Working at home. The kids and Rachel both had doctor's appointments today so I went in for an hour, then went to appointments and now WFH. It's really nice being here and in my pajamas (literally) and while I work I'm running laundry and etc.

Attempting to research Jewish holidays for a story I'm writing. I want to include a holiday (leaning towards Rosh Hashanah) but I know virtually nothing about Judaism so I don't want to write about it unless I can do so respectfully and accurately, which is requiring some learning. I'm also browsing facebook cause I get distracted, and occasionally glancing guiltily at the textbook I should be reading.

Getting ready to head to Kentucky at 2 in the freaking morning UGH

Busy day. We had friends over for dinner and it was really great. We cleaned and then cooked a large part of the day but it was so nice. The kids ate and played and we ate and visited and then played a little Taboo with them. Now the kitchen is cleanish (dishwasher loaded and running and all the handwashing that will fit in the dish drainer is done) and Rachel is laying down with Chiara and I'm goofing a little bit.

Laughing. Laughing like crazy. Has anyone seen the new Taco Bell commercial? I mean, seriously. If you haven't watch it, and if you're a lesbian and your mind doesn't go the place mine did....I might worry for you. The song playing in the background of a fucking TACO BELL commercial is Afternoon Delight. Seriously Taco Bell? Afternoon Delight.....I can barely think right now because this is just too funny.

As usual, doing something for someone other than me. I'm about to go pick up my nephew's prescriptions after taking him to the doctor, dropping the scripts off, grocery shopping, picking up my kid after school, taking her to get a book, cleaning the kitchen and cooking dinner. I'll be happy to go to work tomorrow:)

Watching an American Masters documentary on depression era photographer Dorothea Lange. An amazing and hauntingly beautiful body of work. What this woman was able to capture in that brief second of time...truly magnificent.

Listening to All of Me by John Legend and thinking of my wife. She's away for the time being again, school started back up and she's back at her job. I miss her as always but thinking of the summer and the awesome times we had is still all I can think of. Turn up the music!
