Hello Kittens-

I was just sitting here amazed that one person could have so much impact on millions of girls. Years from now there will be boards, memories and inspiration spiralling beyond anything anyone has done so far. On top of that she's married to a Chicago Cub :)

Thanks Mia.

Paula Radcliffe has announced that she will race in the 10,000m tonight. Stupid idiots on tv are talking about how it could be her redemption. :confused Now I'm sorry, but why the hell does that woman need redemption??? Because she finished 4th a couple of times and ran herself to exhaustion in the marathon? Not things that need redemption in my book. The way some people were calling her a quitter made me almost ashamed to be English. Would they rather her have kept running and dropped dead from exhaustion after the finish?

This is a woman who was most upset about was 'letting everyone down' and they still talk about her in this way. I hate that this country has so few athletic hopes that they jump on the back of anyone that has any chance of doing well. Now it's Kelly Holmes' turn to have the pressure of people saying she's a cert to win the 1500... :spin do these people never learn?

For yesterday is but a dream, and tomorrow is only a vision; but today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness, and every tomorrow a vision of hope.
It's never too late to be who you might have been.

hee hee, still have a chance at the bronze though.

And Garfield yeah that booing thing was bad. From my understanding those people had bought those tickets a long time ago in expectations of seeing their greek sprinter but it's not the american's fault, or anyone else at the track that he wasn't sprinting. Kostantinos Kenteris is the only one responsible for that.

The cover of Sports Illustrated showed the US Womens Softball team with the headline "The Real Dream Team". We have the US Womens Soccer Team and Kerri Walsh and Misty May who are also "Dream Teams". But I have to say, my favorite headline of the entire Olympic Games was this morning when I read:

US Women Show Dream Team How It's Done

Just the headline sums it up.

I've enjoyed all the events I've watched this year. Congratulations to ALL of the athletes!!!

Love to All,
