I actually get to KISS my bestfriend (and not get stubble rash!) and it turns out girls are very good kissers, so less time is spent trying to cover up the red patches with foundation, so more time for kissing! yay! :blush

And I love my drama *fakes a swoon* :D

I must add just being able to say "she's my girl" is a very nice thing *swoon* Along with all those perks like soft cuddles and kisses.

I can't really comment on the perks seeing as I'm not gay. But I would like to say this thread is full of hysterical posts. But judging by the various responses, I do think the title of the thread should be something more like "The perks of being a lesbian." I don't mean to split hairs but many of the perks cited would apply to a hetero male's perspective. I'm not saying I feel disrespected or marginalized. I just think many of the perks mentioned are not exclusive to gays. I'm not trying to repress anyone's right to voice their opinion. I was just hoping to see more instances that are applicable only to a homosexual relationship. That's just my two cents.

mouheheheh you really want me to make a list?:D :D :D

Doh.. finally, if I *try* to forget all the bad things I could say about mens in this list (not that I don't like mens.. Most of my friends are men.. :p okay maybe that's why I'm lesbian! kidding :rofl ) it won't be too long.. ;) and I'll just list the most important, for me ;)

- Okay even my heterosexual friends (girls I mean) admits that a woman is MUCH more beautiful than a man :D

- curvy, :drool ya know what I mean :D

- the SMELL (and I mean everything ..) perfumes, *natural* scents, etc .. ooh this one is my favorite

- you can talk after lovemaking :p LOL

- they don't talk about your sex-life with their friends !@#

- nights of lovemaking.. and when I say night.. I mean.. NIGHTS! never can't get enough ;)

- there's a thread talking about it.. hands. :drool ;)

- they know EXACTLY (or they have a freaking good idea) what you want and what you need :D

- never have to watch what you say because you fear to bruise the "manly-ego" :p

- you don't have to throw your babe out of the house when you want a "girl night" with your girly friends :D

- the maternal instinct that makes her your personnal nurse whenever you're sick ;)

and all the ones that you all mentionned before:D

Well, for me personally, it's gotta be the whole 'no penis' thing, that's really working good for me. :) Including the added plus of being already familiar of the 'equipment', not worrying about condoms and birth control pills, and having a beautiful, stunning girl in your arms to call you're own. Not that I have much experience, but here's hoping...

Anyhoo, that's my two cents...peace :peace

Oh, and I'm kinda new here, this is my second post (aside from the introduction post) So if I hadn't said hi...:wave

Smell...

Postby Jennpurr » Sun Mar 16, 2003 12:03 am

I'll have to agree with a couple of other people and say that I just love the smell of a woman. WOW... :drool

From just plain old soap, to lotion, to perfume... all of it is wonderful. Smell alone can make me go ga-ga. :thud And there's something about women wearing mens cologne that just makes me... crazy, to no end.

Then, there's also the warmth and feel of a woman while hugging them or holding them. :heart Love it!

Lisa, I have to agree with you on the breasts thing though. I'm talking Amber size or Jennifer Love-Hewitt. I don't like Anna-Nicole or Pamela Lee size breasts. There's just something about that size that makes me, I don't know... Give me Amber or Alyson anyday. :drool

Jen

Edited: Scott,

Maybe this is something you were looking for? I think one of the best things about being a lesbian, is knowing that no matter what I do or where I go, we take care of each other. And I'm not just speaking about women, I'm speaking about the gay community as a whole. I've never felt more loved, than when I'm with my, "family."

There are obvious draw backs to being gay/lesbian, but I wouldn't change/trade it for the world. I'm proud to be who I am. :)

Karens boobs!!!!!

Postby fairydust » Sun Mar 16, 2003 3:24 am

*high fives Jennpurr*

I have to agree with the boobs as a perk...Karens cleavage is just:drool *ahem*

Also, a perk is that I can have friends sleep over, no matter if they are a girl or a guy. And my parents dont assume all my gal pals are mf gf's, so, with karen, they'll let her sleep in my bed too;) we'll be good, i swear it:whistle

I think also a huge perk is that no matter what, we know eachother. We've been thru a lot of the same things, and we are always there for eachother. We know how to comfort eachother when its that time of month, and we know what feels good, and when it feels the best during love making.

My biggest perk is getting to be with karen tho. I am wonderfully happy with my life being built around her. I cant wait to grow old with her. oh, and did i mention I am a breast girl too:p Karen has great boobs:evil :p :whistle :drool :grin

They are so much nicer than men in every way! :grin

Apart from the obvious physical attributes there is also the "just knowing" that happens between women.

What more can I say? I think this thread has just about covered it all. :)

I think because women are so much more open with their emotions, and feelings, it allows us to feel closer to each other.

When two women are together, the looks, and touches between them seem so connected. You can almost "feel" her without even touching! *sigh*

Oh, but touching is just sooo much better :grin Hands!!:thud

NO need to be sorry! The Day of Silence is a national day for GLBT rights where you abstain from talking for the day. I do it every year. I have started to get some recongnition. It get people curious-many of my friends didn't know much about the GLBT community until I did the Day of Silence last year and they started to ask questions. They are now active members--one girl discovered she was a lesbian! So, all-in-all it is a very good learning experience. I throulghly enjoy it.

Ok, two questions. 1, what day is the day of silence? 2, is there one of those unspoken rules that those too young to know or straight cannot participate? Thanks ^^

MellindraX~See my last post above for "what is the day of silence?" As for an "unspoken rule" I haven't ever heard of one! I am only 13 so as far as age goes I don't think there is a limit. And many of my friends who participate are straight. It is just to show your support for equal rights. And me and my buds all believe in that--whether they be gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered or straight. It is really a wonderful experience.

~Tash xoxo

PS: The Day of Silence is on April 9th this year for those of you who want to participate!
