Hi, I live in Atlanta (recently moved here), and don't know anyone here interested in BTVS- or should I say "Tara and Willow?" My gf doesn't care for them-sigh.



If i'm correct, wasn't there "Salix" who posted on the older Kitten board and lived in Atlanta?

I live in Atlanta, so welcome! I don't know if you've ever been to Dragon-Con, but it's an excellent convention that happens at the end of August. Amber was supposed to be here last year, but had to drop it at the last minute. Dunno what her plans are for this year.



There is also a gay/lesbian sci-fi group here in atlanta called outworlders. I'm not a member yet, but I am on their email list, so if you're interested, I'd be glad to pass along the info..

I was talking with Garner, who will be visting Chicago within the next month, and we had talked about getting together. The thought occured that why not ask other Chicago/Illinois kittens if they want to :



a. Bar hop Boystown ( Local gay hot spots)

b. Do a book shop meeting, such as the Michigan Ave. Borders

c. Dinner/Maybe a Buffy night and watch our favourite WT moments?

I have a slight complication that I hope to clear up by next week. I have been called to Jury duty and it says I am supposed to be on call all of June! If my luck is up to snuff I would get plane tickets for a Thursday flight and wind up on a trial lasting through Friday or something like that.

ACK! All these people in my hometown and where am I? Stuck in this bunghole of a place in Texas!! Diana and I live about five hours from Albuquerque and four hours from Santa Fe. I am SO jealous of you two because I miss Philly so much that it drives me nuts. I miss concerts at the Mann, even the Trocodero (no concert experience is complete if you haven't dealt with the wild people at the Troc or Revival).



And you guys get to see Amy and Emily at the Mann. I think I'll got out in my yard and get the rattlesnake that lives in our shed. This is just too heartbreaking. Hope you all have fun and give a hoot and holler to the Girls for those of us poor saps living out here in the desert.

And I have a suggestion for what to do. This past weekend I went to a place in my new neighborhood (Edgewater/Andersonville)called Moody's Pub. It was gay, straight and family friendly, and had an outdoor beer garden that I fell in love with. It seemed a good place to have a group conversation. And did I mention the beer garden?

Hey, I love beer gardens and this place sounds great! I love the description from the info WW posted. I also am a huge burger eater so this sounds great! Neat choice, I say lets go with it!



One question though, how easy is it to get there? Is there an "L" line that goes anywhere nearby? Which one?



I hope that as many Chicago kittens as possible can make this, it should be a lot of fun!

Following my post above, there is a possibility of a gathering on the weekend of the 31/08/02 - 01/09/02 in, or around Stamford (which is in Lincolnshire, 90 miles North of London via A1(M)).



So I will keep you all posted, if anyone iss interested. To sweeten the deal, I am shouting everyone a round of drinks, so be there if you are thirsty.

I'm sorry about stepping back from organizing, but dinner and beer at Moody's sounds great. I was there this summer and the burgers were amazing. Not much of a beer drinker, but they had pretty good mixed drinks too.

We'll I'm a Houston Kitty traveling to Toronto with a friend on business the last week of June. As my luck tends to go, i'll be leaving the weekend before Toronto Trek 2002 (So close to Amber, yet so far )



But looking on the bright side we will be there for Pride 2002



Suggestions on places to go and fun things to do in Toronto would be greatly appreciated.
