I'm watching the football.

I'm slightly peturbed by the fact that the crowd don't seem to know the English national anthem.

They've been singing "rule Britannia" and "god save the Queen" but not once have I heard them singing "Land of hope and glory"

More soccer. It's... um... a recap of Tunisia vs Saudi Arabia.

As an aside, they keep playing this music over the stadium speakers when games finish, like it's the soccer national anthem or something. The first couple of bars sound exactly like 'Go West'.

Footy!! Rugby league - Brisbane Broncos vs St George Dragons. Dragons are winning - yay! I picked them this week in the office tipping comp, and just once I'd like to get the first game of the round right.

the Stella Artois Tim Henman/Leyton Hewitt tennis game.

So far it's a bit dull, as Tim is playing true to form and lost the first set. Hopefully it will perk up in a bit.

Yet more soccer. I'm camped in front of the TV in my study, with the heater on (it's cold here! I wonder if any of the crowd down at Circular Quay in front of the big screens there will wind up frozen), waiting for the Australia v Brazil game due to start at 1:30am.

Currently Japan and Croatia are milling around and giving the scorekeepers an easy time.

Prizzi's Honor - it's a movie with Jack Nicholson, I've never heard of it before, it's rather bizarre, but, there's nothing better on.

They stopped the race with 79 laps to go and called it finished. It had a few cautions for drizzling before it poured.

One of NBC's funniest shows, Scrubs.

Well, and I did watch Date Movie, but in my defense, I just wanted to see Alyson Hannigan.

This week I'm laughing - it's taken a while, but I'm laughing.

ETA: thinking about it, I have been drinking and that may be why it's so funny this week...
