It's the power of love. A lot of my friend's have kids who all call me Aunty Jenny and for whatever reason end up loving me. I saw my friend's kid today and he rushed over to me and yelled out my name and hugged me. When I was leaving to say goodbye he wouldn't let me go. I was truly touched by that and thought it was sweet.

I made a 96 on my exam this morning! I still have most of the class to go, but for now I have an A so I am very happy. Next test will probably be harder, but at least I'm off to a good start. Considering how rare A's are in Nursing, I'm thrilled

Today my boss and I were talking about kids/parenthood and in reference to my eventual motherhood she said "hopefully you'll have a partner" and I just loved that she didn't say 'husband' or make any indications that such a partner would be male. I suppose I'm not officially out at work simply because there's never been a conversation where it felt relevant to announce my sexuality (and why should I have to?) but I haven't hidden it either and I've dropped a few hints; whether she's picked up on my implications or simply didn't want to assume I have no idea, but either way it made me happy.

So many things in my life has been steering in the direction I had hoped for. Some things are going to take time until it reaches it's full potential. One of the most important things in my life is to have a woman by my side who I can create my Utopia with. I am trying to live the dream baby. I am not a pessimist so I believe I can have certain things a certain way. The subject of love and romance can only work if I have someone who believes in the same things I do. Who is as into me as I am her. Mi koibito you make me so happy and I know all the things I ever wanted in a woman I have in you. I knew this from the moment I met you four years ago. Our timing was bad then, but it's not now.

10 hours later it isn't broken at least, just severely strained. Apparently I have miracle bones because its the second time I've stumped doctors on why a bone of mine didn't break in the last year. I'm even happy to have to use crutches or a cane considering the alternative. And I managed to smooth things over with my wife who was understandably terrified. I'm sure it will be even more smoothed later because they have me on a muscle relaxer and a painkiller and once they both kick in I imagine loopiness because its warned on the bottle. I'm sure she'll get tons of laughs.

I just took apart one of my DSLR cameras to replace the viewfinder with a custom piece I bought last week. I put it back together and IT STILL WORKS PERFECTLY!!

It's a freakin' Christmas miracle!!!

So happy that we have a dog gate that makes noise when our child gets up and comes in our room when he should be asleep. Why happy? Because Rachel thought she locked the door and she didn't and we were busy (yes. Boom chick wow wow) when we heard the gate.

Fun night with the teenagers tonight:) We took the them out to eat, then we did some driving lessons in the jr high parking lot and then we all went for a long walk with the dogs. The driving was hilarious! We're teaching them to drive stick...my wife's poor car!!! lol

I met so many wonderful celebrities this weekend, Doctor Who folk mostly but also James Marsters for the 3rd time, and I saw several lovely panels--again mostly Doctor Who but also a Buffy one with James Marsters, Clare Kramer, Nicholas Brendon, James Leary, and George something--the guy who played Adam. Plus I caught glimpses of Nichelle Nichols (Lt. Uhura) and Ming-Na Wen (Melinda May)! And I got autographs and a picture, and I got to wear fun costumes (and have a little girl get very excited when she saw me cause I was *the Doctor*, and her mum was very proud that she knew me from the scarf), and one of the bestest parts was I spent the weekend with my old roommates--including roommate's kid whom I hadn't seen since before I moved away a year and a half ago.

I also had a fantastic time at a different Con with a different friend last weekend, meeting Firefly cast, and tomorrow I (probably, hopefully) get to see my nephew and one of the two sisters I haven't seen yet this trip. I was getting worried I wouldn't be able to see the little one, cause everyone in my family is an utter mess right now, but it looks like I will and I'm very excited for that

This is the first year I've ever finished school and been genuinely excited to go back. I can't wait for senior year! But I am also really looking forward to this summer! Too many good things! Oh, and I have a really pretty BtVS art print coming this week in the mail.

I am still as desperately in love with my wife as the day I met her across that fence 2 years ago. 9 months of marriage has not diminished a single bit of it. She's the most amazing woman I have ever met and she never ceases to amaze me. I'm nearing 30 years old in less than a year and a half and I've done and been a lot of things in my time, some I'm proud of and some I'm terrifyingly ashamed of but somehow I still got lucky. Somehow I still found my light in the darkness and there isn't a day that goes by that I'm not thankful for every second. She makes me realize exactly why I was always searching before I met her. I was searching FOR her, for this life I now lead. I never knew I could love like this. I always thought I knew what it meant to fall in love but to be honest if you're not terrified you're not doing it right. You should be terrified every single day, terrified to your soul. My wife and I, the best part of it is we can never let each other settle for the worst version of ourselves. We wake up everyday and break ourselves down into all that we can be for each other, the best we can be for each other and that's a commitment worth marrying for. Worth forever for. And I'm so happy that my forever is with her.

I'm sure it will fade soon, but at least for today I'm in a really "up" mood. After weeks of feeling shit, it's so nice to be laughing and feeling pretty happy. I've been writing a lot this week and I think it's helping--I mean it's eating up my life, but it makes me feel accomplished, especially when I get a comment that I made someone cry like I did today. I tend to have a fairly low opinion of my writing, so realizing I actually affected someone is a big WOW for me, and it felt really good.
Tomorrow reality will be back and I'll have to face up to the studying I need to do and the general bleh that is my life, but for tonight things don't suck.

1. our office gave us 1/2 day off for 7/3 which is literally unheard of.
2. They told us 3 days in advance - also unheard of.
3. My friend stopped me in the hall and asked if I had checked the mailroom because they put people's raise notices in there. I don't usually check more than a few times a month and I didn't expect a raise because I got 2 last year. But there it was. 5% which is huge! It was a great way to start the long weekend.

For better or worse, summer session is nearly done! I'll have about a month off, and though I won't get to visit home my mum is coming to town for a couple days and I haven't seen her since Thanksgiving. Sure she'll be helping me move which means we'll be busy, but there will still be some hanging out time, and I'll have an apartment again which will be glorious. I'm also going to use the time to write, learn to make fanvideos, finish at least 2 of the 3 books I've been reading for ages, catch up on Game of Thrones and Orange is the New Black, and probably start a new show. It's gonna be awesome!

Also really relieved to realize that I am in no danger whatsoever of failing Pharmacology, though I could still wind up with a C. Still, given the number of people that have already withdrawn and the number of my classmates who are on their second try, just knowing I'm going to pass is a relief.
