What Did You Dream Last Night?

I had a dream that I was on the X factor but that I was friends also with the Websters in Coronation street- a popular British soap and I had to do Maroon 5's This love and yet I was freaking out because I didnt know the words- I always know many words to songs especially ones I love so that was weird and then halfway through I changed the lyrics to "she will be loved" and then I thanked everyone and I still got four yes responses hahaha go dream me LOL.

I had a running dream. I was running and running and it was so smooth and easy. It was my first running dream.

I had a weird high school dream. Something about a reunion and even though we were all in our 40's...we looked exactly the same. I even had acne! Probably because I had a huge zit earlier this week, I put some windex on it...but that's a whole different story, lol. Anyway, it turned into this action dream and suddenly I was like a spy or something. Then this kid used her Dad's ham radio to broadcast an emergency message that threw the town into total chaos and we had to basically save the day. It was kinda fun!

Well night before last I dreamed that I had a pet lion. And while roughhousing with the lion (who was rather boringly named Leo), it suddenly occurred to me that I should probably be a little more careful. I mean, my head was right next to those big strong jaws. I wish I could remember the rest.

Last night I dreamed that I was back in high school (except I was still my current self) and was being forced to perform in this awful uniform. I tried to leave the auditorium, only to be yelled at and chased by the director. I ran out into the halls when I found myself suddenly running into Anna Ternheim. We goofed off, I spazzed out since I have the hugest crush on her, and we generally got into shenanigans in the school hallways. I wish I could remember more of that dream, but my sleep kept getting interrupted and it got harder and harder to pick up where I left off. It's a darn shame.

I dreamt that I was back in Vegas and riding in a water limo. It was like Venice and the streets were canals. It took place sometime in the future and the boat/limo I was riding in belonged to a friends brother. It had a giant neon light billboard attached, like a digital tv screen thingy at a stadium, that played porn videos..the future was kinda weird. Anyway, I was a healer of sorts and was on my way to "the other side of town" to help out with the aliens. Yes, you read that right...aliens. Apparently, it was kinda like the movie Total Recall where the mutants were banished to Mars and forced to live in poverty. Well, the aliens were banished to the shitty part of Las Vegas, lived in poverty and were treated badly. They were peaceful and gentle creatures that had an exoskeleton and were susceptible to human viruses. Apparently, once they separated or shed their exoskeleton...they died. And if it was a mother with a baby, it died as well. So, I was sent to help heal sick mothers so their species could survive. There was more action-y stuff, but it's sketchy.

I had a dream about Willow and Tara living in an old, wood cabin (that I think was a summer home for Willow when she was a child?) and it was all really peaceful and happy. I can't remember if it was explicitly stated, but I got the feeling it was them in their heaven together.

I had this dream that I was just raging! Raging about something that had to do with the fact that "celebrities" like Paris Hilton and the Kardashians are the reason scientists are all leaving the US and working in Asian countries. Or something like that. It made no sense but I was so mad in the dream.

I had a series of mini-nightmares. Nothing too horrifying. But things like babysitting twins, and losing them, then I went all Black Swan and started peeling my skin off, and then my hard drive was wiped.

I was most upset about the hard drive.

I dreamed that I was officiating at a wedding. I have no idea who the couple (heterosexual) were or any of the guests. On the morning of the wedding, I realized that I had not prepared at all (typical in dreams). Also they said that I would be sitting at the head table in the reception but they hadn't figured on Rachel.

I dreamed that there were duplicate baby-sized versions of the Duchess in Alice in Wonderland. I had extremely broken sleep and one bizarre dream after another!

I dreamed that I was the place kicker on a college football team.the first year was great. The second year it was like everyone noticed that I was a girl and the harrassment started.

IRL - I slept naked last night due to some er... chafing ... from my long run yesterday. IRL - I don't usually do so because our kids climb into bed with us all the time.

In the dream - of course I was naked somewhere...

Creepy weirdness...

I dreamt buildings were collapsing and some of the people I was with in the dream were crushed. A group of people, myself included, had gathered together in this makeshift sort of first-aid place, with people on stretchers in the rubble. I think we were trapped there by something, perhaps a half collapsed building. Inexplicably, many of us had dogs with us and there was one woman with a bandaged face and tubes helping her breathe. She had this little black dog next to her also with a bandaged head and tubes, and it looked like the dogs muzzle was sort of caved in. Both the woman and dog were unconscious. Overnight (still in the dream), people and dogs started disappearing and later body parts was found. Somehow it was determined that the unconscious woman with the dog was not, in fact, unconscious. She was instead controlling everyone's minds and making them believe she was unconscious, while instead she was killing people/dogs at night to feed the little black dog.

Creepy. MFing creepy.

I dreamed that I died in a plane crash with a few hundred other people. But then someone rewound the Matrix or something so the day got a redo. And I seemed to be the only person who remembered it. And I kept seeing little things (like a broom closet where there should have been a bathroom) that got missed in the rewrite. So then I didn't want to take the plane that day but everyone just thought I was being weird.

I dreamt that my best friend was 7 months pregnant. The day before she wasn't and then...poof! The next day, she was, lol. Dreams are weird.

My best friend spent the night at my house last night, and overnight I had a dream that seemed to span several months or years. It wasn't like I experienced all of that time, it was just specific scenes but you could tell a considerable amount of time had passed between each scene. And over the course of the dream, basically, a romantic relationship developed between me and the friend who was spending the night, despite her initially saying she wasn't interested in me in that way. I can only think of three scenes distinctly; the first one was the one where she said no, in the second one - which is less clear than the other two - we found out she actually did have feelings for me, and in the third we were in a relationship. In real life, I have had more-than-friendly feelings for her for quite a while now. For my completely heterosexual best friend, who is wonderfully unbothered by my sexuality but nonetheless not gay herself.

Why must I subconsciously torment myself through my dreams?

I don't remember specifics, but I dreamt that I heard from my crush, and woke up feeling very sad cause I hadn't. (Thankfully now 12 hours later I have, but at the time it was a bit upsetting.)

I had a dream last night I was at all ball much like in the ballroom scene of this amazing book I just read called "Ash" by Malinda Lo. I was in a fancy ball gown and my hair was a wreck so I went into the bathroom to brush it out. Then a girl I really like from my art class this year came in the bathroom and walked up to me and shyly said "hey I never got to tell you but I've always liked you" then I can't really remember the rest of the dream but it made me very happy and gave me a little hope.

The other night I had a dream my bedroom was transformed into a huge aquarium and in my hand was a tiny bruised bannana that I peeled which turned into a tiny octopus , which thought was very interesting.

Dreaming of performing in a singing group and yet it was members of the audience suspended in chain-link "go-go" cages several feet up! Very, very weird!

I dreamed I was pregnant. Probably 6 months or so. It felt so wonderful and I just kept touching my belly to feel how round I was. Also, I was getting married (with Rachel) but it was like everyone was acting like she was getting married and I was just there or something. It was strange.

There was a German Shepherd. A completely black German Shepherd. We were frolicking and playing together.

(you have no idea how awesome this is...usually my dreams involving German Shepherds are nightmares wherein they are chasing me and wanting to eat me....frolicking is an upgrade)

I dreamt I was fighting off Russians that were hold up around my pool and trying to invade my house. Myself and several other soldiers were shooting at them from behind the sofa, through the sliding glass doors with sniper rifles. Then suddenly they stormed us and I switched to an uzi and mowed them down. It all played out like a video game and they went 'poof' without any blood, etc. At first, the other soldiers didn't know who they were until I informed that that they were Russians because I recognized their white uniforms. Of course it never seemed strange that they were in winter snow suits in Texas.

Disclaimer: I have now, nor have I ever had anything against Russians. The only explanation I can think of is that I recently read about the 'Red Dawn' remake coming out in November and it must have stuck.

On a side note: This is not my first 'Red Dawn' dream. When I was in HS, after the movie first came out, I dreamt my friends and I were in the movie and instead of yelling, 'Red Dawn,' we yelled, 'Pink Cons!' Because we all wore pink hightop Converse, lol.

One of the worst dreams of my life:

It was apocalyptic and Rachel and I were packing stuff and wearing hats and coats and getting ready to go and the tv in the living room was on and Asher was awake and lying in the bed and we were saying good bye to him.

I woke up crying and after about 10 minutes woke Rachel up. Insane! I don't care what kind of apocalypse it was - I would never leave my kids!

Last week, in reality, I had a number of random and bizarre encounters with wild animals. A squirrel, several snakes, a hawk and two of the largest female Black Widow Spiders I've ever seen in my entire life! Now, all those other animals cute, beautiful, fascinating, but spiders....no freakin' way.

So, I keep having spider nightmares. First, there was one descending from the ceiling, dangling in front of my face. I was ducking, trying to avoid it and every time I tried to spray it, it would swing away and come at me. The second dream I had this morning right before I woke up. I dreamt there were hundreds of them covering the windows of my house with webs. They were coming after me because I killed the two I encountered last Saturday.

Ugh, arachnophobia? Yes please!

I had a dream with my mother and her partner in it. I haven't dreamed of my mother in many years but there she was. I should have gotten up at 3:00 to write it down or woken Rachel up but I didn't. I know that they were living in a house with a ginormous kitchen and it had this amazing skylight that was like artistic with all these different glass panes. But the artistic huge skylight also was partially blocked by a floating piece of ceiling so it made really amazing light patterns. Mom didn't think anything was weird about being there and then either she or her partner was going to move and one was moving first.

My friend Garth is doing the Texas Ironman today (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 run) in the Woodlands. It will be his first (he did his first half ironman in October). He had to check in on Thursday and his wife drove him to the start at 4:30 today (it starts at 7:00).

I dreamed that he kept not understanding what I was saying yesterday and thought I could give him a ride. Then I dreamed that he showed up at my house at 7:25 needing a ride. As if 1. he didn't have to be there days ago 2. You can get to the Woodlands in 1.5 hours (it's really 2.5). or ... any other number of issues with the plan. Fuck it, we both took off running for my car.
