At the hospital earlier, my doc seemed more nervous than I was and when I signed the papers for the procedure, I started this conversation:
"Are you sure I'm not buying a washing machine signing this?"
"Uhm, no. Do you want one?!"
"No, already have one, but a dishwasher would be nice."
"I'm sorry to disappoint you. I don't have one in stock at the moment."
"Hmm, alright. I still feel like I'm selling my soul though."
"Well, dear, you are!"
"And what if I'm not pleased with the outcome?"
"Then you still have the legal 14 days of right to return the goods."
"Okay. I can deal with that..."
Yes, we were talking about my eyesight, but for Gods sake we both needed to have a good laugh. It really eased the tention. The nurse just watched us as if we had lost our minds.
